I woke up at 6:00 and got ready for school. I packed my water, my pocket knife, and my school project. I drove to school and went about my day like normal, enduring through the boring, monotonous classes and just trying to tough it out till lunch. Just as I was getting ready to go to my sports practice, the area around me turned dark.
A search bar appeared and a voice rang out in my head. "The earth is set for extinction. This can only be stopped if the final boss is killed. You can use the search bar to find a suitable class." I looked around for anything useful and then I had a thought in my mind. Not to boast but I am really, really good at baseball. I haven't lost a single game since I was 10. I used the search bar to find anything related to baseball, and then I found it. "Baseball Player" the class said. I saw that there was 5 openings for this class, I thought about it when the openings suddenly dwindled, leaving only 2 slots left. I chose it without hesitation and A status window appeared before my eyes.

This window surprised me I must admit, but then the light returned and everybody looked panicked. All of a sudden, a hoarde of grotesque creatures appeared.They appeared to be like those goblins from games, a staring mob of sorts. I took my sports gear and I ran. I stopped when I heard a "Thud" come from behind me. The goblins tried to go into the school but an invisible barrier stopped them.
I still ran to my baseball room since it was nearby and when I got there, I saw many of my teammates there. I took some baseballs from the room as my teammate spoke."What on earth just happened?" Kaden said fearfully. "I dont really kno-" I was saying when the voice echoed into our heads again. "Go to your gymnasium. Anyone who isnt there in 30 seconds will die." We all ran straight for the gym. When we got there, it was chaos.
But after we entered, I noticed that the gym seemed to be many times larger than it was originally. The gym coouldn't normally fit everybody after all. We tried to meet up with the rest of the team when we all suddenly got teleported to a random spot in the gym. Everybody was evenly spaced out and then the voice spoke, "Find a partner of the opposite sex. This is to allow more even pairs." The voice said. "You have 15 seconds to decide." It continued.
Hearing this, I tried to look for an athletic girl, because I dont know what we have to do so if my partner can pull their weight, that's better for me. I found one of my sisters friends and we teamed up. A ray of light glowed and we were put in a barrier of sorts. After the time went off, many people still didn't have a partner and they just vanished.
"People who couldn't obey simple rules deserve to die. Its okay though don't be worried. They get a chance to come back, its just really difficult." The voice said gleefully. "Alright, it time for some fun! Everybody, you and your partner have to choose! Kill eachother in a 1 vs 1, or kill another pair in a 2 v 2! Isn't that so fun!" The voice said maniacally. "You have 20 minutes to do either option! Good luck!" The voice said.
I asked my partner for her name, and she told me. "So then Leah, are we fighting to the death or are we teaming up?" I said seriously while taking a baseball and unsheathing my knife. "Umm, l-lets team up." Leah replied anxiously. I could probably just killed her and survive anyways, but she is my sister's fried so thats kinda messed up. "Okay, then click the 2v2 option." I said.
We both clicked it and then we got teleported into a zone with two other people from our school. "Its either us or them." I told Leah. "Take this." I said as I handed her the pocket knife. I looked at my status one more time before the match started, and I learned that Lethal Shot increases my throwing speed by 3 times. "Thats enough to kill someone." I thought. "Okay, start in 3..2..1..go!" The voice said. We then started the fight. I yelled out "Lethal Shot!"
And when I threw the ball, one of our enemies' hands contorted. I shot them in the hand so hard the bones shattered. "This is amazing! I thought. Then I realized that they had skill too. Their ally yelled "Heal!" And their hand healed itself. I saw my teammate was getting cornered, so readied my arm and fired with the skill again. "Lethal Shot!" I yelled as it fired. I hit the person with the healing skill in the head, and it flattened. I started to panic, since I had just killed someone. I was beginning to lose it when all of a sudden a calm washed over me. I remembered about my other skill, Foolish Bravery, and I realized that it helped me stay sane.
I saw Leah was struggling, and then It happened. The enemy snapped her neck and she died. I got another baseball, and with the Foolish Bravery skill keeping me calm, and I aimed and fired. I hit them in the pelvic area, and they let out a gut wrenching cry. I walked over to them and killed them. As I was calming myself, a light flashed over me. "Experience Points" flashed on window and it said I leveled up.
I heard a noise behind me, and the unthinkable happened. Leah stood up and her neck snapped back into place.
