Leaving the room and stumped Sonia behind, Kelvin stormed into his study and slammed the door shut.
The force of it reverberated through the entire building, the sound sharp enough to make even the guards outside stiffen.
The guards standing at Sonia's door exchanged glances before shaking their heads knowingly.
It seemed the boss was erupting in anger again.
Kelvin Thorne had always been known for his composure and unshakable self-control.
No matter the situation, he remained steady and unaffected.
To put it mildly, he was an emotionally unavailable man. There were only a handful of expressions anyone had ever seen on his face.
Cold.
Distant.
Expressionless.
And on the rare occasion that he was angry, a cruel smirk would play on his lips, or his eyes would narrow ever so slightly, subtle, controlled and restrained.
And whatever emotion he felt was never pronounced or better say...no one understands.
But for the past few days, that control had begun to crack.
