He saw her thrashing in the bed while scratching invisible things off her body and tears trickeled down her face. Alex thought she was crazy from her head injury.
Jin was a bit frightened from the patient's screams but he quickly regained composure and held her thrashing body down.
"Calm down, okay?" he softly said.
Alex shot him a glare by how he placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Hey,hey there.....it's okay, you're fine with us."he softly spoke.
Jin gazed at her terrified green eyes. Looking at the calm face the man had ,gave Estadey a strong sense of safety.
Her rapid breathing slowed down, her racing pulse gradually became normal and the urge to stare into his dark grey eyes felt enchanting.
He turn away and opened the medical kit which was on the floor beside him. Then started mixing some herbs in a small wooden cup.
Alex was silently monitoring the two in the background as if he wasn't there in the first place. Something in him didn't sit right and he knew it was anger brewing in his chest.
After a few minutes the medicine was ready and Jin passed the cup to her.She slowly took the cup even though her hands trembled a little but she drank slowly.
Jin noticed. "Let me help hold it for you."he said while gently making her take sips of it. While drinking the medicine, Estadey couldn't help but drive her attention from the cup to those enchanting grey eyes.
Jin saw how the girl curiously stared at me and it made him smile in memory of his cousin's curious green eyes. Alex noticed the small smile tugging at Jin's lips and the anger in him snapped.
Not by the smile but the fact that the patient was shamelessly staring at his lips as well.
Alex stepped forward and quickly snatched the cup from Jin's hold . A gasp escaped her lips from the sudden spill on her chest.
"Alex !" he called out. Seeing how angry he was made Jin wonder what's going on with him all of a sudden. Alex was staring at Estadey dead in the eyes.
His glare made her feel uncomfortable even though she averted her gaze on her tightly held hands which rested uneasy on her lap.
Jin sprung up from the chair and gave the cup back to the little girl. "This attitude needs to stop." he said in a low voice.
Alex folded his arms."What attitude?"he yelled.
Estadey flinched from the loud voice. "It's fine sir,please don't fight each other. " she said while nervously smiling.
"And whose talking to you,brat ?" Alex angrily asked.
Jin saw how Alex was glaring at the girl and internally sighed. "Okay,enough Alex, why are you so unreasonable at all times but now" he asked while distancing him from the girl.
"I'm the doctor here so it's best if you leave."he said while pushing Jin out of the room. "But Alex this isn't goo-" his was cut in his sentence as soon as the door slammed shut on him.
Frustrated, he banged on the door."Listen Alex, if you have a problem with me treating your patients then I'll stop,but lashing out on the girl was childish of you."he said.
" Forget it,I'll never meddle in your affairs, doctor. "he said then left.
Alex felt bothered by his statement and opened the door, he called out to Jin.
But he didn't stop and passed through the exit. Alex felt dejected, knowing he repeated the same mistake. "Why did I treat him like that, he's disappointed, right? " he asked himself.
