Chapter 41 - Chapter 38

Brooms, Bells, and the Fastest Way to Make Hogwarts Jealous

Somewhere between classes, library visits, and late-night corridor walks, Lucien met Angelina Johnson's best friends from the Quidditch team.

And that was when Hogwarts learned something new.

Katie Bell had a twin sister.

"Yes," Angelina said proudly, pointing between them. "Two of them."

Katie Bell—tall, confident, sharp-eyed—had an intense beauty that reminded Lucien of Maya Yotsuba, calm and powerful.

Her twin, Clara Bell, looked similar yet completely different—softer, playful, with the same face as Miya Shiba, smiling like she already knew the punchline.

They were second-years.

And somehow, within minutes, they were laughing with Lucien like they'd known him for years.

"You're dangerous," Katie decided calmly.

Clara nodded. "Angelina keeps collecting weird people."

Lucien smiled. "It's a talent."

🧹 First Flying Lesson

Lucien's first flying lesson arrived faster than expected.

Hufflepuff and Slytherin gathered on the grass, brooms neatly lined up.

Lucien greeted Daphne, Cassandra, and Draco with an easy smile before standing beside Akeno and Susan.

Madam Hooch stepped forward, whistle glinting.

"Stick out your right hand," she instructed. "And when I say, command your broom."

She paused.

"Up!"

Lucien's broom jumped neatly into his hand.

So did Akeno's.

Madam Hooch blinked.

A moment later, Daphne, Cassandra, and Draco succeeded—on their third try.

Lucien nodded approvingly. "Not bad."

Draco smiled shyly.

☁️ Flying Comes Naturally

Once in the air, Lucien barely had to think.

His broom moved like it wanted to listen—smooth, lazy arcs through the sky, effortless turns, perfect balance.

Madam Hooch stared.

"…Natural talent," she muttered.

Then someone shouted, "Tag!"

Lucien grinned.

What followed was absolute chaos.

Lucien, Akeno, Susan, Daphne, Cassandra, and Draco darted through the air, laughing, dodging, chasing each other between cheers and gasps.

Others joined in.

Soon half the class was flying wildly, laughter echoing across the grounds.

By the time Madam Hooch blew her whistle, everyone was smiling—and completely exhausted.

🏰 The Rumor Mill Explodes

By dinner, Hogwarts had a new obsession.

"Did you hear?"

"They played tag."

"On brooms."

"It looked amazing."

Even Harry heard about it.

He crossed his arms, eyes shining with determination.

"…I'm doing that too," he muttered.

☕ Staff Room Reactions

Madam Hooch entered the staff room, still smiling.

McGonagall looked up. "Did the students enjoy Flying?"

"They loved it," Madam Hooch replied.

Then she turned to Professor Sprout.

"That Lionhardt boy," she added. "Exceptional control. Natural flyer."

Sprout beamed. "I knew it."

"Our Hufflepuff team might need a new Chaser," she said proudly.

Snape looked up from his tea. "Inform me if he joins."

Sprout nodded. "Of course."

Flitwick clapped happily.

McGonagall sighed—but smiled despite herself.

Another talent.

Another reason Hogwarts was changing.

Out on the grounds, Lucien laughed quietly as Alolan Vulpix yawned on his shoulder.

Flying, he decided, was fun.

And Hogwarts?

It was starting to feel like home.
