Chapter 133: Long Time? or Good Emotions?

Varlen is currently being hunted by Selena and the army right behind.

Boom!!!!

An explosive arrow is fired from a soldier. The explosion makes Varlen stagger to avoid to one side. He has resisted for a long time, so now his body is like it's softening from exhaustion.

On his mouth, blood stains still linger with warmth.

The two sides chase each other with extremely fast speed.

Suddenly Selena captures Varlen's movement; her eyes follow his swaying way of moving while exhausted. Her two hands manifest two very long pink energy spears.

Immediately launching the spear in her hand.

Whoosh!!!!

The spear tears the wind and flies with fast speed. Varlen immediately senses it and turns back, the sword in his hand gripped tight. He senses this is a trap; actually behind the first spear there is still another spear flying, taking advantage of the front spear to hide through visual calculation.

But it's difficult now; when he turns back, he slows his step. A series of energy arrows from the soldiers fly toward him like rain; the energy surrounding him is weak and cannot defend.

Stab!... Stab!... Stab!...

A series of arrows fly and stab into his body, making him like a porcupine. Two eyes open wide, pupils dilated, expression showing clearly the helplessness of being unable to dodge. He is thrown a distance and falls to the ground, two eyes gradually closing; the blue sky is the only thing he sees before dying.

His tears suddenly flow. In the final moment, he remembers his wife's face. That moment she looked at him—no, that moment was when he slashed off his wife's head and the head turned one circle in the air, his wife's eyes scanned over him, but that moment was as if slowed down, making him still remember.

"You betrayed me... but... why until now... do I still... remember those eyes..."

Returning to the time before…

The Know-It-All, the creature that knows everything in this world, small stature carrying a black cloth draped on its body.

The body is very short, high up to the knees. The coal-colored skin is quite bumpy, two large eyes with blue color. Two large hands pointed straight up to the sky. Two hands a bit long with four fingers; it moves swaying quite cutely with short legs. Looking at it, it has no nose; eyebrows or eyelashes are also nonexistent. On the face, there are a few veins emitting light blue light.

This creature goes everywhere without fearing anything, not causing harm, because it cannot be destroyed.

Its face looks pensive as it glides past the crowd. People do not see it because if its will wants it so, it will surely be so.

"Now is still not the time, right? Waiting is truly very long; I'm bored to death."

At this time in Varlen's residence, he is stunned watching his wife turn away after a fierce argument; Varlen bows his face down, restraining himself.

"Why are you going out all day without it being clear where? Why are you gradually getting cold toward me?"

Suddenly, the old butler runs in panicked, not keeping etiquette but shouting loudly:

"Lord Varlen... there is urgent news."

Varlen was already annoyed; someone suddenly breaking the silence also made him annoyed, and he turned around, eyes sharp and cold, voice low and threatening:

"What is it?"

The old butler seems to realize, quickly stands at attention again, voice lowering with seriousness:

"I saw the trace of the Know-It-All, my lord."

Varlen opens his eyes wide from shock. Almost everyone in this world knows of the Know-It-All and has read through many books mentioning it.

"Are you telling the truth?"

The old butler nods.

"I even brought the Know-It-All right to the door, my lord."

Varlen opens his eyes even more in shock as he didn't expect the butler to bring it to his front door.

"R-Really?"

The old butler bows low.

"I do not dare say falsely."

Varlen turns and orders the old butler to follow.

"How did you bring it here?"

The old butler bows and runs after him.

"My lord, I accidentally encountered it on the road; also being someone who reads books, I recognized it immediately. I know our Roam City is not poor, but also not wealthy, so I thought you would need it. When I stepped up and asked it, then wanted it to come along, it agreed."

Stepping to the large yard, right in the center of the yard is the Know-It-All. Varlen recognizes it is very much like the description in books; he then goes up.

"Are you the Know-It-All?"

The Know-It-All looks up, attitude nonchalant, not at all disdainful or fearful, voice calm, going straight to the point:

"What you want, ask me; I will answer, but there must be a price to pay; the price I give is always reasonable, so don't worry, information is always accurate. I don't like talking in circles."

Varlen is quite surprised at the Know-It-All's attitude, but the books also described it slightly, so he is not very surprised, just hasn't thought of a question yet. His head thinks of Tharros City, considering for a moment, but right after preparing to make a decision, his wife's face appears; instinctively he changed his decision.

As Varlen prepares to speak, a transparent membrane surrounds both of them; from the outside, one cannot see inside—it's just an empty yard, but inside the two sides are standing opposite each other.

"I want to know all information about my wife."

As it just uttered from his mouth, he seemed to freeze in surprise at why he said that.

The Know-It-All with interesting eyes looks at Varlen then nods slightly.

"Understood."

"Then do not use energy, carve yourself open and take out one kidney for me."

Varlen opens his eyes wide in panic; he is startled at the price to pay. But then his head thinks; he believes there will be something strange, so the price to pay is like that.

The Know-It-All nonchalantly says:

"When trading with me, you will not default on the debt, so don't think of nonsense. Now think carefully and give me a decision."

But Varlen's mind has been covered by curiosity, remembering the past time his wife was no longer as gentle as before but frequently irritable and always avoiding his face. He didn't hesitate and decided.

"I have decided, you don't need to worry, I will follow the agreement."

The Know-It-All nonchalantly walks around with short legs.

"Then I will speak after you give the price for the information I give; I'll transmit it straight into the head."

Varlen nods, eyes not fearing. He knows if only taking one kidney out without energy protection, it cannot cause him danger yet; he just needs to do it as fast as possible to avoid losing too much blood.

"Fine."

Varlen pulls out the dagger behind his belt, the metallic light shining extremely sharp. Quickly he has stripped the upper body clothes, revealing a muscular torso.

Eyes tense, breath rapid. He's been injured many times, but to injure himself while unable to protect himself is truly still hard to imagine.

The kidneys are located behind the abdominal cavity, protected partly by the ribcage and lying on two sides of the spine.

Varlen clenches his teeth tight; his spirit is ready. Even though once exchanged with the Know-It-All, it surely cannot be recovered or transplanted back.

Blood splatters everywhere, the knife slits a long line, Varlen kneels trembling on the ground. He creates a hole on the body, his hand reaches inside and grabs the kidney; his fingers sharpen with energy and immediately cut off one kidney. He does not dare use energy to protect because the Know-It-All will recognize it. The pain makes his two rows of teeth clench and grind together as if wearing down against each other, tears flow, breath weak.

His hand holding the fresh kidney gives it to the Know-It-All. The Know-It-All nonchalantly takes it.

"You can heal."

Quickly, Varlen uses energy to stop the blood flow and tries to close the wound from inside and out. Inside his body, there is a lot of excess blood flowing out, very dangerous; quickly his mouth spits out a large mouthful of blood to remove some. His forehead is streaming with sweat, breath rapid, trying to self-calm back down.

After a moment, the wound has been treated, but the internal wound is not—that is the wound where he cut his own kidney.

"Must quickly go ask someone to heal."

The Know-It-All lowers the transparent membrane; suddenly his head feels as if electrocuted, and he opens his eyes wide, turning white. The Know-It-All has just transmitted the information about his wife into his head, everything.

Two eyes open wide, he doesn't care about the Know-It-All and immediately runs away to heal the wound.

He lies in bed, hand gripping tight the long sword, his eyes like a madman. The wound has been successfully healed.

He has known all information of his wife from when she was a child until she married him, missing nothing. Different from normal memory which sometimes forgets, the information the Know-It-All gives is never forgotten and is as clear as reality.

Indeed, after he and his wife were married for two years, on a trip to help people in difficulty because they had no food, she had gone to distribute porridge, distribute old clothes to them. Coincidentally, she saw a guy with a very poor family background eating porridge just distributed in a corner, body filthy. This attracted her attention; she approached to strike up a conversation and asked about this beggar.

After that, there were two more times distributing porridge to help people; she also spoke with this beggar. This beggar was very handsome; she had coincidentally discovered it when he brushed back his long hair.

This further made her more interested in this beggar; after many times chatting, the beggar always asked after her attentively, making her heart move more. They shared each other's stories and laughed together.

One day, she took the beggar to bathe to be clean; after bathing, the beggar's beauty became even more brilliant. She was wearing simple clothes and sneaking out to avoid being seen by anyone and wearing a hood. Her beauty together with the beggar's must be called equal.

The beggar being given money by her to help became even more attentive and seemed to have feelings for her.

One starry night, the two gave themselves to each other at a wooden house deep in the forest.
