William's eyes opened slowly. He felt hands on his shoulders, shaking him with urgency.
Dalia's face hovered above him, depression plastered around her eyes. Behind her, Alackster stood, looking down at him.
"Finally," Dalia said, taking her hands away from his shoulders. "You've been out for a while."
William blinked, trying to observe the situation. His side where the wound had been still hurt, but he could not feel the texture of it anymore, neither was there blood anywhere on his clothes.
The injury had vanished.
"What happened?" he said, holding his head.
"We don't know..." Alackster replied. "I woke up first, then Dalia."
"I tried waking Arlo... But he won't budge." Dalia looked towards Arlo's dormant body.
"Where's Acheron?" William asked, looking around.
Dalia glanced back to the spot where they last saw her before they fell unconscious. "Haven't seen her."
"Me neither," Alackster added. "She wasn't here when I woke up."
