Chapter 52 - Chapter 041 Patterns

Jun stood in the center of the massive hall, his gaze moving slowly across the towering throne, the broken seats lining the sides, and the enormous white-cloth-covered statue looming infront of him. Even after everything that had just happened, his mind refused to settle. The questions kept looping, overlapping, colliding with each other.

How did it know his name?

What kind of "authority" was this?

Ancient architecture… yet a modern device?

None of it aligned and none of it felt natural. Everything felt like staged.

"Master…"

Red Eye's voice broke through his thoughts.

Jun didn't turn,"Hmm?"

She looked around carefully, her gaze tracing the glowing edges, the symmetry of the hall, the unnatural stillness of everything.

"This… all of this… feels like an illusion."

Jun's eyes narrowed slightly.

Red Eye continued, her tone calm but observant, "The hall… the thrones… even that statue… everything looks too perfect."

She paused for a moment, as if trying to find the right word,"Too… clean and perfect."

That was enough, something clicked in jun's mind. A faint sharpness appeared in Jun's eyes, like a blade catching light.

"…Thank you," he said quietly.

Red Eye immediately looked at him, confused. "For what, Master?"

Jun finally turned toward her, his voice calmer now, more controlled,"For pointing it out."

She frowned slightly. "Pointing out what?"

Jun slowly shifted his gaze back toward the throne and the massive covered figure behind it.

"If this really is an illusion shelter…" he said, his tone steady, "…then how did we even reach this place so easily?"

Red Eye went silent.

Jun continued, thinking aloud now, but every word carried weight,"And more importantly… the moment we stepped inside… why did we find everything so quickly?"

He gestured lightly toward the hall,"A hidden chamber, A royal throne, A mysterious device, A system calling me 'Jun' and rule here."

His voice lowered further,"All of it… came too easily."

Now he looked directly at the throne,"This kind of place shouldn't reveal itself like this."

Red Eye hesitated. "Master… I don't fully understand."

Jun exhaled slowly and raised a hand slightly.

"Don't think too much," he said calmly,"Just stay quiet."

She nodded and fell silent. Jun slowly closed his eyes halfway. Then he began from the beginning. He retraced everything step by step. The moment he entered the shelter. His condition at that time injured, exhausted, unstable. His goal find a safe place, nothing more. What he expected basic shelter, maybe danger, maybe nothing.

What he actually found structure, complexity, layers, hidden depth. Then the rabbits which are Weak, manageable, almost… convenient. The broken lower floor, the missing statue, the scattered fragments, the hidden hall and now this throne with device and the system card.

Jun replayed every detail in his mind, slowly aligning them, searching for inconsistencies and then it became clear.

"…This is all an illusion," he thought quietly,"The entire thing."

He took a few steps forward, then paused, observing the hall again this time not as a place, but as a construct. He began analyzing everything all angles, light reflections, shadows, and symmetry. The way the glow moved across surfaces. The way objects aligned too perfectly.

The way nothing felt worn in a natural way. The deeper he looked the more artificial it felt. This place wasn't entirely real at least not in the way it appeared.

Jun turned toward Red Eye,"Go back."

She didn't ask why,"Understood, Master."

In the next moment, her form dissolved into mist and disappeared. Now, Jun was alone and that was exactly what he needed. He moved to one side of the hall, sat down on the ground, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes.

For a few seconds nothing happened. Then he began trying to stabilize his thoughts. It wasn't easy, his mind was still unstable, body was still recovering, and energy was inconsistent.

He tried to clear his thoughts but failed. Tried again and failed. He attempted to control his abilities, to push his awareness outward, to sense the structure beneath the illusion. But nothing worked.

Sometimes a faint crackling appeared around his hands, pain spiked in his chest, and his focus broke halfway through.

Again and again and again but every attempt collapsed. Time passed but he had no idea how much. At some point, he stopped because of exhaustion. His breathing became heavy and sweat formed on his forehead.

Jun opened his eyes and sat there silently, frustration settling deep inside him. For a long moment he didn't move. Then something shifted a thought. It was not too got and he don't know it works or not but he think he need to try it.

Jun slowly lifted his head and looked toward the hall again. If this illusion was this strong… Then brute forces and powers wouldn't break it. This wasn't something I could destroy it was something that I had to understand.

"…Patterns," he murmured under his breath.

Everything here followed a structure. If he could understand how it was built maybe he could reverse it. Jun's eyes sharpened. He was thinking ahead.

"If it's an illusion… then it's showing me what I'm meant to see. Which means… There's something it's hiding."

But there was still one problem. Jun narrowed his eyes slightly.

How do I reverse it?
