Tonight I carried Marie to her room and tucked her into bed.
Marie: "Daddy, can you tell me that one story tonight?"
Leon: "Sure. Which one? The one about the troll and the princess?"
Marie: "No. The one about how you died."

I stopped.
My daughter was smiling.
Her expression was unsettling.

then from behind me i hear—

Her neck stretched across the room, bones cracking as it elongated unnaturally.

Leon: "What the fuck—"
my head was racing and my chest felt like it was going to burst.
Marie: "Daddy do you see it?"
Marie was staring into my soul with her pitch black eyes

Leon: " see what my dear?"

monsters dressed as humans playing house with me?
Khalissa started to come toward me

A bug crawled out Marie's hollow socket

That's when a sharp pain exploded from my chest.
The skin gradually expanding and bludging outwards
I screamed in pain as my chest tore open
where my heart and lungs once were was red stained white fur glistened in the light .
A rabbit's head emerged from my chest, It's red eyes staring back into mine.
