[1st POV]
Death was a less than comfortable thing. Dying to a cancer you cannot get rid of is even worse. And that is something I myself had never wanted to go through, but I have.
I died of a cancer I could not stop. Stage 4, brutal and not something I ever wanted to go through in my life. But I had, and I couldn't stop it.
It had dashed my dreams, ruined them. My dream of becoming a proper artist, of singing in front of a crowd. I loved music, it was my favorite thing in the world, and I had studied it. Anything and everything involved with music.
Studying how to play the piano, guitar, singing, everything.
I wasn't the best at singing, but I was damn good with a piano, and was considered a prodigy at the guitar. But that didn't matter once I was diagnosed. A cancer that would make it impossible for me to reasonably do what I love.
And I hated it.
I tried to fight the cancer, to continue what I love. To spend my days doing what I wanted, but none of it mattered. I couldn't continue, my sickness was too strong and would only make it harder to continue what I love.
So, I'm dead now.
An infinite void that was my personal hell...well, I think at least. The only thing I could do here was contemplate the future and wonder what was going to happen to me while I am here in a literal hell.
During my life besides music, I also loved watching tv shows, mostly because I was bed ridden so much later into my life. So, I found a number of shows that I really enjoyed. Shows like How I Met Your Mother, Shameless, Criminal Minds, Chicago Med, and my favorite of them all was Modern Family.
I loved that little family, and I binged the entire show several times while I was in the hospital. I wished I had something like that, a family like that, so close together. But my family was more...strict than them, all about business.
We were rich, sure, but we weren't close. It was only thanks to their money that I was able to do what I loved, and that is one of the only things I am grateful to them for.
They had been strict about certain things, with my father being huge in the stock market and being pretty damaged and skilled at investing. Something that he made sure to drill into me even if I really didn't want to know about that shit.
So I knew about investing and the history of it, like what was a good investment and shit like that. I didn't really care about it, but maybe it'll be useful in this situation? Considering I am in the void, this could potentially be a reincarnation situation of some sort?
And if the strange pulling sensation that was gripping me was any indicator, it seemed that might be the case.
As soon, the darkness of the void began to disappear, as I was pulled away from this dark place.

[3rd POV]
Within a small homey bedroom a gorgeous teen lay. She stood at around 5'4, with long dark hair, and a gorgeous physique. This was the recent reincarnator, a teen that died at the age of 19 in her past life. And her new name was...Billie.
Yeah, she looked VERY similar to a certain musician from her past life. More than that, she carried the same name, but she was not the same person. For one, she didn't have much of a family besides her grandmother who had been raising her for the past 14 years after a car accident took her parents from her.
Being a 15 year old who looked like the woman she carried the name of from her past life was definitely...interesting. She didn't mind it too much though, as once she turned 10, she realized that she had something else.
Talent. A lot of talent. Like, more talent than she ever had in her past life. Not only that, but she seemingly had an almost perfect knowledge of every song from her past life that wasn't already a thing in this world.
Which meant that this was likely some sort of boon. The immense talent in all musical instruments, her incredible voice, all of it. She was basically a genius in all things musical to an incredible degree, and she was pretty happy with that fact.
Opening her eyes, Billie let out a yawn. She had been living with her grandmother for a long time now. Said grandmother was...old, as in, late 70's old. She was also sick, having dealt with cancer several times throughout her long life. But she loved her grandmother more than anything, especially because she was so supportive compared to her parents from her past life.
Hell, she even managed to get her grandmother to open a brokerage account, which would allow her to invest and buy stock of certain companies she knew would succeed.
And thanks to the money her parents had set aside for her, she was able to buy a lot of stock in order to set herself up for the future. As while she loves music more than anything, she wasn't stupid enough to ignore investing. Her father from her past life had taught her the right companies to invest in, and had even done tests on it.
Which meant that she was able to buy stock of companies that would become HUGE in the future. Like Amazon, Netflix, and other smaller companies that were only starting to get big now. A backup plan for the future if her singing career somehow didn't turn out.
But considering what her voice sounded like, her natural knowledge and talent in writing and remembering songs, and she was pretty damn confident that she could become even bigger than the Billie Eilish she knew from her past life.
It's still weird to think of it like that. Was she thinking of herself in another world, or a different woman?
She gave up on thinking about that fact a few years ago, and focused more on taking care of her sickly grandmother.
"You awake Grandma?" Billie asked, stepping out of her bedroom into the hallway towards where her grandmother's bedroom was.
"Hmm? Oh yes I am awake honey, just give me a few minutes to get ready" Her grandmother's aged voice responded.
The home that they lived in wasn't too big, but it was comfortable, and was the same home that her grandma had lived in for most of her life. In actuality Billie thanks to her investments, could afford a nice mansion if she wanted.
But she liked her life right now, and preferred it.
That, and it was currently the year 2009, and if she remembered correctly, it was the start of the show "Modern Family".
Yeah, she was in the Modern Family universe, at least, she lived where it took place. In actuality she knew that this world was a combination of various different shows, considering she had seen a thing on the news about the Goliath National Bank, which is from How I Met Your Mother.
She knew Modern Family took place where she lived, because she lived in LA, and had seen the Phil Dunphy signs a few times when going out with her Grandma.
She wasn't really interested in interacting with them, as she was more focused on starting her music career, and taking care of her grandmother.
The main way she planned on starting her career was through a neat little website that had been blowing up as of late. A little website called...YouTube.
Yeah, it was her ticket to popularity and a musical career.
But for now she needed to focus on her grandmother, and homeschooling which had been very easy for her. As she remembered the things taught in her past life, and was pretty good at math thanks to that.
Sitting in the living room after taking a nice shower, Billie looked over to her grandmother "You alright Nana?" Billie asked, as the woman chuckled.
"I'm fine darlin, I'm not that sick" She responded, as Billie rolled her eyes. Her grandmother loved to act strong, but she could tell that she was getting close to the end. She just hoped she could deal with the emotions that'll come with losing her grandmother.
"Well alright, but I'm still making you breakfast" Billie responded without waiting for her grandmother's response, and began to make a morning breakfast for her. It usually led to bacon, eggs, toast, sausage, and hashbrowns.
Her grandmother just watched her cook, a small sad smile on her face. She knew that Billie was aware of how sick she was, and she knew that she didn't have long left.
She remembered the doctor's words. The news that she had a month or two left of life before her cancer took her. She decided against chemotherapy or anything else, knowing that it would just prolong it. Whereas instead she wanted to make sure her granddaughter had the right tools to continue on.
An inheritance, setting up the right paperwork for emancipation (which she was old enough for) and a number of other things. All being prepared for Billie for when the time comes.
She just hoped she could last long enough to see it all finished.

That's the end of the chapter!
This was just the introduction chapter and that's about it. The next chapter will be a timeskip as her and Haley will first meet and get together when Billie is 18 and Haley is 17 (just before she turns 18, as her birthday is December 10th in the show).
And as you'd assume, music is a big part of this, so be ready for that. She'll be singing both songs from the real life Billie Eilish, as well as other artists that won't be existing in this, like Khalid, d4vd (Who I don't like for obvious reasons, but his music is good), and some others.
Haley will also be joining her in a musical career, as Sarah Hyland (the actor for Haley) is actually an incredible singer. But she will still be doing stuff with fashion and other stuff.
And there won't be much drama in terms of their relationship, so no cheating or anything. The most there will be is some arguments and that's it.
They'll also be taking part in other shows, with timeline for said shows being changed around to fit. Shows like Shameless, How I Met Your Mother, and some others will be appearing.
