Chapter 2 - THE ROOFTOP OBSERVER.

Rain drizzled down the narrow streets of Nursa, turning the cobblestones slick and shiny. Laxyie perched on a rooftop, his eyes still on the alley where he'd saved the old woman.

A shadow moved on the roof across the street—subtle, cautious. Someone was watching him.

Laxyie didn't panic. He had been observed before. Slowly, he leapt from tile to tile, landing silently behind the figure.

"You shouldn't follow strangers in Nursa," he said, voice low, calm.

The figure turned. A hooded man, lean and fast, with daggers strapped to his thighs. "I'm not a stranger," he said. "I know who you are… son of Boron."

Laxyie froze for a split second. His father's name—it always carried weight. But he pushed the thought aside. Survival came first.

Before he could react, the man lunged. Laxyie rolled to the side, barely avoiding the knife, and kicked a loose tile into the attacker's chest. The man stumbled but recovered instantly, circling him like a predator.

Laxyie smiled faintly. "You move fast… but not fast enough."

The fight was brief but precise. Laxyie disarmed him, leaving the attacker sprawled on the rooftop, panting. He didn't kill him—he didn't need to.

"Tell your friends," Laxyie said, climbing down the rooftop, "I don't know nor care about who that guy is."

The man groaned, retreating into the night.

The next day the morning was quiet in Nursa. Merchants shouted prices, children darted between stalls, and the smell of freshly baked bread mixed with the rain-soaked streets.

Laxyie blended in, carrying a satchel for a small delivery job.

From the corner of his eye, he spotted a group of rough-looking men pressuring a merchant. One of them raised a hand, ready to strike and kill the merchant.

Laxyie before he knew acted.

A soft kick to the leader's knee, and a chop on the shoulder made the leader unconscious, and chaos erupted. People screamed and scattered. Within seconds, the men were on the ground, cursing and shouting. Laxyie had vanished before anyone could notice him moving.

The merchant stared, wide-eyed. "You… saved me?"

Laxyie shrugged. "Don't ask questions Just give me some money.". The merchant gave him money a days worth of work.

He blended back into the crowd, But in the corner of the marketplace, a young boy watched him intently. Something about Laxyie's movements seemed… unnatural.

Laxyie noticed him and find it strange that the boy's eyes followed every step.
