BOOM!
The ground exploded, dust scattering wildly.
Shizune raised her hand to shield her face, worried about Kitagawa.
Once the dust settled, both Tsunade and Kitagawa stood unharmed, making her quietly sigh in relief. "Tsunade-sama is too reckless..."
Kitagawa looked at the massive crater and his eye twitched slightly.
"Hurry up and use your full power, or you'll die pathetically!"
Tsunade said impatiently.
This speed is insulting.
Does he think she wasted the last half-year not training?
"Since Tsunade-sama insists..."
Kitagawa undid his chunin vest, throwing it aside to reveal another black vest underneath.
Tsunade's eyes narrowed. Shizune looked confused. "Why does Teacher Kitagawa have another vest underneath?"
Kitagawa removed the black vest and threw it aside.
BOOM!
Dust erupted. Shizune's eyes went wide. "This... this is weighted clothing?!"
Tsunade's brow shot up in surprise.
Kitagawa then removed his leg guards, slamming them to the ground with a heavy sound.
Shizune instinctively swallowed. "Teacher Kitagawa, how much weight are you carrying?"
Kitagawa smiled slightly. "Not much—800 pounds!"
Shizune froze.
Tsunade's brow twitched slightly.
"Alright, I'm about to use my full power!"
Kitagawa announced.
Tsunade snorted lightly. "Then hurry up!"
Kitagawa's form vanished from his spot. Shizune tried to track him but completely lost him. Then she heard a sonic boom and looked toward the sound, but still couldn't catch him.
Speed exceeding sonic velocity.
By the time Shizune heard the boom, Kitagawa was already gone.
Moreover, she heard only one sonic boom before she could only follow the dust clouds. Still, she couldn't keep up—she didn't even see afterimages.
Each time her eyes caught up, she only saw dust clouds.
These clouds quickly swirled around Tsunade in a circle.
Tsunade stood in place, her eyes moving, her ears twitching slightly.
Suddenly, she looked up. "Above!"
Indeed, Kitagawa suddenly leaped from the ground into the air.
BOOM!
Tsunade's power exploded, her form vanishing from the ground, bursting into the sky.
Thud, thud, thud!
Kitagawa stepped on empty air, using Moon Walk mid-air to forcibly change direction, making successive turns in the sky before suddenly appearing behind Tsunade.
"I've learned that technique too!"
Tsunade roared, the air beneath her feet exploding as her form pulled away in afterimages, vanishing from Kitagawa's sight.
"Now this is interesting~"
Kitagawa laughed lightly and gave chase.
On the ground, Shizune looked up with her mouth agape, watching the two chase each other through the sky in amazement.
"That's Teacher Kitagawa's movement technique... it's... too incredible!"
Shizune naturally knew Moon Walk existed—she'd observed Tsunade and Kitagawa train before.
But the difference between training and these two pursuing each other in the air was like night and day.
This is far more breathtaking!
"This guy, his speed is clearly a notch slower than mine, but every time he avoids my attacks. It's like he can predict my moves."
Tsunade chased Kitagawa through the air, frowning.
With her superior chakra control and burst ability, she wielded Shave and Moon Walk faster than Kitagawa, the original developer—especially evident in the air.
In the sky, both their speeds had dropped slightly, not yet breaking the sound barrier. This was why Shizune could barely keep up.
Yet despite Tsunade's greater speed, Kitagawa possessed far superior reaction ability.
With his exceptional nerve reaction capability, he held his own against Tsunade.
But if this continued, Kitagawa would definitely lose today.
In a prolonged battle, he was clear—he couldn't outmatch her.
His chakra reserves had improved significantly over the year, but still couldn't compare to Tsunade, the "healer," even without her practicing the Yin Seal.
"As expected of Tsunade!"
Kitagawa sighed internally.
So to win, I need another factor!
After several more exchanges of positional jockeying, Kitagawa suddenly flashed to Tsunade's front.
As their eyes met, Kitagawa's eyes transformed—his black pupils became crimson red, two tomoe spinning.
"Sharingan!"
Tsunade's mind shook, her body instantly freezing. "No good, genjutsu!"
Though Tsunade broke free from the two-tomoe genjutsu in an instant through sheer force, Kitagawa's reaction was incredibly fast. The moment she escaped, with a sharp tear, he ripped a piece of her clothing and landed smoothly.
Tsunade also landed, her eyes fixed on Kitagawa's Sharingan in disbelief.
"Tsunade-sama lost!"
Shizune hesitated, then sensing something off about the atmosphere, she rushed forward. Upon seeing Kitagawa's Sharingan, she froze. "This is... Sharingan?"
"Teacher Kitagawa, you... are you from the Uchiha clan?"
Shizune's voice broke the silence.
Kitagawa deactivated his Sharingan, smiling slightly. "I wouldn't think so. My parents weren't from the Uchiha clan. As for ancestors, I wouldn't know."
"I awakened these eyes after learning my parents died in war."
This was a lie, yet also not a lie.
Tsunade frowned listening. "So you awakened these eyes yourself?"
Kitagawa laughed helplessly, spreading his hands. "Does Tsunade-sama think I transplanted some Uchiha's eyes?"
Tsunade pouted.
She'd actually wondered that, but thinking carefully, Kitagawa lacked the ability.
Impossible before becoming a teacher. Impossible after becoming a teacher too.
Shizune said, "So Teacher Kitagawa, you must have Uchiha bloodline from your ancestors, right?"
Kitagawa shrugged. "Maybe. At that time, it would've been the Warring States period."
"Actually, I've wanted to ask Tsunade-sama for a favor."
Tsunade looked confused, then understood. "DNA test?"
Kitagawa nodded. "This is the first time I've used my Sharingan since awakening. Originally, I didn't plan to, but Tsunade-sama was too strong."
Tsunade's lips curved, a smile flashing briefly.
Kitagawa noticed and continued, "I won't use it now, but definitely will eventually. So it'll be exposed sooner or later. To avoid misunderstandings, getting a DNA test is clearly best."
"If the Sharingan was transplanted, it'd be easily detected."
Tsunade nodded hearing this. "Indeed."
"Transplanted Sharingan won't change your DNA."
Shizune spoke up. "I believe Teacher Kitagawa!"
"Thanks~"
Kitagawa laughed lightly and casually ruffled Shizune's hair.
Tsunade said, "DNA tests are simple—any hospital staff can do it. No need to trouble me."
Kitagawa immediately turned serious. "But I trust Tsunade-sama!"
Tsunade froze hearing this, her heart inexplicably stirring.
