Chapter 44 - chapter 42

The request came without warning.

"Alexander."

Odin stood on the palace balcony, Gungnir resting against his shoulder, his single eye sharp.

"Spar with me."

Alexander paused.

"…With weapons?"

Odin's lips curved slightly.

"Use your katana."

For a brief moment, the palace seemed to hold its breath.

Alexander nodded.

"Yes, Father."

The Call That Shook Asgard

Word spread like wildfire.

Odin All-Father versus Prince Alexander Ashborn Odinson.

The training grounds filled within minutes.

Einherjar.

Valkyries.

Nobles.

Warriors.

Even Thor and Loki arrived early.

"…Again?" Thor muttered. "Last time, I could feel the heat for days."

Loki's eyes were narrowed, sharp.

"This won't be the same," he said quietly.

At the center of the vast training ground—

Odin and Alexander stood face to face.

The wind stilled.

Odin planted Gungnir into the stone.

"Ready?"

Alexander reached behind him.

And drew his blade.

Ryūjin Jakka

The moment the zanpakutō left its sheath—

The world burned.

Flames erupted outward in a perfect sphere, blackened stone cracking instantly beneath Alexander's feet. Heat crushed the air itself, warping vision.

"Again with that sword—!" Thor shouted, instinctively stepping back.

Loki swallowed.

"…It's hotter than last time."

Alexander held the blade calmly at his side.

Ryūjin Jakka responded.

Not raging.

Acknowledging.

Odin's smile widened.

"Good."

Then—

They vanished.

Clash Beyond the Ground

The shockwave shattered the training ground.

Stone exploded upward as Odin and Alexander reappeared high in the sky, weapons already colliding.

BOOM—!

Lightning clashed with flame.

The ground below split like glass.

Alexander moved first—fast, precise—his blade carving arcs of compressed heat, each swing capable of erasing mountains.

Odin countered effortlessly, Gungnir moving with impossible precision.

"Do not hold back," Odin commanded mid-clash.

Alexander answered calmly.

"I'm not."

But he was.

He remained firmly at Sub–Heavenly Father level.

The two gods vanished again—

Reappearing miles above Asgard.

Then miles lower.

Then directly above the shattered arena.

Each collision sent waves of heat and divine force rippling across the city.

The crowd watched in stunned silence.

Neck to neck.

Strike for strike.

Neither yielding.

The All-Father's Command

Odin spun his spear and took a stance.

The sky darkened.

Runes ignited around Gungnir.

"Alexander," Odin said, his voice carrying across the battlefield,

"show me what you are made of."

Alexander smiled.

Not arrogant.

Not hesitant.

Proud.

"Yes, Father."

The flames changed.

They deepened.

Condensed.

The heat multiplied—not spreading wildly, but collapsing inward, becoming absolute.

The air screamed.

Then—

Alexander disappeared.

A voice echoed.

"Bankai."

Time seemed to stop.

"Zanka no Tachi — Ryūjin Jakka."

The End That Burns All Things

Flame did not explode.

It vanished.

And that terrified everyone.

The next instant—

The battlefield was engulfed in invisible, absolute heat.

Stone vaporized.

Air ignited.

Reality trembled.

Odin roared as he unleashed his full power, Odinforce erupting, lightning and authority colliding head-on with the end-flame of the Phoenix blade.

For a moment—

Asgard thought the world might end.

Then—

Silence.

The flames vanished.

The lightning faded.

Two figures hovered in the air.

Breathing.

Weapons lowered.

A Draw

Slowly, Odin laughed.

A deep, satisfied laugh.

"…A draw."

Alexander exhaled.

Ryūjin Jakka sealed itself instantly, flames retreating obediently.

They descended to the broken ground.

Thor stared, jaw slack.

"…A draw?"

Loki's eyes were shining.

"…At Sub–Heavenly Father."

Odin placed a hand on Alexander's shoulder.

"You did not surpass me," Odin said proudly.

"But you stood with me."

Alexander bowed slightly.

"That's enough for now."

The crowd erupted.

Cheers shook the realm.

And deep within Asgard—

Every god understood one thing clearly.

The youngest prince had reached a level where even the All-Father could no longer treat him as a child.
