[3rd POV]
After the little meeting with Gloria, Billie had stayed with Gloria for a few more hours until Jay, Manny and Haley had returned home from their own thing. The thing they had been doing was doing a mixture of what Manny and Haley had wanted.
They went to a mall for Haley, which she mostly just went shopping in while hoping that none of her fans caused problems for them, which thankfully they did not. She mostly was just going shopping because there was some things she wanted to get for the house, and she wanted to find some new movies to watch.
That and she ended up buying some pokemon packs and other stuff to open, since she liked opening them with Billie and amassing her own little collection. It was not even remotely as big as Billie's, but it was still well above the average size of a collection.
It was hard to compare to a collection that was worth literal millions. And this is before the hobby blew up like in the future, in which it would be worth tens of millions by that point.
She owned some of the rarest cards on the planet. Like the illustrator pikachu and several others. Which if she graded it and it got a ten, would be worth roughly 16 million dollars going based off of future prices after Logan Paul makes the cards way more expensive than they used to be.
He was also part of the reason why the hobby became miserable to collect in, and why scalpers were everywhere.
Thankfully she knew about it, so Billie bought all the cards she had ever wanted whenever she got the chance, and opened packs. As well as keeping a large sealed collection in a fancy display and everything.
She was a huge pokemon nerd, basically. And Haley liked to feed into that love of the hobby by occasionally buying her packs of sets she wanted to collect more of.
Besides the shopping in the mall, which had only lasted around an hour or so, they had also gone around for Manny as well. With that, he had wanted to go to some nearby store that sold some really over the top and ugly top hats.
Haley had absolutely no clue why the hell the kid wanted a top hat, but she had long learned to not question what he did, because Manny was...well, he was a bit of a weirdo, even by her standards.
She thought Alex was weird for most of her life, and then she met Manny, and realized that he was an entirely different level. To an almost creepy degree, especially when she sometimes caught him looking at her or Billie in a manner that was definitely not appropriate.
He had actually done it when they were getting his stupid top hats. But that wasn't all, and was not the reason why things had sort of gone south. It was because he had attempted to touch her, particularly low on her back and close to an area that nobody but Billie was allowed to touch.
Something that thankfully her grandfather had noticed, and promptly shut down the exact moment he noticed it. While also dragging the kid off to the side to explain exactly why that behavior was incredibly problematic, and very wrong.
That and Jay had promised to talk with Gloria about this, because it started out as a harmless little crush thing, that was not really that weird. But now that she had known him for a few years, and was in a very real and very serious relationship, it had become weird. Especially since the family knew she was lesbian.
She imagined that if her mom ever found out, she would go on a rampage about him. But she didn't think that Manny needed that. He just needed a stern talking to and many some mental help with a proper professional or something, should this continue at least.
It didn't help that Gloria babied the hell out of the kid. Something that would probably not continue now that Jay had noticed how incredibly uncomfortable it made her.
Billie found out after they had their dinner, and Haley had to basically force her to not call Gloria about this.
Haley had never seen her girlfriend so enraged with someone before. But Billie genuinely looked like she could murder Manny after hearing that he had tried to touch her in an inappropriate manner.
Either way, Haley had a feeling that the kid was going to have a rough few months ahead of him. And the next few get together with him involved was going to be very awkward between them. Mostly between Billie and them, since she would likely make sure Manny stayed far away from her.
Her girlfriend was damn protective when she wanted to be. There was a reason why no paparazzi douchebags had ever gotten in her way. Because Billie basically threatened them with enough lawsuits to push them into crippling debt for the rest of their lives. And push them into a court case that they would 100% lose with how creepy their practices tended to be.
Manny would probably not be let out of Gloria or Jay's sights after this though, not with that. Honestly the fact that the dinner even happened afterwards was only because Gloria and Billie seemed to be in a good mood, and Jay and Haley didn't want to ruin it.
That and Manny didn't seem to understand what he did was wrong, so he was kinda chill about the whole thing. Which is why it was imperative that Gloria was told about his inappropriate nature.
After calming Billie down though, the night had continued and had been pretty chill for the most part. Watching one of the movies that she had bought had been pretty damn fun, even if it was kind of awful and super over the top. It was one of those movies that is so bad that it's weirdly good.
It was the perfect movie to end what was kind of a shitty day for Haley. Cuddled up with her awesome and protective girlfriend, watching a terrible movie that made her girlfriend cry of laughter at how utterly ridiculous it was.
Haley just hoped their time in bed would be just as perfect~
