Chapter 60 - Chapter 60

The Wrath of the Ansha

Xiao Yan's fury erupted like a storm unbound. A power unfamiliar yet intimately his own surged through him, a presence that was both divine and paternal—the Ansha, his father, standing behind him as a towering green-eyed figure, radiating strength that eclipsed even the devastation around them.

He launched himself at the evil god with unrelenting force. The evil god raised a barrier, and the clash sent shockwaves rolling across the Obsidian River, hurling Xiao Yan backward. Blood spattered his lips.

"How… how are you this powerful?" Xiao Yan murmured through gritted teeth.

"I am the evil god," came the mocking voice, chilling and venomous. "Look around. Evil festers in the hearts of everyone—Xiao Yan, Nem, even Mi-An. I feed on it. You cannot defeat me. Only the Ansha could. But you… you killed him. Every death here is your doing, every scream, every loss… all because of your choice."

Tears welled in Xiao Yan's eyes, his shoulders trembling under the weight of guilt.

"Xiao Yan, don't listen to him! You can overcome this, uhn… Xiao Yan!" Mi-An's voice pierced the chaos, a lifeline in the tempest.

The evil god hissed, venom dripping from his words. "Look at her! She manipulates you! Kill her! Kill all of them! Together, we can rule the world!"

Xiao Yan's hands shook. For a moment, he was paralyzed, torn between grief, fury, and the insidious whispers of the evil god.

"Father… please help me," he whispered, pleading to the one lost to time.

"Your father is long gone," the evil god sneered.

Then Mi-An surged forward, wrapping herself around him from behind. His tears fell on her blood-streaked shoulders, grounding him, anchoring his will.

In that instant, the sky itself split open. A radiant bluish light exploded from Xiao Yan's back. The towering figure of the Ansha emerged, eyes glowing green, a presence that sent waves of force across the battlefield. Xiao Yan's resolve solidified, and he raised his hand.

The evil god tried to flee, but Xiao Yan's strike forced him down. He crashed against the ground before vanishing into the shadows, swallowed by the power of the Ansha. A wave of energy rippled across the Obsidian River, restoring balance to the devastated realm.

Restoration and Rebirth

The battlefield stilled. The demons and devils that had ravaged the disciples and Saints vanished like smoke in the wind. Those who remained, battered and bloodied, found themselves restored—strength, vitality, and injuries healed as if by divine will.

Xiao Yan turned to Mi-An, tears streaming down his face.

"Father… he was here. He helped me," he murmured, voice trembling.

"The Ansha will never leave you," Mi-An whispered, holding his hand tightly.

"I'm… I'm sorry. I let you suffer," Xiao Yan said, bowing his head in remorse.

LuQi and the disciples gathered, witnessing the return of hope, strength, and legacy.

"Welcome back, the god of the universe," Saint LuQi announced, voice resolute. Others echoed in unison, acknowledging the restoration of Xiao Yan's full power.

"I'm sorry, I failed you all… for your losses," Xiao Yan murmured humbly, tears still flowing.

Far away, Nem clutched Di'or's lifeless body, his eyes cold and calculating. In a shadowed cavern, the evil god nursed his wounds, grinding his teeth in fury.

"The Ansha… lives in him," he growled, a sinister promise of conflict yet to come.

The war was over. But the story—the legacy—had only just begun.
