Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 --Space Law Acknowledged

"Swish—!"

Space rippled like disturbed water.

Bai Yue's figure vanished from its original position and reappeared 1.8 light-years away.

The instant he stabilized his form, his brows knit slightly.

The landing point was off—by nearly eight million kilometers.

After a brief check through the Virtual Universe, Bai Yue understood immediately. This kind of deviation was completely normal. He had only just obtained Space Law recognition; his control was still rough. Environmental unfamiliarity, insufficient teleportation experience, and imperfect spatial anchoring all contributed to such errors.

As his mastery deepened, this margin of error would rapidly shrink.

Much like a child discovering a new and fascinating toy, Bai Yue began experimenting.

His consciousness locked onto distant coordinates.

Space folded.

Teleportation triggered.

Again and again.

Each jump spanned vast distances, far exceeding what ordinary Champions could accomplish through conventional movement techniques.

When Bai Yue finally came back to his senses, he realized—almost with mild surprise—that he had already arrived on Lian Xing Continent.

He stood atop a colossal mountain peak that pierced the clouds. Below him stretched endless mountain ranges, rivers coiling like silver dragons, forests dense with vitality, and countless Lifeforms thriving in harmonious balance.

It was a prosperous, living world.

At that very moment—

A majestic Space Law fluctuation surged through the void.

A silver-white droplet condensed out of nothingness, shimmering with indescribable profundity, and gently descended onto Bai Yue's forehead.

The Space Origin Law acknowledgment.

This was not Bai Yue's first time receiving recognition from an Origin Law—but it was, without question, the most intense.

Space was a higher-tier fundamental Law.

Once acknowledged, it signified that one's comprehension had reached the equivalent of the 18th level of the Tongtian Bridge, placing it firmly at the standard of a Champion-level Undying.

The moment the droplet merged with him, Space itself seemed to resonate.

Like a plucked cosmic string, the fluctuation spread outward in all directions—vast, domineering, and impossible to conceal.

Across the surrounding regions, countless powerful existences were startled awake.

Some assumed a supreme treasure had appeared.

Others sensed the unmistakable aura of Law acknowledgment.

Many immediately prepared to move.

Bai Yue was well aware of this. Such a disturbance could never remain hidden.

But instead of retreating or concealing himself, his lips curved faintly.

He was… anticipating their arrival.

The mission imposed by the Virtual Universe Corporation—twenty trillion military merits—was no trivial requirement.

If he relied on hunting World Lords or ordinary Undying, even under ideal conditions, it would take an absurd amount of time. Worse still, large-scale casualties often caused entire battlefields to cool down, forcing powerhouses to disperse or lie low.

That would only slow his progress further.

Champions, however, were different.

Killing a beginner Champion-level Undying granted ten trillion military merits.

Two kills.

That was all he needed.

While waiting, Bai Yue diverted part of his consciousness inward, observing the transformation of his Original Universe.

Above the eight already-formed Origin Law oceans, a new spatial domain had taken shape.

Within it, the Space Origin Law Ocean was being born.

As the silver droplet integrated, Bai Yue's consciousness connected directly to the Primordial Universe's Space Origin Law Ocean. With just a brief perception, the improvement in his Space Law comprehension was immediately evident.

As before, he borrowed a portion of Space Origin Law power.

The Primordial Universe's consciousness erupted in silent fury—yet still failed to locate the thief.

With the Dao Fruit shielding all causal traces, even the Primordial Universe itself remained blind.

The impact on Bai Yue's Original Universe was profound.

Not an expansion in size—but a leap in quality.

Spatial structure stabilized. Dimensional layers aligned. Distribution became inherently rational.

Previously, the Original Universe had been a singular expanse, artificially divided by Bai Yue into functional regions.

Now, it had transformed into a structure where Spaces overlapped without interference—a "you within me, I within you" arrangement, existing across layered dimensions.

The Origin Space of World Power overlapped with the Origin Spaces of individual Laws.

Where they intersected, a true Space Interlayer formed.

Bai Yue's eyes gleamed.

"So that's how it works…"

Each Space existed independently, yet harmoniously. Access required resonance with the corresponding Law—just like the Primordial Universe itself.

And between them lay the Space Interlayer: currently empty, but destined to grow denser with Space fragments as the universe evolved.

His thoughts drifted briefly.

"Then… what exactly is the Dark Universe?"

At this point, nine of the ten fundamental Laws had already acknowledged him.

Only Time Law remained.

And Bai Yue could feel it—its recognition was no longer far away.

With Space Law acknowledged, his mode of travel had fundamentally changed.

Why fly?

Why rely on spaceships?

Teleportation across light-years had become as natural as breathing.

Of course, in unfamiliar or extremely dangerous regions, caution was still required. A misjudged teleport could drop him straight into annihilation.

His seclusion goal had been achieved.

Next, he would resume hunting alien races—gathering military merits and continuing his investigation into the Sky Horn Ant.

But before that…

He had to deal with the trouble already on his doorstep.

The Space Law fluctuation had drawn attention far faster than expected.

The first to arrive was an Automaton Race Champion.

Ten massive Automaton base ships silently encircled Bai Yue, locking down the surrounding void.

Space solidified.

Bai Yue immediately recognized the signature—this opponent had also grasped a profound aspect of Space Law.

A high-level Champion.

Perfect.

As the blockade completed, the Automaton Race no longer concealed itself.

Lightning surged between the ten base ships, weaving together into a colossal net that sealed the void completely.

Bai Yue's gaze sharpened.

He knew exactly who this was.

Yong'e King—a notorious Automaton Race Champion active on Lian Xing Continent within the Ninth Battlefield.

His signature formation: Ten Directions Purgatory.

Countless Champions had perished within this lightning prison.

"Human brat," Yong'e King's domineering voice echoed through the void,

"it is your honor to die by my hand. Obediently perish."

Meanwhile, Space fluctuations erupted at the periphery.

"Swish—swish—swish!"

Champion-level beings from all four major races teleported in, forced to remain outside the sealed region.

They gathered warily, forming clusters by alliance.

On the Human Race side, several Champions exchanged glances.

"It's Yong'e King. Do you recognize that ape-Human?"

"No. He must be the one who just received Space Law acknowledgment."

"Fushi King, he's from your ape-Human lineage—do you know him?"

The white-armored Human Champion shook his head.

"I've never seen him. But he is unquestionably Human—and a Champion."

His voice transmitted outward.

"Friend, you're facing Yong'e King. If battle breaks out, destroy one base ship as soon as possible. That will cripple Ten Directions Purgatory. If needed, we can assist."

Bai Yue inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment.

Yong'e King, confident in absolute control, did not immediately attack—either to toy with his prey or to wait for witnesses.

Bai Yue had no such patience.

Military merits delivered themselves.

With a thought, the Hun Yuan Staff appeared in his hand.

In a blur of Space distortion, Bai Yue vanished—and reappeared directly above a base ship.

The staff descended.

"BOOM—!"

Void trembled.

The massive base ship shattered like brittle glass, exploding into countless fragments that streaked outward like meteor sparks.

The onlookers were stunned.

Moments ago, Bai Yue had been trapped.

Now, he had annihilated a base ship in a single strike.

Yong'e King detected the Hun Yuan Staff too late.

Before his countermeasures could activate, the foundation of his formation was already destroyed.

The remaining nine ships hastily restructured the lightning net—now flawed, unstable.

Mechanical puppets poured out, converging into a desperate counterattack.

A blinding lightning beam tore through space, striking Bai Yue head-on.

The attack lasted over ten seconds.

When the light faded—

Bai Yue stood unscathed.

Silence fell.

"How… is this possible?!" Yong'e King roared.

Outside the blockade, more than a hundred Champions stared in disbelief.

"This Human… terrifying."

"Yong'e King is finished."

"Crushing suppression."

Protected by high-level treasure armor and supported by Space Law mastery, Bai Yue exploded into motion.

From every observer's perspective—

There were countless Bai Yues.

Base ships shattered.

Puppets disintegrated.

Void lit up with cascading explosions.

Like slicing melons.

Yong'e King's true form was finally exposed—a massive decahedral construct, mechanical arms extending from every apex.

Discussion erupted.

"Ten Directions Purgatory is gone."

"He can't even use half his strength."

"This is a one-sided massacre."

Among the Automaton Race Champions, murmurs spread.

Some mocked.

Some hesitated.

Some waited for orders.

"…Lord Qishi."

That name silenced them.

King He Nu shook his head.

"No instructions yet."

Within the shattered void, Bai Yue raised his staff again.

Yong'e King's fate was sealed.
