She stilled, then lowered her hand. "It's still there. Hard to ignore."

"It's not meant to be ignored."

There was no command in his tone, only truth.

Liora's gaze shifted slightly, her reflection faint in the glass. "And what is it meant to be?" she asked, softer now.

Thessian paused. Too many answers, none of them simple. Finally he spoke. "It's meant to remind you that you're not alone."

The words settled between them, carrying more than he had intended. Liora's expression remained unchanged, but the bond felt the quiet shift inside her, not acceptance, not rejection, only uncertainty.

She turned her eyes back to the window, watching her own faint reflection layered over the moving landscape. Alone had always been simpler. Clearer. This was not.
