Chapter 132 - chapter 130

The Element Howard Hid

The mansion was quiet again.

Blueprints covered the floor.

Holograms spun in the air.

Tony stood at the center, eyes locked on the Stark Expo model.

Alex watched from a distance.

He didn't interfere.

This was Tony's path.

Then—

Tony saw it.

"…Dad," he whispered.

The lattice.

The negative space.

The impossible symmetry.

A new element.

Something Howard had known could exist—but couldn't create in his time.

Tony worked through the night.

When the reactor stabilized and the palladium toxicity readings dropped to zero—

Tony laughed breathlessly.

"I'm not dying," he said.

Alex smiled faintly.

A Goodbye and a Hint

Morning came.

Phil Coulson packed his things.

Alex stopped him near the door.

"Where are you headed?"

"New Mexico," Phil replied. "Something about a hammer."

Alex raised an eyebrow.

"If you see a blond muscle idiot," he said calmly,

"tell him I said hi."

Phil blinked.

"…I'll know him when I see him?"

Alex nodded. "You will."

Then added quietly—

"You'll learn who I am through him."

Phil studied Alex for a moment.

Then nodded once.

And left.

The Call

The phone rang.

Tony answered.

Whiplash.

A challenge.

An invitation.

Tony looked at Alex.

"…Expo."

Alex nodded.

"Do what you must."

Tony suited up.

The new armor sealed perfectly around him.

"Iron Man," Alex said calmly,

"go."

Stark Expo — Chaos Returns

Drones activated.

Weapons hot.

Panic spread through the crowd.

Veronica grabbed Pepper's hand instinctively.

Before fear could take hold—

Alex stepped forward.

Invisible pressure spread outward.

A barrier formed—silent, absolute—encasing Veronica, Pepper, and nearby civilians.

Bullets sparked and vanished against nothing.

Explosions bent away from them unnaturally.

Pepper stared.

"…Alex?"

"I've got you," he said calmly.

Natasha Moves

Natasha didn't wait.

She grabbed Happy.

"Hammer Industries," she said. "Now."

They left—just like canon.

Alex didn't stop them.

He didn't need to.

Iron Man vs. Whiplash

The fight unfolded in fire and steel.

Tony struggled.

Rhodey joined the fight.

Drones fell.

Whiplash screamed defiance.

And lost.

When the final explosion faded—

The Expo stood.

Damaged.

But alive.

Because someone had ensured it.

Aftermath

Emergency crews arrived.

Crowds were evacuated.

Veronica looked up at Alex.

"…You didn't even move."

Alex glanced at the sky.

"This wasn't my fight," he said softly.

"It was Tony's."

And somewhere—

The universe watched.

Satisfied.

Because the Phoenix Monarch had protected—

But not interfered.
