Chris POV
I went home not caring about my so called wife and told the maid to prepare dinner for me after that I went in to sleep. The next day I went downstairs fully dressed to go to the work and I asked the maid if the lady is home. she told me no . I panicked and rushed out to the park and entered the car and the driver drove without hesitation before he could packed well I have already jumped out of the car and rushed to the office and I saw her lying put on her deck shivering I went and touched her forehead and discovered that it was burning and I took her into my arm rushed out to my private lodge thankfully it was early morning and the staffs are not much since we wanted to keep our relationship a secret. I called my doctor and the doctor arrived and checked her and told me she just got high fever overnight and and ask me if she overworked
" I don't know I just told her to finish the document before she leave work"
"Maybe she is having a disorder"
Maria's POV
I blinked my eyes and slowly opened. It I found myself in a strange room and I look around confused then Chris, my husband came and I asked him
"what am i doing here!" and before I know it he started scolding me like a father,
" why would overworked yourself, I only told you to finish the document .if you couldn't finish it in a day, I won't do anything harsh to you"
I told him that i always take my tasks seriously and I can't leave it until I complete it and he just smack his forehead in frustration.
" Alright do what you want to"
and I told him
" it is your fault ,when I'm given instruction I can't stop until it is done".
and he said he was sorry and just wanted to teach me lesson, he never expected it to get to that extent and I smile and said I've forgiven him.
" since our relationship is being complicated should we start as friends?"
" if you know the way I treat my friend you won't suggest being friends but alright we are friends now " i said to him
Lisa pov
I went to Chris office after claiming that I was his friend. As I entered his office, I found it empty so I walked round looking at expensive stuff in his office and I was like mehn, l need him back at all cost. He is now wealthy. Then, I heard laughter around the office but don't know where. Unless there is a secret place here.
"Chris, Chris, please come out" and the laughter died down and Chris and that lady, i saw on the red capet. Anger consumed me and I didn't know when I approached her and pushed her away from Chris and wrapped my arms around Chris putting on my best looks.
"Chris, I am here because of you, since I saw you in red carpet, I feel l the need to explain what happened between us. Please, hear me" I plead holding him tightly. I heard laughter from the lady i just pushed.
"What is funny?
" You of course, your acting sucks"
" What do you mean? " and I look at Chris for help but he just pulled his hands out .
" Have you not disgrace your self enough!, just get out of my office before I do something that you would hate me for "
And I quickly ran out pausing at the entrance, I said
" Chris, I will never give up on you and she" pointing at the lady on the other side
" Is just a substitute for me. I am will take back my position " and with that I left
