Chapter 15 - The Blueprint of a Witch

In the quiet hours before the dawn of my eleventh birthday, I sat in my nook with a fresh roll of parchment. Being "reborn" provided a perspective most eleven-year-olds lacked: I knew that education wasn't just about passing exams; it was about building a toolkit for a world that would soon become very dangerous.

I dipped my quill and began to sketch out my "Seven-Year Strategic Mastery Plan."

Potions: This is non-negotiable. Proficiency in Potions is the difference between life and death in a war. My goal: Mastery of Draught of Living Death and Antidotes by year four. I think it is possible because mother wouldn't settle for anything less. I am confident in my potion making skill as a daughter of one of the known potioneer in the wizarding society it would be laughable to not master certain potions before Hogwarts.

Arithmancy & Ancient Runes: I need these for warding. If I am to protect Raven's Cottage and our new Muggle "anchor" home, I must understand the mathematics of magic. I think that I have to work hard for this because warding is a significant skill that is very hard to acquire in Hogwarts. One has to study few more years after Hogwarts NEWTS exams to get a Mastery in warding.

But you know what is harder than that, Occlumency: The most critical "silent" skill thay any wizardor witch would kill to posses. That being said only three widely known for their magicalpowersin Legimacy and Occlumency and that is professors Dumbledoreand Snape and of courseLordVoldemort. I don't think I have any skill of Potter but hard work certainly pays off. I have already begun practicing clearing my mind before sleep in future I would continue this approach and when I am older I may ask Father about Occlumency practice.

I doubt any of them would interested eleven-year-olds girl mind, but prevention is better than cure. I am not any important character so I better avoid any troubles that may fall in Hogwarts. Yes Caustious and a low key profile of Carters is what I am hoping for my future Hogwarts life.

I want to be an Animagus. In the coming years, the ability to disappear into the environment without a wand will be the ultimate insurance policy. I've researched the timeline: the leaf-mandible-moon process is grueling, but I aim to begin the transformation in my third year. I always wanted to be an Animagus from reading Harry Potter books in pervious life. I know that it is difficult and not all wizards and witches can become Animagus but I desperately wanted to be an one. I think my father is one although I am not so sure when the time comes I will ask father. My hope is for something small and inconspicuous—a swallow or a common forest cat.

I am one year behind Harry Potter. Last year, while I was tending to the mandrakes at home, the "Boy Who Lived" was busy thwarting a possessed professor and finding a Sorcerer's Stone. I don't intend to join the Golden Trio on their near-death adventures, but I must remain an "allied observer."
