Everyone followed the assistant producer, gradually approaching the side door of the warehouse, when a British actor appeared from somewhere and joined the group.
"Did they go in?"
Matthew was right behind Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, and heard the former's hushed question. The British actor nodded and whispered, "Kate Jeffrey went in a while ago. Tom West just went in two minutes ago."
"Good!" Michael Fassbender revealed a shark-like smile, "Very good!"
Everyone needed to pick up new costumes and had to enter this warehouse. Besides, Michael Fassbender had already greeted the assistant producer last night, and they had a tacit understanding.
Everything they were doing now was for the crew and outsiders to see.
The assistant producer arrived at the side door and asked, surprised, "Why is the lock open here?"
"Hurry and take us to get our clothes!" James McAvoy, seeing that the assistant producer was also getting carried away with acting, urged, "We still have training later."
The assistant producer opened the warehouse side door and entered first. Matthew followed Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, and also walked in.
This group of people had a great understanding. As soon as they entered the warehouse, everyone lightened their steps and stopped talking.
Inside the weapons warehouse, Kate Jeffrey was half-reclining in front of a giant prop gun cabinet, behind her a row of M1 Garands and Chicago typewriters.
Tom West stood in front of her, took out the equipment he had brought that morning, and tore open the packaging. The oil inside seemed a bit excessive, and he also smelled a slightly pungent fragrance.
"Hurry up!" Kate Jeffrey urged, "Hurry up! What are you spacing out for?"
With the arrow already on the string, Tom West looked down and, apart from a cool sensation in his hand, found no problems, so he proceeded.
In such a moment of heated passion, who would consider such trivial matters?
Matthew, among the actors, turned into the branching corridor. Michael Fassbender gave James McAvoy a look, "Prepare for action."
James McAvoy's hand went into his bulging jacket pocket.
Just then, a high-pitched, piercing sound, as if it could reach the sky, suddenly erupted from ahead. Even through a door, it was incredibly clear.
"Ah…"
It was a woman's extraordinarily sharp voice, a sound of indescribable terror, as if she had been violated by every man in the crew.
Subsequently, a man's muffled roar also came through.
Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy exchanged glances, unsure of what was happening.
"Tom West!" Kate Jeffrey's sharp voice rang out again, "What did you do! Are you burning me with fire?"
"Ah…"
Her voice grew increasingly high-pitched, as if an irresistible force was pulling her into an abyss.
Matthew was stunned. Could the effect really be that powerful?
The two people inside the weapons prop warehouse seemed to have gone mad, continuously making all sorts of strange noises. The people in the corridor were bewildered, not knowing what to do for a moment.
"Get out of here!"
Finally, Kate Jeffrey uttered a normal sentence. Tom West roared, "You're convulsing, I can't get out, how can I leave!"
"Damn it!" Kate Jeffrey's scream was so awful, it was like fingernails scraping a rusty iron plate, "Where's my phone? Where's my phone! Hurry and call for medical help! I'm going to die like this…"
Hearing this, Michael Fassbender couldn't help but reveal a shark-like smile and shouted loudly, "Who's there? Do you need help?"
Having said that, he gave James McAvoy a look, and the latter shouted to the people around him, "Someone is screaming! Everyone, hurry and save them!"
Their voices were not quiet.
The people inside the weapons warehouse must have heard them. Tom West's roar rang out again, "Don't come over! We're fine!"
Tom West was, after all, a recently discharged soldier, and at such a moment, he still maintained a relatively clear mind.
But Kate Jeffrey had never experienced anything like this and couldn't care less about anything else. She loudly said, "Hurry! Hurry! I need help! Quick, find a doctor! I'm going to die! Ah! Ah—I'm really going to die! Oh God, please forgive me… I don't want to die…"
By the end, her voice was already tinged with a cry, even more miserable than a medieval woman suffering at the stake of the church.
Suddenly, Matthew felt a bit worried. Would Kate Jeffrey be in mortal danger? It shouldn't be, after all, it was just menthol oil.
Originally, he had even considered super-concentrated pepper spray, but that stuff was too easily discovered.
By this point, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy wouldn't care what Tom West said. Although the turn of events was completely unexpected and rendered their previous plan mostly useless, with Kate Jeffrey's cries for help as a reason, they rushed to the door of the weapons prop warehouse and kicked it open.
Then, upon seeing the two strangely posed people in the warehouse, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy simultaneously widened their eyes and opened their mouths, seemingly unsure of what to do.
"Help them! Help them!" Michael Coulitz rushed into the warehouse from beside Matthew, "Hurry and help them!"
More than twenty people thundered into the warehouse, then collectively froze.
Kate Jeffrey and Tom West lay on the ground, strangely covered by a piece of clothing in between them. The former kept trying to roll, but couldn't separate from the latter, only able to twist wildly.
Seeing this scene, Matthew suppressed a laugh, certain that Kate Jeffrey was in no danger, just feeling a bit uncomfortable.
But Kate Jeffrey wasn't just a bit uncomfortable; she was already sobbing, her face streaked with snot and tears.
"Save me! Please, save me!" She reached out to the crowd, pleading, "Please, take me to a doctor."
Tom West endured the pain, "No! You…"
Before he could finish his sentence, Michael Fassbender interrupted him, calling out to his companions, "Don't just stand there! Hurry and save them!"
Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy led the way, and seven or eight actors surrounded them. Although the two couldn't separate due to some peculiar reason, there were many of them, and they quickly lifted the two people and carried them away.
Everyone seemed to have forgotten that Kate Jeffrey and Tom West weren't wearing clothes… With a piece of underwear hanging between Kate Jeffrey and Tom West, they were carried out of the warehouse by the crowd.
Although Tom West was very strong, with so many people grabbing him, and his vital part trapped, he had no room to resist. His words were also drowned out by Kate Jeffrey's sharp screams and wails.
As if that wasn't enough, Michael Fassbender gave James McAvoy a look, reminding him, "Hurry and find a doctor!"
James McAvoy understood. He had another person take his place in carrying, and then he sprinted forward.
"Help! Doctor!" He yelled at the top of his lungs as he ran, "Someone's dying! Where's the doctor! Hurry and save them! Help!"
It was lunchtime, and there were originally only a few people outside the warehouse. When James McAvoy cried for help, dozens of people immediately ran out from the nearby restaurant, office building, and pyrotechnics department.
Watching a spectacle like this is a universal human trait.
Tom West saw the shadowy figures of onlookers ahead and finally closed his mouth, slowly shutting his eyes, his old face turning crimson.
When had he ever been so humiliated?
As he was carried forward, whispers and discussions arose around him.
"What's going on with these two?"
"How ridiculous, messing around and ending up like this."
"A pair of dogs."
"So shameful, if it were me, I'd definitely find a place to crash and die."
"Help! Doctor!" The person looking for a doctor ahead was still shouting loudly, "Someone's dying! Where's the doctor! Hurry and save them! Help!"
More and more people came out, pointing and gesticulating at Kate Jeffrey and Tom West.
Compared to Tom West, who felt utterly humiliated, Kate Jeffrey couldn't care less about any of that. She only felt as if she was being roasted over a fire, on the verge of dying at any moment.
Matthew looked at the tearful and suffering Kate Jeffrey, without even a hint of sympathy. He was a small person, not understanding the grand principle of repaying evil with good, only knowing that to deal with bad people, one must use even worse methods.
The smile on his lips flashed and disappeared. The oppressive mood he had felt since the conflict that day instantly lifted. He looked up at the sky, and even though it was November, he thought the London weather was truly wonderful.
After walking a distance behind the actors, he gradually slowed down when no one was paying attention, falling into the crowd of onlookers, and finally stopped, no longer bothering with Kate Jeffrey. With Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, that pair of buddies, she wouldn't have it easy.
Following the crowd of onlookers, Matthew arrived at the infirmary. The people in front carried Kate Jeffrey and Tom West into the infirmary with many hands, and the crowd that had gathered behind showed no signs of dispersing, all blocking the infirmary door to watch the show.
Such incidents, even in a Hollywood film crew, were relatively rare. It would provide more gossip to discuss later about industry rumors.
Matthew saw Michael Coulitz come out of the infirmary, walked over, and asked, "How are things? What's the situation now?"

He also saw Matthew, Michael Coulitz, and the others. This wasn't the place to talk, so he gave everyone a look and immediately headed towards the cafeteria.
When they reached a secluded spot, he covered his mouth and burst into laughter. He was laughing so hard that his body started to tremble.
The others, recalling the sight of Kate Jeffrey and Tom West, also started to laugh.
"Although our plan was interrupted by the unexpected events and didn't come into play," Michael Fassbender said to everyone, "I like this unexpected turn!"
