The Parisian streets became a blur of color and noise around Jazik, but he saw none of it. His mind was a maelstrom of raw anger, a torrent of grief and fury that churned within him. The memory of Chloé's cruel words, so carelessly thrown, echoed the cold, unfeeling voices of G.O.D. scientists, their pronouncements of his parents' deaths ringing with chilling clarity. He moved with a blind, desperate need to escape, to outrun the pain and the suffocating memories that clung to him like a shroud.
As he pushed through a knot of tourists, a dark akuma butterfly, drawn by the potent despair swirling around him, fluttered into view. It was a tiny, ominous speck against the bright afternoon, an almost imperceptible shift in the air. The butterfly drifted closer, its delicate wings beating a silent, hypnotic rhythm as it aimed for his face, sensing an easy host for its dark magic.
Just as the akuma was mere inches from his skin, a visceral, protective instinct flared within Jazik. His Gavv organ, nestled against his abdomen, reacted with a life of its own. A thick, blue tongue-like appendage, usually hidden, shot out with startling speed. Thwip! It snatched the akuma from the air. The Gavv organ's mouth opened wide, revealing blocky white teeth, and then it simply consumed the butterfly in a single, decisive gulp. Chomp.
Jazik stopped, catching his breath in a ragged gasp. He felt a strange jolt, a sudden calm washing over the turbulent emotions that had consumed him just moments before. He touched his abdomen, a subtle crease forming between his brows as he realized what had just happened. The raw, painful emotions were still there, a dull ache beneath the surface, but the sharp, consuming edge had been blunted.
A calm, chilling voice cut through the fading sunlight, "Impressive reflexes, Specimen G-7."
Jazik spun around. Dr. Vesper Kain stood a few feet away, observing him with detached curiosity. The setting sun cast long, ominous shadows, making Vesper's pale features seem even more stark. Jazik immediately dropped into a defensive stance, his muscles tensing.
"I observed the Akuma," Vesper said, his voice smooth and even. "Your ability to consume it is an interesting power."
He paused, a thin, almost predatory smile touching his lips.
"I wish to meet the user of such magic in the future," Vesper continued, though his piercing silver eyes never left Jazik.
"What are you doing here?" Jazik asked, his voice low, a quiet tremor of anger beneath his words. "Are you just here to capture me?"
Jazik clenched his fists. "I will not go down without a fight."
"I'm not here to capture you," Vesper replied, unbothered by the threat. "Not yet, at least."
He tilted his head slightly, a gesture of intellectual interest. "Your growth has gotten faster, G-7. I tried to stimulate that growth when you were still in G.O.D., but there were no results. Ever since your escape, your growth has accelerated. I find that intriguing."
"I do not care," Jazik stated, his gaze hard. "Ladybug and Cat Noir will handle it as usual."
A faint, almost imperceptible shift in Vesper's expression occurred.
"Are you sure?" Vesper asked, his tone still calm, but with a subtle edge of something colder.
A shimmering holographic image snapped into existence between Jazik and Vesper, painting the school courtyard in stark, flickering light. Ladybug and Cat Noir moved with urgent speed, battling Rogercop. The robotic officer's familiar blue, black, and silver armor, with its glowing red visor and integrated arm-cannons, now faced an unexpected threat. A human-like figure, dressed in a dark coat, approached Rogercop with an unsettling calm.
"Who are you?" Rogercop's mechanical voice echoed, his laser cuffs powering up.
Before Rogercop could react, the cloaked man jammed a device into his chest plate. Zzt! Rogercop's blue armor instantly flashed crimson red, an alarming, violent shift in color. The coat-wearing figure, now revealed as a Humagear, lifted its hand, showcasing a metallic key.
[MAMMOTH!]
[ZETSUMERISE!]
A colossal form materialized around the Humagear. It stood as the Mammoth Magia, a towering figure encased in thick, brown armored plating. Its head was a massive, domed helmet with intricate, vein-like grooves, and a glowing red sensor on its side. Two enormous, golden tusks protruded from its chest, where small, red glowing eyes pulsed with malevolent energy. Its arms were encased in thick, brown gauntlets with golden-tipped claws, while its legs were a black suit reinforced by silver metallic plating. The creature let out a low, guttural growl that vibrated through the air.
The newly empowered Rogercop, his armor now a terrifying crimson, moved with enhanced speed, firing a blast that obliterated a nearby stone statue with a deafening CRACK. Dust and debris billowed into the air. Ladybug and Cat Noir struggled, barely dodging the enhanced, lethal attacks that rained down on them. They were clearly outmatched. The holographic image flickered, then faded into nothingness.
Vesper smirked, a cold, knowing curve to his lips. "It appears your heroes are having some trouble," he stated, his voice laced with an almost amused challenge. "The Magia is upgrading the local law enforcement."
He turned his piercing gaze back to Jazik. "Are you still sure you want to leave this to them?"
Jazik stared at the lingering shimmer where the holographic image had been, his hands clenching into tight fists. The image of Ladybug and Cat Noir, struggling against an opponent far beyond their usual scope, burned into his mind. He recognized Vesper's manipulation, a cold, calculated prod to force his hand, but the underlying truth of the situation was undeniable. Innocent people were in danger, and he could not simply walk away.
"Why are you doing this?" Jazik asked, his voice low and tight with suppressed fury. "What is your goal?"
Vesper's thin smile widened slightly, a cold, unsettling expression. "I want to see how far you can go, G-7. I want to discover your limits."
The scientist simply watched, a silent challenge in his silver eyes. Jazik felt a deep, frustrated growl rumble in his chest. His anger at Vesper, at G.O.D., at the entire situation, was a raw, burning thing, but it was overshadowed by a more primal instinct. He could not, would not, stand by and watch others suffer. His desire to protect those around him, especially his new friends, overrode every urge to flee.
He turned his back on Vesper, the scientist's chilling gaze doing nothing to deter him. Jazik broke into a sprint, pushing through the stunned crowds, his mind focused solely on the school. As he ran, his hand instinctively went to his pocket. He pulled out a Poppingummy Gochizo. The small, purple gummy creature blinked its wide, innocent eyes at him.
Jazik brought the Gochizo to his Gavv organ. The blue lips of the organ parted, and the Gochizo launched itself inside.
[GUMMY!]
The Gavv organ's blocky teeth crunched down.
[EAT GUMMY! EAT GUMMY!]
Blue and magenta energy swirled around Jazik, wrapping around him with intense pressure. The air crackled, a vibrant, almost violent burst of light. His skin tingled as the translucent armor snapped into place, piece by piece. The helmet settled over his head, the golden-yellow lenses glowing with newfound determination.
[POPPINGUMMY! JUICY!]
Kamen Rider Gavv leaped into the air, a blur of vibrant color against the Parisian skyline, and soared toward the embattled school.
