Catalina stood up and walked out of the cell. After two days of being locked up, she was happy to be out.
The guard led her down the quiet hallway and into a small room. Inside, there were just two chairs and a wooden table.
Catalina looked over and saw someone standing by the window, looking out. Hearing the door, he slowly turned around.
Her heart dropped. It was the Master.
As soon as the guard left and the heavy door clicked shut, Catalina stepped forward and slapped him across the face. The sharp sound echoed in the small room.
The Master didn't even flinch. Instead, a dark smile touched his lips. Before she could pull away, he grabbed her waist, pulled her tightly against his chest, and buried his face in her neck, kissing her deeply.
She moaned and threw him back against the wooden table. Even though she was furious, she had to admit to herself that she was secretly happy to see him.
She was so stressed out.
