"Lucas said Maetel wants me to go to Novaria?" Seth finally looked at me for once. He flicked his holoscreen up and it vanished. "Why?"
"He didn't tell me why per se." I sat down next to him, he jolted a bit. I tried pushing that off. I reached out to him and Seth eyed me. I withdrew my hand and then folded my hands. "I think… it's best for you Seth. I also got a letter a few weeks ago regarding you meeting up with Raetrix."
"Huh?!"
I scratched my forehead and sighed, "I'll go with you okay? Would that help? Just the two of us?"
Seth looked away and stayed silent.
I took a peek at him. The sun coming through the window in my study hit him just right. His almost jet black hair glowed a faint gold in the sun. He's really truly that color. Gold. His eyes, his hair tone, his skin tone was almost golden like, olive toned but a bit tan from the recent activities he's done in the sun. Even his blood is gold.
`I like looking through your eyes when you look at Seth like this.` Avalorne spoke up and I blushed. `Something happens to your senses when you look at Seth… it's almost like you look at him through a true filter, though, it's not filtered. It's like… behold, Seth. I don't know.`
"W-what about Auri?" Seth finally spoke up.
"I'm sure Maria or Heather and David would take good care of her, plus the palace staff adores her, she'll be fine." I smiled softly.
Seth looked a bit worried. He brushed a lock of his hair behind his ears and sighed. "I'll go. I will, but you have to promise me that we will fix… whatever is going on between us, okay?"
I looked away quickly and glanced from side to side a bit startled, heh… yeah. Fix. That's easier said than done. I turned back to Seth and he didn't look pleased.
"We. Are. Fixing this." Seth said coldly.
"Yes." I said in a shaky breath, "Yes, mom."
"You're going back out?!" Ry yelled at me.
I opened my system panel wider and threw a few things through it and the items vanished. The Mira implemented a spatial space that you can store items inside. Though it has a limit and only certain things could be stored in it. I was throwing a few clothes in, weapons, and a few things to help with healing.
"Yeah." I went back to my system screen and closed it. "No biggie."
"NO BIGGIE?!" Ry shouted again, "You just got back, and you have work!"
"Okay Hayden." I dusted my hands off and looked at him and grinned. "Just be happy for me okay? It's just the two of us."
"Tch." Ry turned away, "I am. Happy."
"Sound a bit more cheerful, you sound like you're being forced to say those words."
"I am being forced." Ry walked out of my room and the door bangs shut.
What's with him?
I turned away and bent down to retrieve my coat that I cast onto the floor then paused.
Wait.
Why did I even ask?
It's Ryan freaking Allen.
I blinked and swiped up my coat. I rushed out of my chambers and practically flew down the stairs after zig-zagging past my staff, who cast looks of surprise and alarm. I doubt my feet even touched the ground. I flew the palace doors open and smiled brightly. Seth turned slightly in my direction and blinked surprised as I practically hugged him. He slowly wrapped his arms around me in return and I picked him up and partially dragged him down the courtyard.
"You Highness- URK!" Seth gasped, "You're suffocating me."
"I AM?!" I let him go and he coughed.
Seth stood up straight and eyed me a bit before putting his hands in his pockets and followed me in step, just a touch behind me as he usually does. "Raetrix is allowing me to directly teleport into Novaria." He pulled up his system panel and touched a few buttons. "You ready? I don't know if this will teleport us both though."
"DON'T!" I slapped his hand away, "We'll just teleport outside their barriers like everyone else does and go by foot the rest of the way."
He raised an eyebrow.
"It could be a trap Seth. You know how these gods are. They only do what's best for them. You're also raising a lot of eyes lately."
"I'm not weak though." He said blatantly.
I sighed and closed my eyes. At least he's aware that he can floor just about anyone. I offered him a small smile, "I get that you're strong, but-"
"But? I am, though, and I can pretty much clear a path if we get jumped." He said in a dull tone.
"Seth…"
"What?!"
"Let's just not try having another nation raise their weapons at us. We just got back from Solaria."
"But, that wasn't our fault."
"Can you just get the point?!" I flicked his forehead.
"Yes, sir." Seth looked away
"Seth?"
"What."
"Don't call me sir."
"Yes, your highness."
We teleported outside Novaria's borders and you could just feel the reigning Pylae's powers at work just alone in the air. The air practically moved. I was staring up at the sky. I was finally seeing the time field for myself. I would hear about it from travelers that would visit my father once in a while. It is amazing. You could even see leaves blowing off of trees, suspended in the air along with birds flying to and fro. Animals were frozen in time as well.
Seth blinked a few times, and then shook his head. He flinched a bit and then walked through the field. He too froze once he entered the field. I went after him and I guess once I touched the field I practically felt it touch my face. It felt as if the wind blew in my face. I shivered and caught up with Seth. Seth and I moved normally as if we weren't stuck in time. As time operates differently here. A few days here could be years. As Seth warned us and told me, that's why he didn't want to go to Novaria. It's literally… a nation trapped in their own god's protection. Auri cried for a long time as she understood where we were going and how it might be a very long time for her until we returned. It broke my heart.
