The man suddenly withdraws and sits on the floor while holding his blade in hand.nico stared down at him for a while until he gestured him to sit
"You might not know but I'm an assassin"
"Huh..."
Nico wanted to hide his shock but a memory of the poisoned blade kept flashing through his head
"You should be able to remember it... the memory of to you getting injured with the blade"
"Ah"
Nico stands to his feet and turns to go but the man stops him
"Don't you want to know who did it to you and sky?"
Nico stops in his tracks but doesn't turn around
"It's a group called indigo..."
Nico turned when he heard it. A memory kicked in at that moment and despite being feint,he could remember bad things about it. Since coming to this world, it was the first time Nicodemus's memory responded to a speech given
"Indigo you say... I'll remember that"
"Well,it isn't for free you know"

The man stands up and covers Nico's mouth while dragging him behind a rock.nico hadn't realized but people were coming from behind them which made the man to hide himself and Nico.
When the men got to the whole were the man dug, they entered inside to find him. When he made sure that the timing was right,he released Nico and told him to run
"What about what you needed"
"We'll meet another time..."
Nico turned and ran, while the man walked back to the cave. When Nico got to the entrance, Davi was preparing to jump down to find him
"Hey"
"Nico... where'd you go"
Lily stood behind Davi in silence while he helped Nico up the hole
"Hey there Lily... sorry for making you guys worry,I wanted to go some investigation on the assassins first"
Lily smiled slightly just so that none of them would notice. While they talked, Davi suddenly turned his attention to the door and stood in front of them. Just then, Andrew Diaz walks in through the door but was blocked by Davi
"Move willdragon..."
"Nope... won't do"
Lily who had been standing beside Nico was suddenly grabbing his shirt with shaky hands while trying to hide her fear
"Ah...let them be Claire"
"Sir..."
Nico turned to see Claire pointing a blade at his neck but what was even more shocking was the fact that white was holding a dagger to her neck without being noticed even by Andrew
"Oh...I guess some of you are quite skilled"
Andrew Diaz turned and left while Claire followed after him
"I'm sorry sir....I was complacent"
"It was expected,I couldn't even detect his presence"
Andrew Diaz smiles while walking away
"Tomorrow's test will be interesting"

When the coast was clear, Davi walked out without glancing at white for a second time. Lily had mustered courage and followed after him leaving them behind
Nico met up with sky later on their way to the dorms but she didn't seem to be in a good mood so he let her be. After getting to his room,a system notification popped up
"Oh...I was just about to ask"

After summoning the book,he Flipped through, reading whatever was in there while trying to gain knowledge.
"Oh, right...I need to know about my full potential"
The book reacts signifying that an answer would be given

Nico laid on his bed thinking before a thought came to mind
"The system said something about me reaching my cap... guess I'll ask about that"

***The next day***
Crowd gathered at the entrance of the school,waiting for the teachers to arrive. Davi and Lily were already at the location waiting for Nico who was running late. When he arrived,they began their strategic meeting.
"Remember, wherever we're transported to, the first thing is to find Lily. The time for the test is three days so we have to get rid of Andrew Diaz first"
Nico posed a question
"How do we do that?"
"Honestly, there's no way we'll fight Andrew Diaz without injury. I alone can't defeat him in a straight up fight and we can't risk injury while fighting him. It would be hard to do the actual test"
"So..."
"He has one weakness... promises. He never breaks his promises even with his life. If we can make him..."
"Leave that to me..."
They turned to Nico who suggested something unusual for the first time
"Why?"
"It would be easier to finish the test this way. While I delay him into making me a promise, you'll clear our test so either way it's a win. So trust me on this"

"Okay... But be careful"
The supervisors arrived and the test would begin shortly. As Nico made his way to the line, Lily stopped him with a question
"Why are you going so far for me?"
"Huh...oh, it's simple. Who would reject a request from a beautiful lady. I'll find a way so sit back and— huh...why are you crying?"
Lily didn't realize, but tears flowed out of her eyes without her control. The more she tried to clean them the more they increased. Instinctively, Nico patted her on the head with a smile on his face.
"I'll be back..."
