Ren smiled at his statement as he said, "Actually, I have a possible answer to that."
The Emperor stared at him, curious.
Ren smiled as he spoke, a hand behind his back. "Because you're a leader."
The Emperor paused, staring at him. He didn't understand what Ren meant by that. But Ren smiled as he said, "I want to make a deal with you."
"I will never get involved with the affairs of the three realms. I'll leave to a far distance and live peacefully. I give you my word that I will never interfere. I won't support any sides—I'll just disappear. But only under one condition."
The Emperor hesitated before he asked, "And what is this condition?"
Ren smiled. "I want to see the God of Fate. Have your men lead me to where I can meet him. That's my only condition."
Silence.
The Heavenly Emperor said nothing. He simply stood there and stared at Ren.
He took his time, thinking it through while he watched Ren smile at him as if he had no worries in the world.
