"That method is far too outdated. I have new ideas, heh. Now tell me, why did you come looking for me? I don't believe you're so bored that you'd seek me out just for fishing and small talk." Orochimaru turned his gaze toward Tonbo.
Tonbo became very serious. "Cough, of course there's a reason—a very important matter."
"Oh? What could possibly be important right now?" Orochimaru felt he was being very strange. He had always thought Tonbo was full of mysteries, and that feeling hadn't changed. "The thing is... I have a son... he needs a good teacher. I want him to study under you for a while," Tonbo said, looking slightly embarrassed.

Keigo Tobitake was still tinkering with a newly bought machine. "I can learn on my own without you teaching me. Why do I need a teacher?"

Lately, his dad's books had been selling like hotcakes, making a lot of money. He could buy plenty of resources that they used to save on, and he was having a blast. He wasn't against having a teacher, but he didn't have high hopes either. In the whole village, his dad was the strongest—who else could possibly teach him? Even a "normal" teacher would just teach the simple stuff from the Ninja Academy.
"One of the Legendary Sannin, Orochimaru, will be your teacher. Surprised? He is the person with the deepest understanding of Chakra research in the entire Shinobi world. He'll definitely help you progress quickly. Try to drain all his knowledge," Tonbo laughed.
He had to admit, Orochimaru knew a massive amount of things and researched them deeply.
"The person with the deepest research? Dad, didn't you say that was you?" Keigo asked.
Tonbo replied, "Haha, we each have our strengths, each have our strengths. Alright, that's it for today. Keep studying; I'm going to check if there are any issues with the lab equipment."
Poof! He then vanished on the spot.
"What exactly is Dad doing? Didn't he say he was retiring? Why is he still so busy?" Keigo was very smart, but even he couldn't figure it out.
