The next morning, Lucas opened his eyes and saw Gengar staring blankly at him with his phone.
Lucas was almost scared to death; he opened his eyes and saw a pair of scarlet eyes.
"What's wrong?"
Lucas recovered, yawned, and asked.
"Gengar..."
Gengar handed him the phone, indicating that it wouldn't turn on.
Gengar thought he had broken it and was hanging his head.
Without the status bar, Lucas could feel that Gengar was truly contrite this time. He checked it and found that it had just run out of battery and shut down.
"I thought it was something serious. It just ran out of battery and shut down; it's not broken."
Lucas reached out, tugged at Gengar's mouth, making it smile, and said with a laugh.
"Gengar?"
Gengar, whose mouth was being tugged, asked in confusion.
Lucas plugged in the charging cable and gestured for Gengar to look.
Seeing that the phone could turn on again, Gengar happily laughed.
"Alright, go play."
Lucas tugged at Gengar's mouth again, then walked into the bathroom to wash up.
Walking out of the bedroom, Lucas looked at the large house and sighed.
Today, he planned to clean the house himself, then see what daily necessities still needed to be purchased, and how the empty space behind should be better planned, making it convenient to find a company to redecorate it.
There were also the facilities needed for the Breeding House, Pokémon Egg incubators, and he might even need to buy Pokémon Eggs.
After all this, he estimated that there wouldn't be much money left in his pocket.
"The road is long and difficult."
Lucas shook his head, then went to inspect each room. He decided to convert all these rooms into guest rooms, as he might make some friends in the future, giving them a place to stay when they come to visit him.
Then, the first floor would be planned as a reception area for guests, with the walls modified, and some props placed on them, but not too many modifications, to save space and be aesthetically pleasing.
Just like that, Lucas walked around, got a rough plan, then picked up a broom and started cleaning each room.
Yesterday, Machamp and the others had only cleared out some damaged furniture. Lucas planned to clear out some good items that were currently not in use, which he had to do himself.
"It would be great if someone could help."
Lucas had been cleaning for quite a while before he finished one room, already panting with exhaustion.
Looking at the remaining three rooms, Lucas shook his head, preparing to continue working.
Just then, Gengar emerged from the floor.
"Gengar~"
It grinned at Lucas, then handed him a few Berries.
Lucas looked at them; they were common Oran Berries, and he still had some in his backpack that he hadn't taken out yet.
"Did you go find these for me?"
Lucas took the Berries, looked at Gengar, and asked.
Gengar nodded, then gestured for Lucas to eat quickly.
Lucas looked at Gengar in front of him and glanced at its status bar.

Seeing that Gengar went to find Berries for him because he hadn't eaten breakfast, Lucas felt a warmth in his heart.
He wasn't used to eating breakfast, but from now on, he would have to consider eating breakfast, especially with Gengar around.
However, seeing that Gengar still wanted to prank him, Lucas munched on a Berry and said, "Sigh, I really want to play with Gengar."
"Gengar!!! (*ﾟﾛﾟ)!!"
Seeing Gengar's shocked expression, Lucas secretly smiled to himself, then continued, "Too bad, I still have so much work to do."
"Gengar..."
Looking at Gengar, who had lowered its head again, Lucas said, "But, if Gengar is willing to help me with some work, I can finish earlier and play with Gengar sooner. I just don't know if Gengar is willing to help me, sigh."
Lucas lowered his head, sighing.
Gengar heard Lucas's words, flew over, and snatched the broom from Lucas's hand.
"Gengar!"
Gengar patted its chest at Lucas, indicating to leave it to him.
Seeing Gengar's 'leave it to me' demeanor, a hint of slyness flashed in Lucas's eyes, then he directed Gengar to start working.
For heavy items, Gengar would use Psychic to clear them out of the house, then clean the room, and finally mop the room once.
Watching the busy and flustered Gengar, Lucas munched on an Oran Berry and said, "If Gengar knew Double Team, it would be great. It could create many Gengar, and many Gengar would work very quickly."
Hearing this, Gengar turned its head, its scarlet eyes staring intently at Lucas.
Then Gengar fell into deep thought.
"Gengar — •᷄ ࡇ •᷅"
Seeing Gengar's constipated expression, Lucas was about to comfort Gengar when he noticed another Gengar appear next to it.
"Puff~"
Another Gengar appeared.
"Puff~"
Yet another Gengar appeared.
Gengar, who had created three clones, wiped the cold sweat from its forehead and fanned itself with its short hands.
Lucas looked at the scene before him and then at the Double Team that had appeared in Gengar's status bar.
He had forgotten to chew the Oran Berry... "Is this... right?"
Lucas mumbled to himself.
Gengar fanned itself for a while, then, looking at the three extra versions of itself, happily floated up. It then commanded the three Gengar clones to begin their respective tasks.
The speed instantly shot up.
Lucas also provided emotional support from the side.
After a morning, the entire house was mostly tidied up. Gengar, exhausted, dispelled its clones and sat on the floor, its small tail wagging behind its backside.
Lucas took out two bottles of Moomoo Milk, walked over to Gengar, and handed one to him.
"Here, drink."
"Gengar~ (´ ▽ ｀)—"
Gengar happily took the Moomoo Milk and gulped it all down in one go.
Then Lucas directed Gengar to remove the chandelier from the ceiling and took him to inspect the empty space behind the house.
He pulled out a pen and noted down everything that needed to be purchased.
Pushing away the cheek that had pressed against his, Lucas pulled out another bottle of Moomoo Milk and handed it to Gengar. Then he took out a stethoscope and hung it around Gengar's neck, letting him play with it for now.
"Let's go, Gengar, we're going to eat, and then buy some food to bring back. Next time, we can cook."
Pushing the stethoscope off his head, Lucas capped his pen and said to Gengar.
"Gengar. (＾￢＾)"
Then Gengar followed behind Lucas, locked the door, and walked towards Twinleaf Town.
Laughter and playful noises continued along the way.
"Stop listening to my head with the stethoscope, and not my backside either!"
"If you keep doing that, I'll take it back!"
"Gengar —"
"No! I'll trade you for something else."
"Gengar!!!"
"Oh, don't lick me!"
