Chapter 1 - Part 1

Part-1

It was the early 2010s, and once again the walls of her home echoed with the sharpness of an argument. Yoon couldn't breathe in that heaviness anymore. With her heart pounding and eyes still warm with unshed tears, she stepped out of the house, letting the door fall shut behind her like a final word she didn't want to speak.

As always, her feet carried her to the one place that had never judged her the small bookshop at the end of the street. She had been a daily visitor. For Yoon, the shop wasn't just a place full of paper and ink, it was where she came to stich together all the parts of herself that life kept breaking apart.

Today, her chest felt tight, her thoughts scattered, and her soul tired. She ran her fingers along the shelves, searching for something anything that could quiet the storm inside her. That's when she saw it.

A book she had never noticed before, one that looked strangely out of place amid the dusty stacks. Its cover seemed to glow faintly, catching the light in a way no ordinary book should. Almost as if it was calling her. The title, Gyarah Gyarah, was unlike anything she'd ever heard. Mysterious. Pulling her in.

Curiosity wrapped around her like a hand, gentle but firm, She picked it up.

When she opened the first page, the world around her dissolved. The book spoke of a man named Kim Namjoon, a figure living in the 1910s a time of storms, silence, and history's heaviest shadows. His life unfolded between the lines with a depth that surprised her, his thoughts, his strength, his love, his quiet bravery. His flaws felt real. His dreams felt familiar It was as though the book wasn't telling a story it was whispering a secret, Yoon flipped back to check for the author, wanting to know the mind that created such a character. But the space was blank. No name. No hint. Not even a faded signature. No one in the shop knew who wrote it either.A shiver passed through her.So she went back to the first page. And she read. The more she read, the more she felt something shift inside her as if Kim Namjoon wasn't just a character in a forgotten story, but someone reaching across time to pull her out of her own darkness. And for the first time that day, Yoon wasn't thinking about the argument or the pain.

She was simply amused, captivated, and strangely comforted by the man in the pages of Gyarah Gyarah.
