Chapter 96 - Chapter 96: Master Roshi, the God of Martial Arts!

After their initial greeting, Qin Yan and Grandpa Gohan chatted for a while longer, exchanging insights on the path of martial arts. Time slipped away unnoticed, and before they knew it, several hours had passed.

It was now midday.

Feeling that it was time to move on, Qin Yan turned to Grandpa Gohan. "Alright, we've seen who we came to see, and it's getting late. We should be on our way."

"What? Leaving so soon?" Grandpa Gohan asked, clearly surprised.

He had hoped Qin Yan would stay until Goku woke up, fearing the boy might be sad to have missed them. "Why not stay for a few days?" he asked in his weathered, elderly voice. "At least wait until Goku wakes up before you go. He'd be so happy to see you. If you leave now and he finds out later, he'll surely be heartbroken."

"No, it's enough just to see that he's safe and sound," Qin Yan replied after a moment's thought. "There's no need to tell him we were even here. We'll come back to visit him again in the future."

He figured it was better this way. He had achieved his goal, and there would be plenty of opportunities to meet again once the boy was a bit older.

"I see... Very well then! Since you have matters to attend to, I won't try to keep you." Seeing they were determined, Grandpa Gohan didn't push any further, assuming they had important business elsewhere.

"Mhm! We'll take our leave then," Qin Yan said with a slight smile.

He rose and headed for the door, with Grandpa Gohan following to see them out.

Once outside, Qin Yan walked toward his motorcycle. After a few steps, something seemed to occur to him. He stopped abruptly, looked back at Grandpa Gohan, and said, "Oh, right. There is one more thing I need to warn you about."

"Whwhat is it?" Grandpa Gohan asked, looking puzzled.

"You've seen the tail Goku has, haven't you?" Qin Yan said, pausing for emphasis.

Grandpa Gohan nodded. "Yes, I have. What about it?"

"It's best not to let Goku go outside at night. Specifically, never let him look at the full moon," Qin Yan said, his expression turning deadly serious.

"W-Why?" Grandpa Gohan was becoming increasingly confused.

"It's because of a unique trait in our race's bloodline," Qin Yan explained slowly. "On the night of a full moon, if Goku stares directly at it, he will transform into a Great Ape."

"Whwhat? A Great Ape!" Grandpa Gohan gasped, stunned by such a bizarre revelation.

"Exactly. But the transformation itself isn't the most important part," Qin Yan said calmly. "The real danger is that once he becomes a Great Ape, Goku will lose his reason. He becomes an incredibly dangerous beast that knows only destruction and slaughter.

Furthermore, his strength increases tenfold. You must be extremely careful to prevent this transformation; otherwise, you might end up getting hurt yourself."

In the original timeline, Grandpa Gohan had been accidentally crushed to death by Goku in his Great Ape form. Qin Yan was offering this warning out of the kindness of his heart, hoping the old man could take the necessary precautions.

"Wh... what..." Grandpa Gohan was paralyzed with shock. A tenfold increase in strength? It was almost too much to wrap his head around. After a long moment of stunned silence, he finally regained his composure.

"If... if Goku does transform into a Great Ape, is there any way to break the spell? Any way to turn him back to normal?" Grandpa Gohan asked gravely. He knew that if Qin Yan was warning him, there had to be a solution.

"There are two ways," Qin Yan said with a small smile.

"Oh? And what are they?" Grandpa Gohan pressed.

Qin Yan held up one finger. "First, you can destroy the moon. If the moon is gone, a Great Ape will return to its original form."

"Wh-What? Destroy the moon?" Grandpa Gohan's eyes nearly bulged out of his head. The suggestion seemed utterly impossible.

Since destroying the moon was hardly realistic for him, he quickly asked for the alternative. "And the second way?"

"The second method is to remove Goku's tail." Seeing the old man's persistence, Qin Yan explained the more practical solution.

"Wh... just by pulling off the tail?" Grandpa Gohan asked, incredulous that such a simple act could end such a terrifying transformation.

"That's right. As long as the tail is removed, the Great Ape will revert to normal. Furthermore, until the tail grows back, looking at the full moon will no longer trigger the transformation," Qin Yan confirmed with a serious nod. "Also, the tail is Goku's weak point. If you grab it, his entire body will lose its strength."

Qin Yan revealed another Saiyan secret, primarily hoping Grandpa Gohan would use the information to train Goku to overcome this weakness.

Grandpa Gohan was beyond amazed. He never imagined a simple tail could have such strange properties.

Qin Yan continued, "So, you can periodically cut off Goku's tail. That way, even if he sees the full moon, he won't transform, and he won't be a danger to anyone around him."

Grandpa Gohan nodded solemnly. "I see. Well, thank you for the warning, young friend. This old man will remember it and be sure to take extra care from now on."

"In that case, we'll be off."

With everything settled, Qin Yan straddled his motorcycle.

Vroom! Vroom!

The engine roared to life.

"Goodbye!"

"Farewell, old man!"

Qin Yan and Liya waved to Grandpa Gohan as the motorcycle accelerated away, leaving a trail of dust in its wake.

"Goodbye!" Grandpa Gohan watched them leave with a kind, gentle smile, raising a weathered hand to wave them off.

Thut-thut-thut!

Dust billowed behind them like a long pillar of smoke as the motorcycle sped through the mountain paths.

...

After leaving Mount Paozu, Qin Yan and Liya traveled thousands of kilometers on the motorcycle.

Eventually, they arrived at the coast.

Before them lay a vast, magnificent ocean, its waves surging endlessly toward the horizon. The water was a deep, crystalline blue, like a massive sapphire set between the earth and the sky.

The tranquil, azure waters met the heavens at the horizon, creating a breathtaking vista where the sky and sea merged into one shimmering blue canvasa vast painting that seemed to connect the edge of the world to the infinite universe.

Under the bright sunlight, the ripples on the surface sparkled with golden light, like countless tiny spirits dancing upon the waves. The sea surged in layers under the gentle breeze, resembling thousands of wild horses galloping without end. In the distance, sea birds soared over the water, seemingly singing in praise of the ocean's grandeur.

The rhythmic crashing of the waves against the shore produced a melodic sound, a natural symphony that stirred the passions of the soul. The distant mountains stood like dark ink paintings, reflecting against the sea to create a scene so beautiful it made one forget the desire to leave.

A gentle sea breeze blew past, carrying the scent of fresh salt and the crispness of the water, instantly refreshing the spirit.

Qin Yan and Liya stood silently on the beach, soaking in the moment.

Taking in the stunning scenery, a joyful smile spread across Liya's face. She turned to Qin Yan and said, "Brother Qin Yan, is this the ocean? It's so beautiful!"

"Haha! What do you think about finding an island with a nice environment and building our home here on Earth?" Qin Yan laughed. He had long planned to settle down on this planet.

"Really? That would be wonderful!" Liya chirped with delight. She had already grown deeply fond of Earth, not just for its beauty, but primarily for the incredible variety of delicious food.

Qin Yan had come to the coast for two reasons: first, to pay a visit to Master Roshi, the "God of Martial Arts," and second, to scout for a suitable island to live on. He intended to follow Roshi's example and establish his residence on a private island.

"Of course! Come on, let's visit a certain place first, then we'll go looking for our new home."

Qin Yan restarted the motorcycle and gestured for Liya to hop on.

"Okay!" Liya hopped onto the back seat with an excited bounce.

Thut-thut-thut!

The motorcycle shot out across the surface of the water. Its immense horsepower kicked up a long wall of spray behind them as they skimmed over the waves.

Qin Yan's current destination was Master Roshi's island. He knew exactly where it was because he could sense an exceptionally powerful presence in that direction. The Power Level was around 130, which almost certainly belonged to the legendary turtle hermit.

Following the direction of that powerful aura, the motorcycle sped across the sea for two hours until an island finally appeared on the horizon.

As they drew closer, the details of the island came into focus.

Liya cried out in excitement, "Brother Qin Yan, look! There's an island! And there seems to be a house on it!"

It was a small island featuring a two-story, pink wooden house surrounded by a few tall coconut trees. Looking at the scene that looked exactly like the original anime, Qin Yan knew he had found it. Kame Island.

Inside the pink house on Kame Island...

A bald old man sat on the floor. He had a thick white beard above and below his lips and wore a pair of red-framed sunglasses. Dressed in a red short-sleeved shirt and yellow shorts, he looked quite casual, save for the large purple turtle shell strapped to his back.

This man was indeed the "God of Martial Arts," Master Roshi.

However, at this moment, the great martial arts master showed none of his legendary dignity. Instead, he looked quite lecherous as he knelt on the floor, his eyes glued to a television screen less than a foot from his face.

The reason for his intense concentration was simple: the TV was currently airing a gymnastics program featuring a beautiful young woman.

"One, two... lift your legs higher... one, two..."

"One, two, straighten your legs... one, two..."

On the screen, the pretty girl counted the beats as she rhythmically lifted her legs in her exercise routine. To Roshi, the sight was nothing short of heavenly.

"Lift those legs higher... one, two..." Master Roshi muttered under his breath, mirroring the count with his eyes fixed on the screen.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a violent crash shook the house.

A sleek black beast of a motorcycle tore straight through the wooden wall of the shack. By some stroke of "luck," it slammed directly into the television set right in front of Roshi. An explosion followed immediately, completely obliterating the master's TV.

The sudden, chaotic turn of events left Master Roshi completely shell-shocked!
