Ren held the pendent in his hand and momentarily blacked out but came back to senses right after which goes unnoticed by Mellow.
Ren who was feeling very uneasy distress put the pendent back to the paper and backed out a little form there, while Mellow picked it but nothing seemed weird with her.
She carefully investigated the pendent and was admiring it near illusionary golden shine while she kept investigating it Ren went to the washroom to wash his face as he was feeling uneasy, after washing his face up he was feeling better.
The night passed with such events and moved on to the next day but Ren had some weird dream of some icy oceanic place with some kind of rift like gate, but he seemed to forget it the next morning.
Fe days go by and one day Mellow who was working as a junior intern Geo-Oceanic researcher at the Japanese Ocean Research. She talked about geological disturbances at the North pole from a while being monitored, and that she is making an research report on it and submit it in hopes to get some recognition and maybe get a permanent job there.
Ren who didn't seem to care much but when he saw the place where those disturbances where, he immediately locked his eyes as that place looked exactly like the place he saw in his dreams for the past few days and always seemed to forget it after waking up.
Ren was truly invested in it. He had the feeling that he had to find out what connection he has to get dreams of the same place which he never saw before.
Ren makes up his mind that he who was pretty much clueless of what to do in the future decided to walk on his sisters path and become a Geo oceanic researcher so he can find out about it.
Mellow was pretty surprised to see Ren out of all people to show interest in working hard for a job.
And then it begins Ren's journey to find about his mysterious dreams... though becoming a researcher won't be easy but he sure is determined.
~ Three years go by~
Ren who is currently 21 did actually land an internship at the Japanese Oceanic Research though he used a lot help from his sister who was now an permanent researched there.
They both live in Tokyo city now and haven't been to their old house in a long while.
Ren still gets those dreams and due to that day by day his curiosity to know about that place gets more and more intense.
He gets home from the local store and sat on the sofa and turned the tv on.
He usually doesn't watch much news but here checks out reports of ocean researches and he does the same he puts up news.
The news was talking about the violent geological disturbances at the north pole in the same place as Ren's dreams and also the government announcing a research team to go there and look out for it. Which caught Ren's attention as he decided to work his hardest to qualify to go on this research, as he knew they would take few interns at least.
In the evening after Mellow returned he begged her to help go on the research as Mellow who also happened to be involved in it as a researcher but she would remain at the station monitoring it mostly.
