Two days passed in the blink of an eye.
During this time, the relationship between Vale and I had deepened considerably.
I got to know her better, understanding the majority of her situation.
Our interactions had become lighthearted and easy.
However, despite her efforts to hide it, I could tell Vale was saddened by the fact that I would be leaving soon.
That morning, after our meal, we returned to the room in a passionate embrace. A light knock suddenly echoed on the door.
Not expecting anyone, Vale was briefly taken aback. Furrowing her brows, she went to open it. Her eyes shifted as she glanced at the figure standing there.
"Sister…" Vale said, her brows rising in surprise.
Noticing the resolve in Sophie's eyes, Vale's heart skipped a beat.
"Sis," Sophie said lightly. She lingered for a moment before adding, "can I come in?"
"Uh… yeah," Vale replied hesitantly, stepping aside to let Sophie inside.
Sophie glanced at me and shifted nervously. "Hi…"
