"Then she deserved it." Hermione's face instantly turned cold, and any thought she had that Harry was a little impulsive vanished immediately.
If she really insulted his parents right in front of Harry, then whatever Harry did to his aunt was not excessive.
"I'll write Harry back. How about we go to Diagon Alley tomorrow? We can buy our books then."
Hermione picked up the other two envelopes on the desk and shook them; they were the new school year booklists sent by Hogwarts.
"Okay." Lynn replied in a flat tone, watching Hermione write the reply.
At the same time, she took the envelope addressed to her, opened it, and carefully checked the titles on the booklist.
After Hermione finished writing, she used the Owl they had rented before the holidays to send the letter to Harry. She turned around and saw Lynn reading the booklist.
"How is it? There aren't any titles similar to Lockhart's books, are there?"
"No." Lynn shook her head expressionlessly.
"That's good," Hermione let out a huge sigh of relief, then opened her own booklist to examine it carefully. "the monster book of monsters?"
"Required for Care of Magical Creatures class? That title is a bit strange."
Hermione scratched her head, then stopped dwelling on the book's slightly odd name. She picked up a pen and marked all the books she needed on the list.
Lynn looked at the booklist in her hand, guessing the content based on the titles and corresponding courses.
When choosing electives at the end of the last semester, she had originally wanted to take every class, believing that studying required full effort, achieving the best, and that no knowledge should be abandoned.
However, this choice was jointly vetoed by the three senior students: Penelope, Maranhao, and Marietta.
Ravenclaw has "mass-produced" top students for many years, and quite a few people have chosen to take all the classes.
Thus, they knew what was required to take all the classes: a time-turner.
A powerful magical item that can manipulate time—useful, but extremely dangerous.
Risking one's life to use a time-turner for just a few classes was clearly not worth it.
Furthermore, some of those electives were completely unnecessary for Lynn to take.
Muggle Studies. Currently, the Wizarding World's understanding of Muggles is still stuck in the Middle Ages.
Lynn already knows a lot about Muggles, both in this world and her original one, so she absolutely doesn't need to take this extremely outdated class.
Divination. This class relies too much on talent, and Professor Trelawney, the Professor, also seems a bit unreliable, so it holds little value for taking.
After the three seniors' analysis, combined with Hermione saying she wanted to take electives with Lynn when she woke up and chose her schedule.
This completely convinced her to give up Muggle Studies and Divination Class, making her timetable look normal.
Hermione and the three seniors all breathed a huge sigh of relief about this; none of them wanted Lynn to push herself too hard.
And obviously, studying using a time-turner definitely fell into that "pushing too hard" category.
After a night's rest, when they arrived at Diagon Alley the next day, Hermione looked pale and needed Lynn's support to recover for quite a while.
Lynn pulled a Coke out of her bag and handed it to Hermione, "Have some, it will help a lot."
"Thanks." Hermione rubbed her chest, took the Coke, and guzzled a large mouthful.
She covered her mouth and burped several times before finally suppressing the feeling of nausea.
The knight bus... riding it is truly unbearable. If it weren't faster than the Subway, Hermione would have taken the Subway.
Once she had recovered sufficiently, Lynn followed Hermione into the Leaky Cauldron.
Upon arriving at the Leaky Cauldron again, Lynn's eyes quickly scanned everything inside.
It was no different from the last time she visited, she quickly concluded.
"Hermione, Lynn, over here."
Harry swallowed the fried egg in his mouth and waved at the two girls.
"Good morning, Harry."
Lynn and Hermione walked over together, sat down, and greeted him.
"Good morning," Harry nodded with a smile, "Have you two had breakfast yet?"
"We have." Lynn said in a voice as deep and steady as a dark pool.
"Harry, why did you... why did you blow up your aunt?"
Hermione looked at Harry, hesitant, but finally asked the question.
Harry didn't mind Hermione's question, but his face showed his displeasure toward the Dursley family.
"She insulted my parents."
"Lynn was right," Hermione sighed. "She absolutely deserved it. Well done, Harry, and luckily you weren't punished."
"I know," Harry shrugged. "I was wondering myself why I didn't get any punishment."
"I thought there would at least be a warning."
"But Hermione, what did you just say Lynn guessed correctly?"
"Lynn said that given your personality, you wouldn't likely do that to your aunt just for insulting you, so the most likely scenario was that she insulted your parents." Hermione briefly explained Lynn's analysis.
Harry thought carefully about what he would do if his aunt only insulted him... He rubbed his nose and nodded, "Lynn is right. If she had only insulted me, I probably would have just ignored it."
"Although I've said it before," Harry looked at Lynn with admiration and awe, "Lynn's analytical and thinking ability is truly amazing."
"Thank you for the compliment. I still have many shortcomings."
Lynn nodded without any change in her expression.
After finishing breakfast, Lynn and Hermione followed Harry into Diagon Alley.
As Harry led the two toward the bookstore, he spoke over his shoulder, "Ron also wrote to me yesterday. He'll be coming to Diagon Alley this afternoon."
"If you two aren't in a hurry to leave, you can see him this afternoon."
"That's fine," Hermione nodded. "We don't have anything urgent."
"Great." Harry gave an okay sign.
Following behind Hermione and Harry, Lynn's gaze kept drifting toward a corner not far behind them.
In that dark corner was a large black dog that had been following them ever since they entered Diagon Alley.
It had been following them continuously and was now almost at the bookstore.
