Located in the heart of the Holy Empire was a dungeon, so unique that it became a hub for Adventurers of all levels.
It was one of the few dungeons on the planet with unique properties making it quite dangerous. But as the saying goes; Danger and rewards go hand in hand. Hence it's popularity.
It was so popular that it was given a nickname by the populace. The Barbarian's Requiem.
The dungeon's theme was set to a battlefield and the dungeon monsters where
buffed by the palpable bloodlust while the Adventurers where debuffed and had to fight to keep themselves sane.
It was this dungeon Eden found himself in front of as he admired the spatial crack embedded in the wall. Soldiers guarding it.
[" Well that was quite the experience wasn't it?" ]. Elyon said. His voice echoing in Eden's head with a teasing undertone.
" What are you on about this time... parasite ". Eden replied with his signature cold tone.
[ "Parasite?....nope not falling for that.... You had that receptionist fawning over you...how did it feel...satisfying?"]. Elyon said again. You could almost see the smile on his face.
" Oh a parasite as well as a pervert huh ". He retorted with a sigh.
[ "You know what forget it you unfeeling bastard " . He cursed. Taken a loss yet again. Why are we here again ? "].
" Problematic as well....you really have the 3P's down huh.... Crazy. Eden said amused
.....Anyway have you ever heard of the Nexarii ?".
[ Isn't that the civilization that was wiped out a while back?....What does that have to do with this dungeon?. ]
" Let's brush up on your history a little bit....They were an interstellar race known for their immense battle prowess and Bloodlust until one day they where wiped out. Every single one of them, along with all the planets they conquered.
...Or so you where meant to believe ". Eden said. A knowing glint in his eyes.
[ Wait what?!!....]
[.....I didn't know this...Wait....what does that have to do with this dungeon?.]
" For a a higher being you can be quite slow sometimes . He said with a sigh as he walked towards the portal. Shimmering with brilliant lights. Barbarian's Requiem... Also known as what? ".
' —— '
[ "....No way " ]
" Well.... we're about to find out ". Eden concluded. A smirk gracing his flawless features for a split second. As he disappeared into the dungeon.

The sky hung low and heavy, drowned in the color of old blood. A single moon loomed above the horizon, swollen and crimson, as though it had been dragged through a slaughter and left to watch in silence.
Its light did not shine...it bled, staining the clouds, the air, the very breath drawn into the lungs.
The ground beneath was no longer earth in any honest sense. It had been trampled, soaked, and compacted by war until it resembled a grave rather than a field.
Darkened soil glistened faintly, not wet with rain, but with something thicker...Something that had long since seeped into the land and refused to leave.
Patches of blue-red muck clung to shattered stones, as if the battlefield itself were bruised.
There were no bodies. War had taken them, time had erased them. What remained were the bones.
Skeletons lay half-buried, ribs jutting from the ground like the remnants of broken fences, skulls tilted upward in mute accusation. Some were scattered, as though flung aside in the chaos of the final clash; others rested where they had fallen, fingers still curled around rusted weapons.
Weapons of different shapes and sizes protruded from the earth at crooked angles, their edges eaten away, shields cracked and split, banners reduced to rotten tatters barely distinguishable from the soil itself.
The air was thick—heavy with iron and rot...yet strangely still. No wind stirred the weapons, no insects dared to crawl across the bones. Even sound seemed afraid to exist here, swallowed by the weight of countless deaths.
Every step felt intrusive, as though the land remembered each life it had claimed and resented being disturbed.
A portal and the edge of the battlefield spun to life and a red haired young man stepped onto the plain.
" A bit different than expected.....More alive ". He said casually as he took in the sight before him.
[ "This is alive?....you need therapy Eden" ]. The God Elyon retorted dryly.
" Maybe... Well let's get this over with ".
[ Wait....hold on.... aren't we going to talk about the fact that you just speed blitz a unique dungeon? ]. Elyon said exasperatedly.
" Nope ".

Eden made his way to the middle of the battlefield where a figure floated. Bound in chains. The sheer aura radiating off him was enough to scare lesser men.
But Eden was anything but lesser. He continued walking till he was a few meters away from the being then he spoke.
" Haaa...It's about time you opened those eyes don't you think.... Barbarian?."
