Bonus chapter!!! Enjoy ;) ....
Gojo Satoru almost choked on his cake: "How on earth did you come up with that?! I literally just met her today for the very first time, okay?"
Not to mention he hadn't shown much enthusiasm toward Miyano Akemi in front of Gin at all. The only reason he paid any attention to her was simply because of her unique role in the story, along with the impression value she could bring him.
"Who knows if you've met in private," Gin said, casually rolling his pasta with a fork. "Otherwise, why would you care so much about her younger sister... Oh, don't tell me the one you actually have an eye for is Sherry?"
"Hey hey, this is getting crazier and crazier!"
Gojo Satoru popped right up from his chair, making a huge cross with his hands over his chest, fiercely defending his innocence: "Please, stop casually saying stuff that'll send me straight to hell! Do I really look like that kind of creep?!"
If he ever ran into a scumbag who targeted minors, he'd be the very first person to send them to meet God.
Gin obviously knew Gojo Satoru didn't have any strange habits like that, and his interest in Sherry was mostly driven by some kind of "teacher-student bond." Saying all this was purely to watch the guy jump.
Still, relying on the instinct he'd honed over years of walking on a razor's edge, he always felt Gojo Satoru's attention toward those two sisters went a bit beyond the usual scope.
It made him wonder if this perpetually single guy had finally had an awakening of sorts.
"If you're interested in Miyano Akemi, there's no harm in saying so straight out," Gin flicked his wine glass lightly, the amber liquid swirling into delicate ripples against the glass, mirroring his casual look. "She wouldn't dare turn you down."
Calling that a pursuit was a stretch—it sounded a lot more like a threat, didn't it?!
Gojo Satoru held his forehead with a sigh: "I told you, I don't mean it like that at all... Also, what is up with your view on romance? If you ever run into someone you actually like in the future, don't tell me you're really gonna point a gun at their head and say 'date me or I'll kill you'?"
"So what if I do?" Gin let out a cold snort. "At least it's efficient."
"...Sir, pursuing a girl like that is gonna get you hauled off by police officers, you know?"
Gin shot him a look like he was staring at a total idiot: "Aren't we committing crimes every single day?"
Gojo Satoru: "..."
That made way too much sense, leaving him completely at a loss for words.
A sudden lightbulb went off in his head, and he gave Gin a super serious pat on the shoulder: "Tell you what, Gin-chan. If the day ever comes when your cold heart finally blooms, you better give me a heads-up in advance!"
"??"
"I need to hurry and buy the maximum payout accidental life insurance for the brave warrior willing to face death head-on... Ow ow ow!"
Before he could even finish his sentence, a flash of silver whipped through the air, and the spoon in Gin's hand tapped with pinpoint precision right onto the back of Gojo Satoru's hand.
The white-haired youth instantly went full drama queen, clutching his hand and wailing: "Gin-chan, you're way too harsh! What if my hand broke?"
"It's not like you couldn't dodge it."
The silver-haired man pulled his spoon back, his tone flat.
Rubbing the back of his completely uninjured hand, Gojo Satoru suddenly narrowed his eyes, sizing up Gin with a thoughtful look: "Come to think of it, something is super off here... Since when did you care so much about the love life of Organization members? Don't tell me hanging around Vodka for too long made you gossip-hungry too~ It feels so out of character!"
Vodka, who was quietly shoveling food while doing his absolute best to blend into the background: "..." Lord Caesar, please have mercy.
Gin had no idea what "out of character" actually meant, but judging from Gojo Satoru's face and context, it definitely wasn't anything nice.
"Talking about these things is completely normal, nothing to be shocked about."
Gin spoke as if stating a mundane fact: "Humans always catch so-called feelings of love, pouring out their genuine hearts for a specific person, even ruining their fortunes or throwing away their lives for it... That's precisely where their stupidity lies."
He raised his bitter black coffee to take a sip, his dark green eyes looking extra deep over the rim of the cup: "Getting driven by emotions, being indecisive, ruining an entire operation over a momentary impulse. I've seen far too much of it over the years."
There was no telling whether his tone carried mockery or total indifference; it sounded more like he hadn't attached any emotion to it at all.
"That's why, for people like us, extra feelings are nothing but flaws, mere dead weight." Gin lifted his eyes to look at Gojo Satoru, his gaze as sharp as a blade: "And women... are forever the most troublesome wildcard."
He set his coffee cup down, the glass bottom hitting the tabletop with a crisp clink.
"This is my advice. As for whether you take it to heart or not, that's up to you."
"...Clearly trying to show care, yet insisting on sounding so cold. That really is your style through and through."
Gojo Satoru shrugged: "Well, even though I'm pretty curious about what romance is actually like, it's a pity I haven't gotten the chance for it yet."
Hearing this, Gin realized he'd overthought things as well.
Then again, with Caesar's heartless and careless nature, how could he possibly give his true heart to anyone?
Even though he genuinely felt this guy treated the Miyano sisters a bit differently, he was too lazy to dig any deeper into it.
"Before worrying about my love life, Gin-chan better worry about yourself first. Keeping a stiff face all day long, watch out or you'll get wrinkles before you even hit thirty."
Before Gin could shoot back a reply, Gojo Satoru smoothly shifted the topic just in time: "Talking about serious business, what have you been busy with lately?"
At the mention of this, the air pressure around Gin visibly dropped a few notches.
His voice turned deep, carrying intent to kill he didn't bother hiding: "These past few months, there are always guys who don't know any better poking their heads around the Organization's key strongholds. Though they're all small fry not worth mentioning, having them buzz around like flies without end gets on my nerve."
"So, to raise the work efficiency at the Tokyo headquarters, the Boss seems to want to add a few more capable codenamed members... Hands are a bit tied right now. As long as someone's got solid skills, climbing up won't be hard."
Shifting his gaze to Gojo Satoru, Gin's eyes held a bit more businesslike evaluation: "If you've got suitable candidates on your end, you can refer them too."
Right after, he added in a cold voice: "Of course, their background must be completely clean—I don't wanna see rats sent by other organizations."
Hearing that, Gojo Satoru's mind turned, and he replied with a smile: "If I really run into someone suitable, I'll naturally vet them thoroughly."
"Oh right, one more thing." Gin put down his napkin, adding: "Last time when trading drugs with a certain company, one step was supposed to be handled by the Organization, but an information broker named 'Tsuki' intercepted it halfway through."
"That man popped up out of nowhere recently too. Nobody knows his origin, yet he's built up a bit of fame in a short time... Probably has other helpers behind him. I plan to drop by and meet him in a few days."
"Either we collaborate, or he disappears."
