Chapter 12 - The Girl with Extremely Low Presence

In an instant, the Points of Death shattered and dissipated.

The two anomalous human bodies turned into black ash and slowly scattered into the air.

Seeing the two anomalies cut down by Kawashima Toya, Kato Megumi could no longer hold on. Her eyes rolled back, and she fainted on the spot.

Toya caught Kato Megumi's body and examined her closely. "It really is Kato Megumi."

Should I take her back now? Or how should I handle this?

Forget it. I'll take her to the apartment and let Kasumigaoka Utaha deal with her.

...

Kasumigaoka Utaha's Apartment.

Kasumigaoka Utaha stared at Toya in astonishment. She sat elegantly on the sofa, her long, slender legs crossed. "You went out to kill anomalies, yet you brought back a beautiful girl?"

"Did you forget there's already a beautiful girl waiting for you at home? You scum..."

Toya ignored the drama queen Utaha and spoke calmly. "I met her in the house of the Evil God's minion."

"She's probably been trapped there for a few days. Get her something to eat first, and if possible, contact her family."

Kato Megumi had been trapped in Aki Tomoya's house for several days. Although he didn't know if she had survived purely due to her low presence, the reality was harsh.

In the scorching summer heat, not showering for a day was enough to cause an odor.

After several days without bathing—and spending that time in a dirty, damp space under the stairs—Kato Megumi definitely had a bit of a smell.

It wasn't appropriate for him, a guy, to handle this situation. He could only leave it to Kasumigaoka Utaha.

"What a heartless man, making one girl take care of another girl for you." Utaha looked at Toya with resentment in her wine-red eyes.

Although she complained, she still did as asked.

Ten minutes later, Utaha sat down next to Toya, carelessly close, their bodies almost touching.

Her beautiful face was filled with curiosity. "Kawashima, I've taken care of that girl as you asked."

"Now, you should tell me what happened."

As a light novel author, she was incredibly curious about any encounters that deviated from the ordinary.

These strange experiences might just become the factor that made her next light novel a hit.

Toya glanced at her indifferently. "It's better for you to know as little as possible about these things."

"Fine. If you won't say, then don't." Utaha turned her head away, her interest waning.

After nearly turning into an anomaly herself, she understood that the less she knew about these existences, the better.

At least until she had the strength to defend herself, ignorance was bliss.

The two maintained a strange atmosphere for a while before Toya suddenly spoke. "Fatty Kasumi..."

"Slip of the tongue. Kasumigaoka Utaha, Regarding the girl next door, try to avoid contact with her."

"Unless it's a matter of life and death, I suggest you don't interact with her."

This world was chaotic enough. Evil Gods and Angels had both appeared.

Gabriel looked much like she did in the anime. Unsurprisingly, she would likely fall from grace due to video games.

If that happened, the uncertainty of the world would increase even more.

In such a dangerous and chaotic world, he couldn't count on Gabriel being exactly like the anime character who was addicted to games all day.

If she had a bad day and decided to cause some trouble, it wasn't impossible.

"I got it." Utaha looked at Toya with dissatisfaction. "Also, what did you mean by that name just now?"

"Am I really that fat?"

"Do you want to check for yourself?"

As she spoke, Utaha leaned in, her wine-red eyes filled with teasing, intentionally or unintentionally showing off that her figure wasn't fat at all.

"Don't get too close." Toya pushed her away with a look of disgust.

Although he had only known Kasumigaoka Utaha for a day, he had watched the anime many times.

Kasumigaoka Utaha was undoubtedly full of bad taste; she was actually teasing him.

If he took it seriously, he would die of social embarrassment on the spot.

With her personality, he would inevitably be mocked relentlessly.

"Strange, why would I have that thought?"

Toya looked at Utaha, a weird thought welling up in his mind.

The otaku soul from his past life seemed to be roaring.

What's a little mockery? That's Kasumigaoka Utaha... How many people would kill just to meet her?

Toya thought for a moment but ultimately abandoned the tempting idea.

"Kawashima, your gaze is so strange. Are you thinking something weird?" Utaha felt a chill run down her spine and backed away slightly to keep some distance.

Toya shook his head gently. "No. By the way, don't you have school tomorrow?"

"It's so late, aren't you going to sleep?"

"School?" Utaha's exquisite lips curled up in a mocking smile. "I'm a top student at Toyogasaki Academy. Even if I don't go to school, it won't have any impact."

Toya nodded slightly. "That works too. I'll leave the unconscious girl to you."

"I'm going to sleep!"

"Living as a net cafe refugee for several days was just too hard."

With that, Toya stretched, yawned, and walked toward his room.
