Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Twin-Headed Dragon Refresh

Levi paused for a moment, then opened his inventory and tossed a potion bottle containing a light brown transparent liquid to Alysse.

[Zero Alcohol Anti-Fatigue Sparkling Wine · 4-Star: After consumption, it can replace sleep to invigorate the spirit and relieve fatigue. Frequent use in a short period may cause drug resistance and lead to side effects such as 'insomnia' and 'irritability.']

Back on the 18th floor, having mastered the "Pure Water Blessing Bartending Technique," he naturally didn't just develop the Ice and Fire Wine. He also created an anti-fatigue wine specifically for dungeon raids, which could partially replace sleep. There was also a strengthening wine that, by incorporating the concept of "Mana Release," could boost all stats except mana by 200 points. An extreme strengthening wine that increased a single stat by 500 points, excluding mana. An ice enchantment wine that temporarily granted ice elemental enchantment when poured on a weapon. A force field wine that formed a mana shield on the body after drinking, capable of blocking certain attacks. And a regeneration wine that could repair minor limb damage.

With the development abilities of "Mystery G" and "Harmony S," Levi had practically turned his skills into an art form. However, listening to his words, the two girls couldn't help but show expressions of surprise, even shock. Especially Alysse, who, since she didn't need to help lure monsters, only needed to alternate with Kaguya Gojou in support roles, casually teased, "I wanted to say this when we were first summoned. Aren't you a bit too monstrous?"

"Enchantment magic, shield magic, wide-area attack magic with self-recovery, blessing magic, spatial storage magic. If I remember correctly, we who are born in the lower world, even with divine blessings, can only learn up to three magics, right?"

Levi glanced at the girl beside him, "It's just the effect of skills. There's an elf girl in the Loki Familia who can learn all the same-race magic."

"Oh?" Alysse, having been dead for five years before being summoned as a Heroic Spirit, naturally didn't know about the "Thousand Elf" Lefiya Viridis, who had transferred from the academy to the Loki Familia during that time. "Wow, Orario is really terrifying now~"

Then, she was knocked on the head by Kaguya Gojou, who corrected her, "Levi is the impressive one, not Orario."

"Ahaha, that's true."

The three chatted as they ascended. About five hours later, they successfully reached the 28th floor. Unlike the previous floors, Levi unexpectedly sensed the presence of many adventurers through his "Mana Release: Circle" on this safe floor. After a moment's thought, he realized it was likely because the floor boss of the 27th floor—the "Twin-Headed Dragon" Amphisbaena—had been spawned by the dungeon.

'Well, isn't this a coincidence.'

Levi's lips curled slightly, and without hesitation, he led Alysse and Kaguya Gojou toward the 27th floor. Although the two girls didn't possess their employer's sensory skills, as seasoned adventurers, they could vaguely sense something through their honed sixth sense and the increasingly palpable ominous aura in the air.

Kaguya Gojou spoke up, "Levi, it seems the Twin-Headed Dragon has respawned."

Levi didn't stop, "Yes, I know."

Hearing his response, the white-haired girl was momentarily stunned. But soon, she understood her employer's intention.

"Are you planning to challenge the floor boss? Just... with the three of us?"

The "Twin-Headed Dragon" Amphisbaena had a potential individual power level of lv5. Considering the terrain restrictions of water-based combat, the difficulty of defeating it was effectively one level higher. It usually required a team of a dozen or so well-coordinated lv5 and lv4 adventurers to safely take it down.

Kaguya Gojou considered herself quite capable, able to reach about lv4 upper-tier strength when going all out. Her friend Alysse was a standard lv5 combatant. As for Levi, based on his magical prowess alone, he was more than adequate as a rear guard. However, a three-person team for such a challenge was not something Kaguya Gojou was optimistic about.

Alysse, though often carefree, was once the captain of the Astraea Familia. She was no slouch in strategy. With a serious expression, she advised, "I also don't recommend you challenge the floor boss, Levi."

Levi looked at the two girls with some confusion. "When did I say I was taking you to challenge the floor boss?"

"Huh?" x2

Kaguya Gojou frowned, "Then why are you heading towards the 27th floor..."

—running in that direction? She didn't get to finish her sentence because, in the next moment, Levi's calm voice reached their ears.

"From the start, the one challenging the Twin-Headed Dragon is just me."

"???" x2

"?!" x2

"!!!" x2

"Are you out of your mind?!" Kaguya Gojou raised her voice slightly, "Even if you want to die, don't drag Alysse and me into it. We're still bound to you."

Her tone wasn't pleasant, but it was understandable. Having just been resurrected not long ago and promised that their former comrades would also be summoned back to the lower world, the boy before them suddenly decided to abandon his previous caution and recklessly charge at the Twin-Headed Dragon. Anyone would find that hard to accept.

Alysse, however, after a moment of thought, patted her friend's shoulder and suddenly asked, "Are you confident?"

Levi nodded, never once stopping his stride.

"You..."

Kaguya Gojou wanted to persuade him further but was stopped by Alysse, "Let's trust Levi this once. He doesn't seem like someone who would gamble with his life."

"Besides, we're here too. While we might not be able to defeat the Twin-Headed Dragon, I'm confident we can at least rescue him and get him back to the 28th floor."

With her friend saying this, what else could Kaguya Gojou do but sigh in resignation and quicken her pace to catch up with the boy ahead?

Under normal circumstances, considering team stability, Levi wouldn't mind explaining his situation to Kaguya Gojou—after all, many of his trump cards would eventually be revealed. But the Twin-Headed Dragon, which only respawned once a month, might not afford him that time. No one knew when the medium to large familias of Orario would come to hunt it.

Fortunately, Amphisbaena seemed to have been spawned less than a day ago. When the three-person team arrived on the 27th floor, they found no other teams engaged in battle with it.

Volume 1: Author's Note on Release

As the title suggests, this book will be released tomorrow. A few things to mention:

Firstly, this book is only intended to cover the DanMachi universe, so it won't be very long, likely wrapping up at around 600,000 to 700,000 words. Of course, if I come up with interesting plotlines while writing, the story might be adjusted accordingly.

Secondly, regarding the goddess of beauty, according to the current outline, one will be included, but it won't be Freya, Aphrodite, or Ishtar. Instead, it will be... well, since it involves the true main storyline of this book, I'll keep it a secret for now. Rest assured, this goddess will be a pure and innocent character, the kind who faints at the sight of nudity.

Thirdly, some readers are concerned that the gacha system might lead to an economic collapse in Orario. The book already provides a solution: initially, Faris is used for gacha, and later, magic stones are used. As for the issue of magic stones only having half the normal purchase price, there's a solution for that too. The FGO's Mona Lisa costume has been modified to double the exchange rate of magic stones for Faris vouchers. Additionally, there are 4-star and 5-star costumes that increase the drop rate of dragon scales and dragon hearts, which the protagonist will exchange for as the story progresses.

Fourthly, regarding updates: on the first day of release, 15 chapters will be uploaded, totaling 30,000 words. Subsequently, updates will ensure at least two chapters per day, totaling 4,000 words, with a monthly minimum of 150,000 words.
