Chapter 1 - The start, crown prince's birthday party

Hae-young had been running from her karate studio. A flashing billboard nearby, Hae-young wins in the Karate Tournament, NUMBER ONE! While crossing the road's pedestrian crossing, she glanced at her phone and walked ahead. The traffic light turned red. She tilted her head, and BAM! Blinking, she murmured, "Where am I?" and yawned. She headed to the full-length standing mirror, and her jaw dropped. She saw long, dark navy-blue hair and light blue eyes like glimmering waves. With a loud thump, she fell to the ground. She yelled, "Where the hell am I?"

She walked out the door and roamed around the hallway. She kept walking until she encountered a servant. She asked the servant, "What is this place?" The servant, looking confused, answered, "The Duke's Mansion obviously." She thought, "Hold up, if I have a room at the Duke's Mansion, this means I'm the Duke's daughter!" She then mused, "Well, I have a peaceful life to enjoy for now...."

In my free time, back when I was a human, I loved reading horror books, as well as fantasy romance books, although I had no interest in love myself. Other than that, I have always dedicated my life to being known as a Karate champion! As soon as I realised I had reincarnated into one of my favourite romance books, called "Whispers In The Rain". It was a story about the crown prince and his love life with a Baron's daughter. I can't quite remember her name, but she has blonde hair exactly like the crown prince. One thing I always thought was, why are they always blonde-haired main couples, although it wasn't a huge thing, of course. Oh my, while thinking about all this, the character I got reincarnated as is the duke's youngest daughter. I believe she was only mentioned like that one time in the book, was her DEATH, dun dun... I yelled, "I'm so COOKED." But it wasn't until much later, near when the main couple gets married. However, I freaking forgot why; all I know is that she'd get kidnapped a lot. I guess that's something.

Oh well, while daydreaming about her current happy life in the hallway, she bumped into a white-haired male. She blinked, and he asked, "All good?" She continued to walk by. A servant ran up behind her and tapped her shoulder. She looked back, and the servant informed her that the Duke wanted to speak with her. She politely asked if the servant could lead the way.

Knock, knock, the Duke opened the door. She took a seat on the couch. The Duke said, "How are you, Ember?" She replied, "I'm fine, how about you?" He responded, "I'm good too!" The Duke then continued, saying that she was invited to the First Prince's (Crown prince) birthday party (the ball) and would be going with her older brother, named Gale. He mentioned that the oldest sibling in the family, her older sister Luna, would not be able to attend due to certain personal business.

Ember responded, "Sure". Shortly after that, she left the room. While she was peacefully munching on plates of desserts, fruits, and delicious treats. A whole gallon of clothes entered the room with a fancy fashion designer. They were saying it was for the ball tomorrow. None of the options caught her eye. Until this pretty midnight blue gown, with stars embroidered. She shouted, "This one for sure." It was paired with a pearl necklace, sparkly silver heels, and more! When everything was final, she lay on her bed, prepared to go to sleep. The morning shines, and she wakes up. The servants help her get ready for the day, as the servant combs through her hair. Shortly after that, she decided to take a walk outside, staring with sparkles in her eyes. The flowers blooming were astonishing. Not long after, everyone sat in the dining hall for breakfast. She spotted the white haired male, realising that it was her older brother, she thinks, "I'm so DUMB, how could I not tell it was this body's sibling?". Another person was sitting with us, and she almost looked identical to me. I figured it was the oldest daughter of the family. No one talked, a silent and awkward atmosphere. I thought, "forget about that, the food is DELISH". Everyone leaves the dining hall, one by one. I still had roughly one hour before I had to begin dressing up. During my extra time, I read some interesting horror, dark fantasy books called "The gospel of the black star". She sat at her desk, completing the entire book. She said omg, that was so freaking good. Before she knew it, she was all dressed up for the ball. Gale lends her a hand while she gets up the carriage. She sits on the right side, and he sits on the other side. It was quiet, but I found it quite comforting, staring at the window, looking at the birds beautifully chirping. Once again, I get down the carriage, with the help of Gale's hand, and I say "thank you". We cross arms, walking towards the entrance. I thought "dayum, it was CROWDED". I wander off, going here and there, spotting delicious food. Everything went silent, and the royal family was going down the huge entrance stairs. After the interactions, the king and the queen sit on thrones. The rest of the royal family is chatting with the guests. Honestly, I found it boring, it was unnecessary. I was getting so bored, since Ember wasn't close to anybody; she didn't have a bad reputation, but she didn't stand out. I'm introverted myself, so I'm not bothered to interact with anybody. I sit on a luxury red couch with golden brims. I'm not sure why, but the second prince decides to sit next to me. He kept smiling towards me. I lean backwards, my arms fall across the cushions. I didn't glance in his direction. I remained silent since I had nothing to say. A servant approaches and hands a glass of fancy red wine. I was going to deny it, but before I thought about what was going to be the worst of it. I jug the whole glass of wine. My cheeks were bright red. I look to my right. I fell into the lap of the second prince, wrapping my hands around his waist. The second prince, bulging his eyes, was like what the... The wind flowed by, and he carried her effortlessly, one arm cradling her legs, the other pressed lightly against her back. Ember's

head rested against her shoulder. He carried her to the carriage; Ember's head resting on his lap, and she was completely wasted. The second prince chuckles. The moon shines brightly.
