Chapter 1 - Tomorrow

Every morning, we wake up already carrying tomorrow on our shoulders. Before our feet touch the ground, our minds are racing ahead thinking of what might go wrong, what we might lose, what we still don't have. We imagine conversations that haven't happened, failures that may never come, endings that are not yet written. In doing so, we forget that today has just begun.

Worry feels like preparation, but it is not. It does not solve tomorrow's problems or protect us from pain. Worry only drains the peace from the present moment. It steals the softness of the morning, the silence between breaths, the simple gift of being alive right now.

Look at the birds in the sky. They do not wake up wondering how long they will live or whether the day will be kind to them. They do not question if the wind will carry them or if the ground will betray them. They rise, they fly, and they trust. Somehow, in their movement, food appears. Not because they worried, but because they lived.

Humans, on the other hand, pause too often. We freeze between yesterday and tomorrow, trapped in thoughts instead of moments. We hold onto regrets like scars and fear the future as if it is already broken. We forget that life does not exist in our worries it exists in our steps, our breaths, our courage to move forward.

Peace is not the absence of problems. Peace is the decision to stop living in a time that does not yet exist. It is choosing to be present even when the future feels uncertain. It is understanding that control is an illusion, and trust is a strength.

Everyday life teaches us this quietly. In the way the sun rises without asking permission. In the way the heart keeps beating without reminders. In the way birds fly without guarantees. Life continues, not because everything is safe, but because movement itself is faith.

Maybe we were never meant to carry the weight of tomorrow all at once. Maybe we were meant to take one step, one breath, one moment at a time. To live now. To trust enough to move. To believe that what we need will meet us along the way.

And maybe, like the birds, peace comes not when we know everything but when we finally choose to fly.
