Chapter 35 - The Red Ribbon Army in a Rage

Red Ribbon Army Headquarters.

Black Officer and Commander Red stood before the massive Dragon Ball radar, their faces dark with fury.

Black Officer reported,

"That kid has set out again. His destination appears to be the Dragon Ball in General Blue's territory…"

Commander Red clenched his fists.

"I can see that! What I want to know is—how the hell is that brat finding Dragon Balls so fast?!"

Black Officer hesitated, then said carefully,

"Maybe… his radar is more accurate?"

Commander Red's face twitched.

"What? Are you saying the scientists of the Red Ribbon Army are inferior to the ones backing that kid?!"

"No, no! That's not what I meant," Black Officer hurriedly replied.

"I just meant… maybe his radar is coincidentally more precise."

Commander Red snorted.

"Fine, if our radar is worse, so be it. But the android that bastard built even betrayed us!

We should just execute that Dr. Gero!"

Black Officer panicked.

"N-No, Commander Red! The next-generation Dragon Ball radar is almost finished.

Now is the time we need scientists. We can kill him after that!"

Commander Red sneered.

"We spend a fortune on these so-called experts, yet they're worse than some freelance scientists.

When we gather all the Dragon Balls, I'll execute every last one of them."

He picked up the communicator.

"Communications, send that brat's photo to General Blue.

Tell her: once he's spotted, use everything to eliminate him."

"Yes, sir!"

General Blue's temporary base.

"Useless trash! You still haven't located the Dragon Ball?

That brat has already snatched two from us—Commander Red is furious!"

"We've done everything we can," a soldier replied nervously.

"But the Dragon Ball should be underwater, so the search is extremely difficult…"

"I don't want excuses. Increase the search!"

Suddenly, Blue noticed a soldier at the console picking his nose.

"Wait."

"Were you just picking your nose?"

The soldier froze.

"U-Uh… I'm sorry, I didn't mean to—"

"That's disgusting. Guards, execute him."

"W-What?! No! Please—!"

He was dragged away screaming.

A gunshot rang out.

General Blue smiled with twisted delight.

"What a lovely sound…"

At that moment, a subordinate rushed in.

"Report! Headquarters says the kid is heading this way. His photo has been transmitted!"

Blue smirked.

"Oh? He dares come into my territory?"

"But, General, the Silver and White Squads were completely wiped out by him!"

Blue laughed.

"You think I'm like those losers? They're the disgrace of the Red Ribbon Army."

Goku's photo was printed out.

Blue glanced at it disdainfully.

"Hmph. I expected some mighty warrior—turns out it's just a kid. Boring."

Soon, Bulma landed the plane on a small island.

"Goku, wake up. We're here. The radar says the Dragon Ball is nearby."

Goku rubbed his sleepy eyes.

"Already? Feels like I just fell asleep…"

"You slept all morning. I've been busy flying. Let's go."

They stepped outside.

Endless ocean stretched in every direction.

Bulma checked the Dragon Radar.

"According to this, the Dragon Ball is in the sea."

Goku remembered his new ability—thirty minutes without oxygen.

"Then I'll dive down and grab it?"

Bulma smiled confidently.

"With a genius here, you don't have to suffer. I brought a submarine."

"Really? Hope you didn't grab the wrong capsule."

"Are you doubting me?" Bulma huffed.

"Do I really look that unreliable?"

"No… just a bad feeling."

Bulma began rummaging through her capsules.

Then she froze.

One capsule case was missing.

There was only a single capsule left in this box.

"Wait… something's wrong. Did I leave my capsules at Snow's house?"

She felt a chill.

"This capsule… what is it?"

She remembered her father saying something about "safety supplies."

"Goku, stand back. I'm opening it."

"Bang!"

The capsule popped open—and dozens of colorful photo albums spilled out.

Bulma went blank.

"You call this safety equipment?!"

Goku picked one up and flipped through it.

"Your dad's taste is pretty good. Way better than Krillin's magazines…"

Bulma snatched it away.

"Kids aren't allowed to look at that!"

Fuming, she ripped the albums apart.

"That old man! I'll never trust him again!"

While Bulma was raging, Goku was already thinking.

"Bulma, is the radar waterproof?"

"Not completely. Why—are you really diving?"

"Yeah. It's faster than a submarine."

She thought for a moment, then pulled out a plastic bag and sealed the radar inside.

"There. Waterproofed."

Goku's eyes lit up.

"That'll work!"

"But even if you can dive, the deep sea isn't simple," Bulma warned.

"I'll give it a shot."

In seconds, Goku stripped down to his underwear.

"You wait here. The Red Ribbon Army is nearby—stay hidden."

"Don't worry. I'll hide if trouble shows up."

Goku plunged straight into the ocean.
