Chapter 4 - Don't Get Cought

"Ah, No—no—Noah! What a tremendous coincidence!" Quirrell had said as politely as possible, his stammering seriously irritating Noah.

Noah, not wanting to engage with this professor for very long, bowed politely, greeted him, and said, "If you've come to feed Fluffy, I must remind you that the task of feeding him has been assigned to me, Professor. He's already been fed."

Quirrell seemed surprised by these words and said, "Oh! I fo—forget about it, seems. Have a good evening," and then prepared to leave.

When Noah looked after Quirrell, who had already started to leave, his body trembled again. It was a familiar yet utterly foreign sensation enveloping his entire body. It was truly repulsive and utterly dreadful.

He couldn't understand why Quirrell had come here; after all, Dumbledore had already assigned this task to Noah, a metamorphmagus, and a professor like Quirrell couldn't have forgotten it.

Especially since he was one of the main people protecting what Fluffy was trying to protect.

After making sure the professor had left the area, the young man also left the area and headed for his own room.

When he reached his room, no matter what he did, he couldn't get a wink of sleep, so he climbed out of the tower window and sat down on a flat area on the tower roof. He watched the stars in the sky in the cold air until dawn.

His days were passing in the same way, but eventually, the time would come when he would have to make a move... Frankly, the only thing he had ever wanted from life was revenge, and that desire had not changed, but as Dumbledore had thought, when love itself entered the picture, everything began to change for Noah.

He couldn't make such reckless and foolish moves anymore. After all, his family was involved. Even though he hadn't taken the Weasley surname, even though he no longer used his old surname, he was still a Weasley.

At least, that's how he felt...

When the next day came, or rather, when the sun finally began to appear in the sky, Noah went back to his room and spent some time trying to shake off the cold from his body.

While doing so, he studied the properties of a few spells and mostly worked on alchemy, and when the clock struck nine in the morning, he changed his clothes and left his room.

There was much to do today.

First, he had to go to Diagon Alley and stock up on a few alchemy supplies he no longer had, withdraw the money he wanted to give Ronald as a Christmas present from Gringotts Bank, and then, trying not to upset Ron, question him about last night's situation.

For this reason, he went straight to Professor Dumbledore's office and used the Floo Network there to get to Diagon Alley.

After entering Diagon Alley, he quickly began stocking up on alchemy supplies and stuffed them into another bag he had brought with him, which had been enlarged, filling it to the brim.

Afterwards, he withdrew a substantial amount of money from Gringotts Bank.

Given that he would need a large sum of money in the future, and because he helped many students and even distributed gifts to the students of Hogwarts' four houses on special occasions, he spent a considerable amount of money every year.

There were also various gifts he would buy for members of the Weasley family. Noah felt indebted to them, so he liked to spoil them a little... how should one put it... Although Molly and Arthur didn't particularly like this, they didn't refuse the gifts because of Noah's good intentions.

At least, he had been doing so for the past two years.

That was precisely why he had withdrawn a sum of 15,000 Galleons from his bank account.

Within the inheritance that had automatically passed to him from his family, which had existed for tens of thousands of years, the 15,000 Galleons Noah had withdrawn was literally pocket change.

So there was no reason for him not to be generous.

After a few more short purchases, he finally returned to Hogwarts at noon and went to visit Hagrid to check on the plants, only to find the trio he had seen yesterday swarming around Hagrid.

He approached them and heard Hagrid say, "The Stone... the Philosopher's Stone."

Upon hearing these words, Noah rushed forward to stop Hagrid, but it was too late; he heard Hagrid mention Nicolas Flamel's name.

Nevertheless, Noah finally managed to reach Hagrid and the trio.

"I shouldn't have said that," said Hagrid, his gaze locking with Noah's reddened eyes for a few seconds.

Noah finally turned to Ron and said, "Right, yesterday...explain Ronald."

Ron took a step back as if he understood what he was talking about, but was immediately stopped by Harry.

However, Ron took another step forward and then said, "The stairs, it's all their fault, they changed suddenly, we had no choice but to go into that corridor and look for a way out. I swear!"

At Ronald's words, Noah paused for a few seconds, then looked at Harry and the girl next to him, seeing that both of them approved of these words with their eyes.

However, Noah put his hand to his forehead and uttered these words wearily:

"Look, Ron. I promised our mother that I would keep an eye on you. If it were Fred or maybe George, she wouldn't want me to do something like this. After all, it doesn't matter; both of them are always breaking the rules, and I literally can't change that. But you, I HAVE to keep an eye on you."

When Noah said this, Ron bowed his head as if genuinely upset; it would be fair to say he felt a little embarrassed.

After all, Ron was perhaps the second closest person to Noah in the family. Ginny, or by her real name Ginerva, and Ron were constantly following Noah around.

So Ron felt as if he had disappointed someone he truly loved.

Noah must have noticed this, because he took a deep breath and said, in a much gentler tone this time:

"I know you will break some rules. Trust me, I saw Fred and George do worse than you could ever imagine. Even Charlie, who was very tempted to follow the rules, did the same."

As he said this, he stroked Ron's head and then added with a smile, "At least make sure you don't get caught like you did last night, alright?"

Ron said nothing when he heard these words and just nodded his head.

Meanwhile, Noah's eyes turned to the girl next to Ron and Harry, and the young man introduced himself:

"Pleased to meet you, I'm Noah, Ronald's older brother, so to speak."

When Noah introduced himself, the young girl froze for a few seconds and, looking embarrassed, extended her hand and said, "Hermione Granger, it is a pleasure to meet you, sir."

Noah didn't know what to say. Ron was holding back from laughing out loud, while Harry turned his head to the right to avoid laughing.

"It is a pleasure for me too, little lady," Noah said, shaking Hermione's hand, and finally managed to send this troublesome trio back to school.

Then the young man turned to the huge figure right next to him, Hagrid.

"Let's talk about the plants before I get mad at you, dear Hagrid."
