Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 : The ceremony and universal awakening dream

Result Day

The scene shifts to a vast ceremonial hall.

Saino sat quietly on a chair near the front row, his eyes closed. On his left sat Rue, and on his right, Yagami. Behind them, rows upon rows of students filled the hall, their murmurs blending into a restless hum.

Slowly, Saino opened his eyes.

Saino (voice-over):

More than two weeks have passed. During these days, I could only spend two to three hours at a time on the equation. Any longer… and it directly targets that state of mine.

As his voice continued, the scene faded into fragments of the past.

A dimly lit room. Papers scattered everywhere. Walls filled with complex mathematical symbols. Saino sat at the center, surrounded by chaos, writing endlessly—formula after formula.

Saino (voice-over):

In these two weeks, I tried more than a hundred thousand formulas. Still… I couldn't complete it.

The past scenes flashed rapidly—his tired eyes, trembling hands, sleepless nights—revealing the weight of his struggle and legacy.

The scene returned to the present.

Saino (voice-over):

Today is a special day for everyone in our school.

On stage, a teacher stepped forward to begin a formal speech. Students leaned ahead in anticipation.

Saino (voice-over):

Our examinations ended two weeks ago. Everyone wants to know their position. Some will be rewarded for topping their classes… but the most valuable reward goes to the highest scorer of the entire school.

Excited whispers spread across the hall.

Saino (voice-over):

That award will be handed by the Education Minister himself. Our school is among the top universities in the country—so it's a great honor.

He paused.

Saino (voice-over):

I've already received it twice. This time… I don't know who will take it.

The camera shifted to Rue. He wore a faint smile while staring at the stage, but his thoughts told a different story.

Rue (inner monologue):

The day I waited for has finally come, Saino. I want to see your face when you realize I defeated you—in your own best field.

A flashback followed.

The exam hall.

Students panicked as soon as they opened their question papers. Some froze. Some whispered in fear.

Rue glanced at the paper, smirked slightly.

Rue (inner monologue):

So these are the questions… Let's see your broken expression, Saino.

The scene shifted to Saino.

Unlike the others, he calmly examined the paper, his expression unchanged.

Nearby, Harusa pushed his glasses up nervously.

Harusa (thinking):

These questions… they're on a completely different level. Almost university-grade.

Sirisi stared at her paper in shock.

The memory dissolved.

Back in the hall, Rue's lips curled into an eager grin.

Rue (inner monologue):

I'm excited, my friend.

The teacher returned to the microphone.

"Now," he announced, "we will declare the top scorer of the entire school."

The hall erupted.

"This time it's me!"

"No, Saino will win again!"

"Maybe someone new!"

The teacher raised his hand for silence.

"But this year… there is a twist."

The students froze.

"This time, there is not one top scorer—there are two."

Gasps echoed across the hall.

Yagami leaned back casually, unfazed.

Harusa adjusted his glasses again, hope flickering in his eyes.

"For the first time in our school's history," the teacher continued, "two students from the same class have achieved the highest score."

He smiled.

"The top scorers are—Yamahasi Saino and Yorisi Rue."

The hall exploded in cheers.

Rue's expression stiffened.

Rue (inner monologue):

What? I thought I defeated him… This isn't right.

He forced himself to calm down and stood up. Saino rose beside him.

As applause filled the air, Yonsu scoffed bitterly.

"What's so great about this?" he muttered in jealousy.

His friend glared at him. "At least cheer once."

"Never," Yonsu snapped. "Even if I did, I wouldn't."

On stage, the Education Minister personally presented the awards.

First, a large glass banner to Saino.

Then, another to Rue.

Finally, a single grand banner bearing both their names and the year.

As cameras flashed endlessly, Saino held the banner beside Rue.

Saino (inner monologue):

Impressive… This is the first time I'm sharing this award. And it's with one of my closest friends.

Cheers doubled in intensity as the two stood together.

Later That Night

At Saino's house, he sat alone.

"If I say I failed completely," he murmured, "that would be wrong."

He looked at his notes.

"Within these two weeks… I completed half of the formula."

The clock ticked.

Three hours passed.

Finally, Saino leaned back, breathing heavily.

"I've completed it."

A sharp pain surged through the right side of his brain.

He clenched his teeth.

"I should sleep now… I'm happy. One formula is complete. Only four remain."

He lay down.

As his eyes closed—

Darkness followed.Q Dream — Universal Scene

That night, after collapsing onto his bed, Saino drifted into sleep almost instantly.

His eyes slowly closed…

and within moments, his consciousness sank into a deep, unfamiliar state.

Then—

Darkness.

Complete. Endless. Silent.

Saino felt no weight.

His body floated motionless, suspended in nothingness. No sound. No ground. No direction.

Suddenly—

The darkness shifted.

Saino's eyes widened.

It wasn't darkness at all.

It was the universe.

Stars shimmered like scattered dust. Galaxies rotated slowly, their spirals glowing with ancient light. Nebulae stretched like colorful clouds across infinity. Planets moved in perfect harmony, bound by invisible laws.

The scale was terrifying.

Beautiful.

Endless.

A chill ran down Saino's spine.

"Where… am I?" he whispered.

"Is this the universe…?"

"Is this a dream… or something real?"

He raised his hand.

His fingers passed through starlight, sending gentle ripples through space—like touching water made of light.

His body drifted deeper into the cosmic sea.

Everything around him accelerated.

Stars streaked past. Galaxies blurred. The universe felt alive, vast beyond comprehension.

Then—

A sudden violent pull.

A deep tremor shook his consciousness.

His eyes snapped open.

"Hah—! Hah—!"

Saino shot upright in his bed, drenched in sweat, breathing heavily. His heart pounded violently.

"What… was that?"

He pressed a hand to his forehead, trying to calm himself.

Dreams usually faded in seconds.

But this one—

Every detail remained.

Every color.

Every motion.

Every silent drift through the universe.

"Why do I remember everything perfectly…?" he muttered.

"Dreams don't have this level of detail… so why was this different?"

Then—

Something clicked inside his mind.

In that dream…

he wasn't observing.

He was conscious.

He could feel everything.

His expression changed.

"The universe…"

A memory surfaced.

His notebook.

His equations.

"I only applied planet-level theories…"

"I never used universal-level formulas."

That directly means this is not a normal equation is this would be the key by which I can achieve my goal.

His eyes sharpened.

"If that dream came from the equation…"

"Then I'm nowhere near finishing it."

A single realization echoed through his mind.

He stood up instantly, nearly slipping, and rushed to his study table.

The clock read 3:46 AM.

He didn't care.

He opened his notebook, grabbed a pen, and began rewriting the equation from the beginning.

His hand moved fast.

Focused.

Driven.

"From the five formulas" .

"Only four formulas left …" he whispered.

"I need to complete all five first."

"Then apply each one to the same core equation…"

"Five different answers will appear."

Answers tied to the universe itself.

He wasn't sure if his prediction was correct.

But he trusted his instinct.

HIs thoughts

"This equation is not a normal if this apply something beyond universe level concept then I have to broke my seven year old promise that i made to myself"

He stoped..then said with a deep serious tone with his calmness .

" I have to go to that state".

Something changed suddenly it seems like he had lost his own awareness.

Time passed unnoticed.

3 AM…

4 AM…

5 AM...

At the fifth hour, Saino finally stopped writing.

He stared at the page.

the new three formula had formed.

Massive.

Complex.

Beyond anything taught on Earth.

Equations structured around stars, galaxies, gravitational constants, cosmic distances, universal balance.

And it fit.

Perfectly.

His hands trembled.

"So is it is...

But something was different this time the equation that seems to be an unsloved equation even though for a genius too...

Was done within two to three hours..

No smile appeared on his face.

Only calm.

Silent acceptance.

"These formulas aren't meant for Earth…" he murmured.

"They're built for the entire universe."

He leaned back in his chair, overwhelmed.

The dream.

The equation.

The meaning behind it.

Everything was beginning to connect.

"Only one more formulas left…"

His eyes narrowed with determination.

"And then.

Another one more hour Passed

He thought.

" So it end here I completed all the five formulas ".
