They only attack solo bronze rank mystique creatures or ones that travels in two to three members.
The only solo bronze rank mystique creatures they encounter are ambushers or stationary.
In a large tree, Sean was resting with Wuk, he was frowning as he gaze to the distance.
"Even if I find a gold vein here, this place isn't suited for the Gold Family to build a base." He analyzes.
He's too deep in the inner core, it wasn't his fault entirely, he was pushed to this location because of encounters of silver rank mystique creatures.
He's not confident to even deal with one of them, even the weakest silver rank they encounter is still a lot stronger than the two of them.
"Taking this mission was a mistake, I've greatly underestimated the strength of these mystique creatures." He mutters.
He can't leave the forest because of the system and Beast World so he tries to stay active by searching for a perfect place to turn into a base.
He thought that he can pay his debt, only to be smacked by the harsh truth that he's still weak.
Fortunately, with the Monkey Body Tempering Technique breaking through, his vitality is much more powerful than before.
Constant training, fighting and eating high class meat has shaped his muscles more.

"Devil Apes, I think that they might be hunting their nemesis, either way, all three mystique creatures are beast types perfect for Jasmine's evolution." He shares his plan to Wuk.
Wuk pats his chest and the two of them went into action.
Since they can't defeat any of the three mystique creatures, they had to work together to secure a fresh corpse for Jasmine to absorb.

Sounds of battles can be heard nearby, Sean's eyes lights up, it was the direction of the Black Ape nest.
The two of them speeds up to the direction and just like Sean expected, the Devil Apes are trying to overwhelm the Black Apes with their numbers.
"Wait! Don't make a move yet, I found a perfect target." He then points at a certain direction.
There, a large Black Ape was fighting a silver rank Devil Ape and dozen Devil Ape elites.
Sean creeps towards these group together with Wuk, once they're close, both springs into action.

Their attacks were intercepted by two Devil Ape elites that were on standby.
Even Sean was unaware of their presence, unfortunately for the two apes, the punch they threw isn't that easily deflected.
The arms of the two apes were crushed, Sean knowing that they're already discovered didn't hesitate to switch his target.
"Kill them!" He roars and advances but more Devil Apes appears, causing the two to retreat.
The Black Apes looks at their enemies and are actually retreating, night battle isn't their forte.
He clicks his tongue knowing that their plan failed, he didn't expect that the Devil Apes are more difficult to deal with in the night compared to the day.
Seeing them retreating, the apes looks at their leader, in which the latter issues a certain order.
Four Devil Apes chases after Sean and Wuk, they're going to fight them 2V1 and return to finish their job.
Sean was surprised by this sudden change, he then laughs and gestures Wuk to lead them to a different direction, he doesn't want the Devil Apes to discover their hideout.
"Hahaha! You think that four of you can take the two of us?" Sean was happy that the Devil Apes sees them as nothing more than prey.

Both him and Wuk charges towards the four apes without fear.
Sensing the threat from the two, all the Devil Apes transforms, becoming bigger, their eyes turning blood red and their fangs growing longer.

This is the reason why the Devil Apes hunts at night, this skill can only be activated at the absence of the sun.
BAM! One of the apes tries to pounce on Sean, only to have its head blown back by his jab.
The other ape tries to attack him from the side but he twists his legs and takes one step, delivering a counter.
BAM! *Crack* The sound of its skull cracking reverberates in the area but it's still isn't dead.
This is the vitality of most beast-type mystique creatures, they might not have complicated skills and abilities but their bodies are extremely resilient.
After delivering the counter, Sean sends a couple of jabs to the other apes, all of it aiming at its head.
BAM! BAM! The apes doesn't the ability to think like humans, their instincts tells them that it's dangerous but with the speed of a jab from a martial artist, even if they know, they can't dodge it.
Humans would've blocked it since the instinct is already telling them which direction the attack is coming from.
Unfortunately, most creatures would try to dodge it but is dodging a jab so easy?
With the other ape incapacitated, he decided to finish the one with the crushed skull.
Body blow! The power of the punch seems to bore through its body in the mind of the ape.
The force generated from this punch is truly something else, the impact can be seen in the back of the ape when its body curves after taking the blow.
Just as it was about to vomit, Sean sends a straight on its throat, closing it in.
That punch nearly destroyed it, he then assumes a stance in which he swings a right hook with all his might, bringing all his body in this strike.
BOOM! The jaw of the ape was utterly destroyed, the attack numbs its brain.
Followed by a kick in the knee, causing it to fall, before it can wake up from its current straight, Sean raises his hand.
Chopping right! The blown blasts its head into smithereens.
'I guess that will be Wuk's dinner, I'll just eat some part of it.' He thought before redirecting his gaze on his next target.
The remaining Devil Ape had just recovered but when it smelt the blood of its kind, it immediately knew that its situation is looking very dire.
It tries to escape, their fighting style is to coordinate with their kind, the concept of a 1V1 isn't something they keen to engage.
Unfortunately for it, Sean will not let it go, it's going to serve as the nutrient for Jasmine's growth.

Meanwhile, at the same time Sean engages with the two Devil Apes.
Wuk also collides with the other two Devil Apes, he demolished the two with just two hits.

Knowing Sean's appetite, he opens his mouth and starts munching on one of his opponent.
"Let's leave, I don't think that those Black Apes will continue fighting." Knowing full well their opponents are something they can't take on by themselves, the two of them quickly leaves with the carcasses.
Within Beast World, Wuk was digesting what he just ate, it would've been better if he can train inside but there are still restrictions in this incomplete small world.
At least after he ranks up, it had become wider and bigger, making it more convenient for him to store things inside.
He's quite excited what would happen if it's upgraded after staying in the inner core.
ROAR! SCREECH! The cries of the Devil Apes is quite loud, it seems that their battle against the Black Apes has finished.
He was hiding in the tree, without Wuk's scent, finding him would be difficult.
He waited for an hour before coming out of his hiding spot and summoning Wuk and a couple corpse of the Devil Ape.
Without hesitation, Jasmine transforms and wraps her tail around the corpse.

Jasmine let out a screech that sounds like a babies cry and a tortured soul, Sean's has a chill from this.
Then her body starts changing before she becomes a flash of light entering Beast World.
He's stunned, he then looks at her status and it states.

She's out of commission, the system doesn't even indicate how long she's going to stay in this state, the only thing he knows that adding more conditions to his partner's evolution would affect their subsequent evolution direction.
He now understands why Wuk has an additional condition, it wasn't just added but something that can affect him.
'For now, I will stay here and teach Bun² martial arts and train Flare's fire control.' He thought.
He can't risk traveling in this forest without Jasmine, the danger is something he can't handle.
