Many Uma Musume were moved by the diary. Ask Victor More pointed at herself, stunned. She didn't expect to die of heatstroke.
'What a way to go', she thought.
"Honestly, Do Deuce-san, after seeing Equinox become Horse of the Year, I was worried if I could win a Classic or a Senior title. But after reading the diary, my heart is finally at peace... because I'm dead."
Ask Victor More was at a loss. She had been so happy to see her G1 win, only to see her death in 2023 shortly after. She decided that even if her opponent was the Horse of the Year, she would work her hardest to complete her training goals and help her real-life counterpart escape danger.
"Hehe, it's good we saw it! Let's train together more," Do Deuce said.
She also realized that she, Geoglyph, and Ask Victor More essentially shared the "Triple Crown" of 2022 as a set.
In any other era, the three of them should have been the pinnacle of their generation. Yet, under these exact circumstances, Equinox ascended to become the Horse of the Year in 2023, posting a staggering rating of 135.
What kind of insane race did she run to achieve that? It seemed like a fairy tale, yet here it was, actually happening. Do Deuce and Ask Victor More were consumed by curiosity as they read on.
Inside the Spica dorm:
"Looks like our results in the Arc are as consistent as ever," remarked Scarlet Tale. She possessed a fine physique and long red hair just like Daiwa Scarlet.
This is hardly a surprise, as she was Scarlet's granddaughter in the real-horse world.
She had come over to hang out with Daiwa Scarlet, whom she adored. Whenever Scarlet Tale faced difficulties at Tracen Academy, the honor student Scarlet would patiently help her. In her eyes, Scarlet was incredibly reliable and gentle.
In reality, though Scarlet Tale was Daiwa Scarlet's granddaughter, her JRA record was quite poor, to the point where many didn't even recognize her.
Across her JRA career, she had 0 wins in 7 starts and never once placed in the money. After moving to local racing, she managed only 1 win in 6 starts. Total earnings: a meager 468,000 yen (about $3,100).
Because she lacked racing talent, Scarlet Tale became a broodmare early. She has since become a mother to a filly born on January 9, 2023, fathered by Tanino Frankel, Vodka's son.
This foal was nicknamed "Mame-chan." The video of Scarlet Tale giving birth is still searchable online, during the livestream of her labor at 5:00 AM, over 10,000 Japanese fans watched the "Horse Mama" in real-time.
Mame-Chan had her debut in 2025, getting 18th and 16th place in her first two races. Her actual name after becoming an adult is "Still I Rise."
Since Scarlet Tale became a mother, her popularity grew, fans draw her as a cute, slightly airheaded Uma Musume who is a total fangirl of Daiwa Scarlet.
However, due to her poor real-life record, she will likely never officially join the Cygames project.
It wasn't just Scarlet Tale, all of Daiwa Scarlet's offspring had mediocre records. It's no exaggeration to say that if you added the results of all eleven of her foals together, they wouldn't equal half of their mother's prowess.
If Scarlet said, "I'll take on ten of you," her kids could only nod and say, "Mom, you're right."
This goes to show how rare it is for a mare to produce a powerful foal. Mares like Urban Sea, who gave birth to the likes of Frankel and Sea the Stars, are once-in-a-century miracles of breeding. That is why Urban Sea is hailed as one of the greatest breeding mares in history, or perhaps the greatest.
Scarlet Tale had brought the little bully along today. The toddler was mischievous and full of herself, constantly sporting a cheeky grin. She loved climbing onto Daiwa Scarlet's shoulders to tug on her twin-tails.
Daiwa Scarlet was surprisingly doting toward Mame-Chan. Perhaps it was the "grandparent" effect, as Mame-chan was technically her great-granddaughter.
Normally, Scarlet was obsessed with her image, if Vodka told her there was a grain of rice on her skirt, she'd panic and fuss over it, burdened by the heavy "honor student" persona.
She'd even get petty and turn her head away if Vodka wasn't "considerate" enough to help her, leaving Vodka wondering if the woman was crazy.
Yet, when Mame-chan pulled her hair, Scarlet didn't get angry— she just gave a perfunctory lecture with her hands on her hips. If Vodka had pulled her hair, an explosion of high-intensity bickering would have leveled the room.
Mame-chan also loved playing with Vodka. Sometimes, just as Scarlet was enthusiastically teasing the little one, Mame-chan would scurry off to find Vodka, making Scarlet fume and find Vodka even more annoying.
"Hehe! In that case, I'll be the one to win the Arc in the future! What do you think? I can do it, right?" Mame-chan declared confidently. She stomped her short legs, looking lively and determined.
Her face carried Scarlet's beauty and Vodka's courage. After hearing Equinox's story, she was inspired to take the JRA to the highest stage.
Unfortunately, her real-life racing results didn't reflect her bloodline.
Scarlet Tale said softly, "I believe in you." As her mother, she meant it.
In the real world, Scarlet Tale and Mame-chan were inseparable for a year, with the mother protecting her first-born constantly— though she did occasionally use the foal as a pillow at night.
In the JRA, it's said that a mare puts her heart and soul into her first foal. When the foal is eventually weaned and taken away for training, the mother often panics.
When Mame-chan was taken, Scarlet Tale reportedly ran across the entire pasture, neighing in a terrified search for her baby. It takes a long time for a mother to adapt. By the second or third foal, they often become more indifferent, as if they know the separation is inevitable.
This pain of separation is a path walked by Air Groove, Vodka, Daiwa Scarlet, and even the "Little Witch" Sweep Tosho.
Now, it is uncertain if Scarlet Tale will ever see Little Bean again. Most foals never see their parents again after separation, fathers especially. Equinox is a rare exception, seeing Kitasan Black every day.
Another exception was Mr. C.B. He didn't see his father again, but after retiring, he returned to the Chiyoda Farm Sannizuka branch to graze with his mother, C.B. Queen, in her final years.
C.B. Queen recognized him immediately. The tall, strong champion was her beloved child. She only ever had one foal, after giving birth to Mr. C.B., and she became infertile due to a difficult labor.
In fact, when Mr. C.B. was a foal, he even served as a small pillow for his mother while she slept in the pasture.
So, Mr. C.B.'s mother was probably very happy to see Mr. C.B. return, but Mr. C.B. likely didn't recognize his mother, as he was too young at the time to remember.
Sadly, Mr. C.B. passed away before his mother. According to staff, C.B. Queen wailed throughout the night he died. He passed away from laminitis on December 15, 2000, at age 21, the same fate as his father, Tosho Boy.
Together, they were the first father-son pair in JRA history to both win Horse of the Year.
Among fans, Mr. C.B., is remembered as a king representing one of the most romantic running styles, achieved endless honors in his life.
The only regrettable thing was that he could never overcome the wall named Rudolph, but this absolutely did not diminish his greatness and legend.
People still loved and appreciated him immensely.
Today, his grave stands at Chiming Farm's Sanrizuka branch, where he spent his final years.
Although the Sanrizuka branch is now closed and there are no traces left, he still rests alongside his mother.
"I'll do it, Scarlet Tale-san! I'll take first place at Longchamp and build a great statue for people to worship!" Mame-chan stood with her hands on her hips, her desire to be cool rivaling Vodka's.
"Haha, Mame-chan has spent so much time with Scarlet and Vodka that she's picked up both their traits," laughed Hokko Tarumae.
"She's more like me. If she were like her, she'd be doomed," Scarlet huffed, turning away.
"Like you? You spend half your day thinking about how to be a perfect honor student," Vodka shot back.
If a cunning girl like Nice Nature were here, she'd probably tease the kid with the classic: "If Vodka and Scarlet both fell into a river, who would you save first?"
That would surely short-circuit Mame-chan's brain.
At a hospital in Tokyo:
Nakayama Festa arrived with a group to visit her teacher, Nobuko-sensei. Having completed her training goals in the Dream Cup, she had obtained a "medicine" that could help control the teacher's illness. This reward was linked to the real world.
She was overjoyed.
On her way, she ran into Copano Rickey, Tamamo Cross, and the wind-like Uma Musume Yamanin Zephyr. Hearing where Festa was going, they joined her.
"What a pleasant surprise, Festa-san," Yamanin Zephyr said gently. In the Cygames project, she is the Uma Musume of the wind, chasing the footsteps of the Wind God.
Actually, many fans aren't familiar with Yamanin Zephyr because she appeared late in the game and lacked screentime in the first three seasons of the anime. However, her real-life story is excellent.
She was a contemporary of Mejiro McQueen and Tokai Teio. In the 1993 Tenno Sho Autumn, which McQueen missed due to injury, Yamanin Zephyr pulled off an upset victory as the 5th favorite.
In that same race, Rice Shower was 5th, Nice Nature was 15th, and Twin Turbo finished dead last in 17th after a total "reverse jet" burnout.
The girls quickly found the room, but Festa was shocked when she entered. Nobuko-sensei was pale and gaunt. Cancer is terrifying in any world.
Festa felt her heart skip a beat, this wasn't the vibrant teacher she remembered. She felt an immense surge of gratitude toward Trainer Mizuki for her diary.
She wondered how to repay her— perhaps a premium handmade chocolate for Valentine's Day? Though if she let Gold Ship help make it, Mizuki might see it as an act of revenge rather than gratitude.
"Is... is that... Festa?" Nobuko-sensei coughed, trying to sit up. Her father gently helped her. "Slow down, Nobuko. Look, four students came to see you."
Nobuko-sensei looked around, her eyes clouded with confusion. "Four? But I only see... three... where is the..."
"Ahem! The fourth one is right here, Nobuko-sensei!" Tamamo Cross snapped, her hands on her hips.
She was so short she had been completely overlooked. She felt a wave of despair, her height was her eternal trauma.
'If only I had eaten like Oguri when I was little', she thought. "Tama-chan" was instantly depressed.
"Oh... so you were there... sorry..."
Nobuko-sensei looked down and finally noticed Tamamo Cross right beside Nakayama Festa. She quickly explained, "It's because Festa is... so tall... that I was looking up the whole time and didn't see you..."
"It's totally fine, I don't mind at all!"
Tamamo Cross said the words, but internally she took 10,000 points of critical damage. This was a pain she'd have to soothe on her own.
However, she didn't let it linger, she quickly regained her smile. After all, she was here for Nobuko-sensei. The teacher recovering her health was more important than anything else.
"Festa, I haven't been feeling well lately, so you shouldn't come by too often... and to all of Festa's classmates... if she gets into trouble at Tracen... please look after her... and if you ever have difficulties, feel free to ask Festa for help..." Nobuko spoke with effort.
"She has always been a warm-hearted child."
Even though she had only met these lovely Uma Musume once, she knew they were good kids. All Uma Musume were. Leaving Nakayama Festa in their hands gave her great peace of mind.
"Teacher, what are you saying? You're definitely going to get better soon."
The medicine Nakayama Festa obtained had a special function: It would automatically blend into Nobuko-sensei's next meal. She believed that once her teacher ate, she would surely recover.
Nobuko was moved by Festa's words. She wasn't sure if she would truly survive, but seeing Festa's friendships and her father's care made her feel the beauty of life.
She had spent so long teaching Festa what it meant to be "alive," and now, from her hospital bed, it was Festa who made her feel the joy of living.
She wanted to live, she wanted to witness Festa's growth, her bravery in the Takarazuka Kinen, and her fighting spirit at the Arc de Triomphe.
"Is that so? Then thank you. I promise you, Festa, I will fight this illness to the very end," Nobuko-sensei said seriously.
Watching this, Copano Rickey was so touched she nearly cried. She had seen many sick people, but Nobuko-sensei was the most severe.
Knowing the "medicine" was in place, she chimed in: "Don't worry, Nobuko-sensei! I'm an expert in Feng Shui. I've just cast a divination for you— your life force is incredibly tough, and your longevity is very, very long. There will definitely be a happy ending!"
Rickey's words were sweet as honey, warming everyone's hearts and bringing smiles to their faces. After Nakayama Festa saw the medicinal pill dissipate into the air, she felt at ease. She shared some recent stories with her teacher and then took her leave so Nobuko could rest.
Meanwhile, in the Tokyo countryside:
"What... I only got 11th at the Arc? Deep Bond got 18th, and Do Deuce 19th? Damn it!"
Titleholder felt a surge of indignation. Equinox had reached the top of the world, but she had suffered a crushing defeat in 11th place. She knew the heavy rain and the difference between Longchamp and Japanese turf caused issues, but the result was still too bitter.
She was so frustrated she wanted to headbutt something to vent. Compared to Equinox's achievements, didn't she look like a small fry?
'No way, no way!'
She gritted her teeth, the gap between her and Equinox wouldn't stay that wide forever. She vowed to work even harder.
In another part of Tokyo, the adorable Deep Bond saw her own result, and her face turned as red as a ripe apple.
She wanted to find a hole to hide in.
She wasn't as thick-skinned as Titleholder, finishing third from last made her too embarrassed to show her face.
"Efforia, don't look!" Deep Bond covered Efforia's eyes with her hands to hide her dark history.
They were rivals, in the 2021 Arima Kinen, Deep Bond (ridden by Ryuji Wada) had narrowly lost to Efforia (ridden by Takeshi Yokoyama).
It was a heartbreaking second place for Uncle Wada, who was just a hair's breadth away from another G1. But Efforia in 2021 was truly radiant, displaying the aura of a true monarch.
Anyone who saw that Arima Kinen would, like the commentator, scream at the moment of the finish:
"EFFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIA!!!!!!!"
That dominant performance was why Takeshi Yokoyama was so highly praised in 2021, and why his subsequent slump with Killer Ability in 2022 earned him the "Early-bloomer" nickname.
Despite the memes, Takeshi had great resources and talent. He just needed to stay humble and keep learning, especially with the legacy left by his father, the elder Yokoyama.
Back to the present: Efforia was being spun around by the blushing Deep Bond. "I can't see anything, Deep Bond!"
"You're not allowed to look! No, no, no!"
Eventually, they calmed down. Efforia comforted her friend, noting that at least Do Deuce finished behind her. She really knows how to cheer someone up.
In reality, Do Deuce was a bit of a "fun-loving horse." After arriving in France, his mind was less on the race and more on the food. French cuisine suited his palate so well that he gained weight. Although his training times were decent, he finished 4th in the G2 Prix Niel and ended up near the very back in the Arc itself.
Do Deuce knew how to enjoy life, whereas Titleholder had bet everything on that rain-soaked Great Escape, which took a toll on his body, leading to a 9th-place finish in the 2021 Arima Kinen.
Mizuki's diary continued, and every Uma Musume read with bated breath.
[With the Kikuka Sho over, all eyes turned to the next major event. Because many top-tier horses skipped the Kikuka Sho for the Autumn Tenno Sho, the 2022 edition of the race had unprecedented heat and attention.]
[No one could have predicted the sensation this G1 race would cause. A legendary "Race of the Century" was about to be born. At the same time, the "Road to the Top" for a Horse of the Year was about to begin.]
[October 30, 2022. Tokyo Racecourse. The 166th Tenno Sho Autumn begins. Equinox is the 1st favorite, the previous year's Derby winner Shahryar is 2nd, and Jack d'Or is 3rd.]
[The gates fly open! Every horse surges forward to fight for position.]
[Panthalassa successfully initiates his Great Escape. Lemaire's Equinox fights for a spot but settles into 10th, deciding on a Late Surger strategy. Meanwhile, Geoglyph and Shahryar wait in the mid-pack, looking for an opening.]
[At the second turn, North Bridge (ridden by Yasunari Iwata) veers inward sharply, obstructing Danon Beluga's (ridden by Kohei Matsuyama) path. But Danon Beluga adjusts quickly, finding a line near the rail!]
[The competition between the forward group and the chasers is incredibly fierce.]
[But Panthalassa... just as was declared before the race, he begins a frantic acceleration and flight the moment he leaves the gate.]
[To everyone's shock, facing absolute powerhouses like Equinox and Shahryar, the 7th-favorite Panthalassa, clad in his blue racing silks, clocks a staggering 1000m split of 57.4 seconds. The pace is so high it stuns the entire stadium.]
[He is nearly fifteen lengths ahead of the second-place horse, Babbitt, and the gap is widening. There is no sign of him slowing down.]
[Such a massive Great Escape opened the eyes of younger spectators, while veteran fans began to cheer with raw passion. In this era, decades after their youth, they were seeing it again. They saw a horse with this much personality and a Great Escape that could set the world on fire.]
[The crowd of over 100,000 is boiling! Panthalassa flies forward, guarding that beautiful scenery ahead, refusing to yield a single inch. The commentator screams in excitement:]
["1000 meters passed in 57.4 seconds!"]
["An ultra-fast pace of 57.4!"]
["Panthalassa's Great Escape! He has already passed the Zelkova Tree!"]
(T/N: The Zelkova Tree is a type of tree found in Japan. There's a famous one at the Tokyo Racecourse.)
["A gap this large! This incredible lead!!!"]
["The New Twin Turbo is showing us a total blowout!!!!"]
["Panthalassa! Can he hold it all the way to the end?!!"]
[At that moment, the atmosphere hit its peak. Panthalassa crossed the 1000m mark of the Tenno Sho in 57.4. This time, behind the Zelkova Tree, there was no tragedy or despair. Even after the devastating fall years ago, the scenery ahead remained beautiful.]
[In this moment, countless people thought of Twin Turbo, and even more thought of the 1998 Tenno Sho Autumn, where the brightest star of the Japanese racing world, Silence Suzuka, also crossed the Zelkova Tree at a 57.4-second pace.]
[However, in that race, Silence Suzuka suffered a catastrophic fracture after passing the tree. It was a nightmare that took him from the world. Even with a shattered leg, he endured the agony and refused to fall until he had carried Yutaka Take safely to the outside of the track.]
[Take was unable to escape the shadow of that race for a long time, taking a leave of absence. The jockey set to replace him reportedly sought out Take and gave him a harsh scolding to snap him out of it.]
[Yutaka Take was completely awakened by this jockey and regained his composure, returning to the racecourse.]
[This jockey's name was Hitoshi Matoba]
[Matoba himself had witnessed the demise of his most regrettable horse, Rice Shower, at the Takarazuka Kinen three years prior. Though Take returned to the track, he never forgot. Even years later, he would say: "It is a deep regret that still pains me today."]
[For countless fans, Suzuka's departure made that day known as "Silence Sunday."]
[But now, Panthalassa's appearance felt like it was healing that old wound. Behind the Zelkova Tree, Panthalassa remained stable, leading the way.]
Mizuki paused, feeling a wave of emotion. she felt immense pity for Suzuka. To run a 57.4 back in 1998... he was truly a "Otherworldy Front Runner."
[At this point, the stadium was in a total frenzy! Everyone was wondering: Are we about to witness the birth of a Great Escape for the ages? And to do it in a G1 as prestigious as the Autumn Tenno Sho!!]
[Fans watched the accelerating Panthalassa, and a crazy thought emerged in their hearts!!]
[A legendary race! A legendary race! They might be witnessing the birth of a legendary race with their very own eyes!!!!]
[It's highly likely that Panthalassa is going to win it all in this exact fashion!!]
[At that moment, countless people could no longer sit still, they stood up and began cheering for Panthalassa!!!]
[However, they didn't know yet that while they were indeed witnessing a legendary race, the way it would unfold would be a thousand times more terrifying and shocking than they could ever imagine!]
[Entering the final straight, the roar of the crowd shook the entire Tokyo Racecourse!]
[Panthalassa was still in a Great Escape, and at the final 400 meters, he held a massive lead of over fifteen horse lengths over second place!]
[This was an absolute gap that seemed impossible to close. The horses in second place couldn't even see Panthalassa's tail!]
[But right there on the final straight, countless other horses began to accelerate, starting their pursuit of Panthalassa!]
[Yet many wondered: Faced with such a staggering lead, can they really catch a Panthalassa that hasn't slowed down yet? He might actually pull it off!]
[How exactly would this "Great Escape of the Century," which had driven the entire crowd wild, come to an end?]
[Under the gaze of the entire stadium, the commentator's voice was electric with excitement.]
[He hadn't seen such a thrilling race in years.]
["Panthalassa is still sprinting!"]
["Passing the fourth turn and entering the final straight!!"]
["Can the horses behind catch up?! Can they still make it!!"]
["Will the escape succeed? Panthalassa, of the Lord Kanaloa line!!!"]
["The escape of Panthalassa, 400 meters left!!"]
["Babbitt is moving forward, and Karate is making a move from behind!!!"]
["Danon Beluga begins to accelerate, and there's number 9, Jack d'Or!"]
["Equinox is chasing from the outside!"]
["Can he catch up? CAN HE CATCH UP?!"]
[At this point, many jockeys were scanning the situation. They found their openings and began a frantic acceleration, desperate to catch Panthalassa. They weren't going to just sit and wait for death.]
[But even though their judgment to accelerate early was correct, Panthalassa was simply escaping too fast!]
[Facing such a vast distance, unease crept into their hearts. Perhaps, this time, Panthalassa really would get away.]
[However, at that moment, a scene no one expected occurred!]
[On the final 600-meter straight of Tokyo Racecourse, a figure began to close in from the wide outside. Equinox, the genius who had been filled with nothing but regret during the Classic races, began to display his absolute dominance.]
[The moment he hit the straight, accompanied by Christophe Lemaire's whip falling, Equinox activated his final spurt. In the wide-open space of the outer track, he locked onto his target and began an ultra-high-speed sprint.]
[Panthalassa, amidst the boiling roar of over a hundred thousand people, was desperately racing toward the finish line!]
[But would he really escape?]
[Or would Equinox deliver the fatal blow and pass Panthalassa!]
[Panthalassa galloped forward relentlessly!]
[But Equinox radiated the aura of a Horse of the Year, chasing Panthalassa with a terrifying speed that shocked the world!!]
[In this instant, the entire crowd was stunned. Equinox's speed was staggering. Was he truly this powerful? He was erasing almost the entire gap in a heartbeat!!]
[Everyone went mad!!]
[200 meters left! 100 meters left!!!]
[In this duel between the "Great Escape" and the "Great Chase" who would stand tall at the end!!]
[The stadium erupted in a deafening cheer!!]
[Everyone's eyes were wide, refusing to miss even a single second!!]
[And finally, the finish line arrived!]
[Under the horrified and disbelieving eyes of 100,000 spectators, Equinox, chasing with a world-shaking final 3-furlong speed of 32.7 seconds, passed Panthalassa right before the finish line, completing a monumental reversal that will forever be etched in the JRA history books.]
[Countless people realized instantly: It had happened. A legendary race, more shocking than they had imagined was born!!!]
[It was a race without equal!]
["In the end, it's a strike from the genius!!!!!!!!!!"]
[As Equinox crossed the line, all of Tokyo Racecourse descended into pure madness. The blood of countless fans boiled, they were excited to the extreme because everyone knew they had just witnessed the birth of a truly great race!]
[This 2022 Tenno Sho Autumn will undoubtedly be discussed repeatedly years, even decades, from now.]
[This race, insane from the start until the very last moment, and the passion brought by these horses is destined to shock generation after generation.]
[Through this race, Equinox secured his first G1 victory, which was also the first G1 win for the Kitasan Black line. He took his first step on the Road to the Top. This Titan of the world's turf revealed his sharp edges at this moment.]
[One horse leads, all others fall into their shadow.]
[Equinox had the last laugh, the title of "Genius" was well-deserved.]
[However, even though Panthalassa only took second, he won the hearts of millions. Many believe he wasn't a loser in this race. The explosive escape he provided and his heroic form passing the Zelkova Tree allowed countless fans to heal the regret of Silence Suzuka failing to finish that Autumn Tenno Sho years ago.]
[A unique personality of the new era had arrived, the space behind the Zelkova Tree was no longer a place of tragedy.]
[Panthalassa gained countless fans through this race.]
Mizuki, writing this, felt that Equinox's strength was truly terrifying. To run a 32.7-second final leg as a three-year-old was incredible. Panthalassa had debuted in 2019 and was already a seasoned veteran in 2022, having raced two years longer than Equinox.
For a horse, a two-year gap is massive. Usually, Classic-year winners get dominated by older horses in the Arima Kinen.
Yet Equinox, a Classic-year horse, caught a Panthalassa who was running the race of his life. He wasn't just a genius, he was a genius among geniuses.
Poor Panthalassa. If Equinox had been born just one year later, his Great Escape would have been the undisputed headline of history.
But he ran into a monster like Equinox and became the backdrop. It's no wonder that at Panthalassa's retirement ceremony, his trainer, Yoshito Yahagi, still held a bit of a grudge.
When a JRA reporter asked Yahagi: "What are your expectations for the future children of Panthalassa, who worked so hard throughout his career?"
Yahagi gripped the microphone and said, teeth clenched: "I really want to see Panthalassa's children defeat Equinox's children."
Everyone present lost it, clapping and cheering. They couldn't wait to see the foals of Panthalassa and Equinox battle it out.
Panthalassa's bloodline is excellent too, don't forget he is a foal of Lord Kanaloa. As a stallion, Lord Kanaloa achieved the amazing feat of having his offspring win graded stakes races across all JRA venues by November 2021.
The horse that secured that final record for him was Panthalassa, winning the G3 Fukushima Kinen. In that race, Panthalassa's first 1000m was even crazier: 57.3 seconds.
One can only imagine that Yahagi will instill a strange mindset into Panthalassa's foals. Never mind the championship— just beat Equinox's kid.
It's understandable, being caught by Equinox after such a legendary escape would leave anyone frustrated for a long time.
But that is the cruel world of horse racing. Meisho Doto could say the same: "If it weren't for T.M. Opera O, I'd have 6 G1s! Wouldn't the title of 'Overlord of the Century's End' title belong to me?"
Speaking of the 2021 Fukushima Kinen, there was another ridiculous thing. Fans used Panthalassa to insult Contrail.
They took screenshots of Panthalassa's explosive run and captioned them: "See this, Contrail? This is called persistence!!!" basically telling Contrail to get out there and actually race.
Moving on, I hope the breeding for Equinox and Panthalassa goes well. Hopefully they have a 99% hit rate like Gold Ship.
Just... hopefully they aren't "Five-Second Men" like Gold Ship. T
here's a rumor that Gold Ship loves breeding and isn't picky, but he inherited his grandfather's "Chestnut Coat Fetish." He loves chestnut mares so much he gets overexcited and "finishes" the job too quickly.
He's a bit more normal and lasting with mature mares who aren't his specific "type," like Meisho Beluga.
But the "5-second Gold Ship" has already become a permanent meme. Under any breeding video, Gold Ship's name appears.
There's no way around it, his horse porn has already been exposed by the two-legged beasts.
