Interval the Multiverse
A Douluo Continent Odyssey

Prologue: The Reader and the Black Book
Ayush sat on his rooftop in India, scrolling through Douluo Dalu on his phone. He had just finished the second installment, his mind reeling from Tang San's manipulations and Huo Yuhao's tragic fate. Disillusioned, he switched to other novels—Battle Through the Heavens, Swallowed Star—but nothing could erase the bitter aftertaste.
Unbeknownst to him, a mysterious black book drifted through the cosmos. It slipped through space-time cracks, entered Earth's atmosphere, and descended onto his rooftop. As Ayush slept, the book floated before him, extracted his soul, and sealed it within its pages.
The book traveled again—through voids, parallel worlds, and fractured dimensions—until it arrived at Douluo Continent, but not the one Ayush knew. This was a twisted reflection, a timeline where Huo Yuhao had already lived, died, and been reborn as Tang Wulin. A world where Tang San's schemes ran deeper than any novel suggested.
And Ayush's soul, now merged with shards of divine consciousness and ancient memories, was about to awaken.

Chapter 1: The University of Cosmic Threads
Ayush opened his eyes in a white room. Screens floated around him, displaying search results, wiki entries, and novel chapters. A soft, synthetic voice spoke:
"Welcome to the University of Cosmic Threads. You have been enrolled as a Multiverse Observer."
He sat up. "What… is this?"
"You are in a pocket dimension designed to study, navigate, and stabilize multiversal narratives. Your background in novel analysis and your connection to the Black Book of Fate have qualified you for this role."
Ayush remembered the black book. "Am I… still me?"
"You are Ayush, but your soul now carries echoes of Huo Yuhao, Tang Wulin, and others whose stories intersected with the Book. You are a Composite Chronicler."
A screen flickered, showing live feeds from different Douluo timelines: Huo Yuhao fusing with the Snow Empress, Tang Wulin awakening the Golden Dragon King, a version of Huo Yuhao arriving at the Sun Moon Empire.
"Your task: enter these worlds, cultivate the Nine Elemental Stars, and prevent narrative collapse. You may use the University's resources—including interdimensional search engines and cultivation archives—to assist you."
Ayush stood. "Why me?"
"Because you questioned the story. Because you saw the plot holes, the cruelty, the unwritten chapters. The multiverse needs a reader who can also become a writer."
A portal swirled into existence.
"Your first assignment: Douluo Continent, timeline Sigma. Huo Yuhao has just obtained the Snow Empress's soul vein. The system has given him a choice: Shrek Academy, Sun Moon Empire, Body Sect, or Holy Spirit Cult. The vote is live. You must ensure he chooses… wisely."
Ayush stepped through.

Chapter 2: The Streamer and the Scholar
Ayush arrived in a snowy forest. There, Huo Yuhao—pale, beautiful, and bleeding—was broadcasting to a live stream of viewers. Ayush recognized the scene: after fusing the 800,000-year Snow Empress soul vein, Huo Yuhao was choosing his next path.
Ayush opened his palm. A holographic screen appeared, connected to the University's database.
Search Query: Sun Moon Empire soul tool development, quantum glasses blueprint, long-term strategic value.
Result: Sun Moon Empire leads in soul tool innovation. Quantum glasses can evolve to Level 9, capable of deconstructing Title Douluo soul skills. Recommended for growth-oriented protagonists.
Search Query: Body Sect spirit eye control attribute, limitations, risks.
Result: Control attribute can dominate Title Douluo consciousness but requires extreme mental fortitude. High risk of backlash if target's will is stronger.
Search Query: Holy Spirit Cult spirit eye devour attribute, moral degradation, eventual fate.
Result: Devour attribute absorbs soul and mental power, leads to corruption, likely to become a villain narrative. Not recommended for protagonist sustainability.
Ayush watched the live stream. Viewers were debating, voting, donating. Huo Yuhao looked tired but determined.
Using the University's subtle influence, Ayush nudged the stream's algorithm. Highlighted comments about Sun Moon's technological advantages, about building a new legacy rather than following Tang San's shadow.
Huo Yuhao's eyes glinted. He opened the system panel.
"I choose… Option Two. Sun Moon Empire."
The stream erupted. Ayush smiled. One timeline stabilized.

Chapter 3: Cultivation of the Nine Elemental Stars
Back at the University, Ayush studied the Nine Elemental Stars cultivation system. Each star represented an element: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Dark, Space, Time, Spirit. To master them, he would need to travel to key points in the multiverse where these elements were concentrated.
His first target: Fire Star.
Location: Dragon Valley, timeline Gamma.
Objective: Absorb the essence of the Fire Dragon King's soul shard.
Ayush arrived in Dragon Valley—a barren, bone-strewn wasteland. In this timeline, Huo Yuhao had already taken the Dragon God's soul fragments, but embers of elemental power remained.
He activated the University's Elemental Resonance Scanner.
"Fire energy detected: 78% concentration near the eastern bone mound."
There, a crimson crystal pulsed—a leftover from the Fire Dragon King's divinity. Ayush sat before it, cycling his soul power. The Fire Star in his spiritual sea ignited, drawing in the flame essence.
But a shadow moved. A remnant dragon soul, angry and broken, attacked.
Ayush's training kicked in. He wasn't just a reader anymore—he was a cultivator. He summoned Spirit Eye: Divine Sense, a skill inherited from Huo Yuhao's lineage, and pacified the soul with a wave of mental energy.
The Fire Star stabilized.
"First Element: Fire – Mastered."

Chapter 4: The Tang God King's Gaze
Across timelines, Tang San felt disturbances. His divine sense, fractured and scattered, detected an anomaly—a "reader" who was rewriting stories.
In timeline Beta, Tang San's divine will confronted Ayush at the Cloud Sea.
"You are not of this narrative," Tang San's voice echoed. "You disrupt fate."
Ayush stood firm, the Black Book floating beside him. "I am of every narrative. I am the Interval—the space between your plots."
Tang San attacked with a shred of Asura God power. Ayush activated Nine Stars Array, a defensive matrix of Fire, Water, and Wind. The clash shook the Cloud Sea.
"You cannot control all stories," Ayush said. "Some readers become authors."
He opened the Black Book. A passage glowed—the tale of Tang San's forgotten kindness, a memory buried ten thousand years ago. Tang San recoiled, his divine sense flickering.
"The multiverse is larger than one God King's design," Ayush whispered. "And I am here to ensure it stays that way."

Chapter 5: The Sun Moon University Arc
In timeline Sigma, Huo Yuhao enrolled at Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. Ayush, posing as an exchange student from "Cosmic Threads University," joined him.
Together, they attended lectures on soul tool theory, studied quantum inscription arrays, and experimented with spirit computing. Ayush introduced Huo Yuhao to multiversal search engines—allowing him to access blueprints, cultivation methods, and historical records from other timelines.
Huo Yuhao built his Quantum Glasses: Mark II, capable of scanning soul skill structures and simulating battles against legendary foes from other worlds.
But trouble brewed. The Body Sect attacked the academy, seeking the Snow Empress's energy. Ayush and Huo Yuhao fought back—Ayush using his Nine Stars Elemental Art, Huo Yuhao using Snow Kill Waltz and soul tools.
During the battle, Ayush felt the Space Star activate—allowing him to teleport short distances, dodging attacks and repositioning allies.
After the victory, Huo Yuhao looked at Ayush. "You're not from this world, are you?"
"No," Ayush admitted. "But I'm here to make sure your world gets a better ending."

Chapter 6: The Council of Chroniclers
Ayush returned to the University. There, he met others like him—Multiverse Observers from different novel worlds, each tending to their own narratives.
A woman from Battle Through the Heavens, tending to Xiao Yan's flame evolution.
A man from Swallowed Star, guiding Luo Feng's cosmic journey.
They were the Council of Chroniclers.
"The Black Book chose well," the Council leader said. "You've stabilized three timelines already."
Ayush presented his progress on the Nine Elemental Stars. Five mastered: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light. Four remained: Dark, Space, Time, Spirit.
"The final star—Spirit—requires you to merge the consciousness of key protagonists," the leader explained. "Huo Yuhao, Tang Wulin, and… yourself."
Ayush understood. He was to become the Soul of the Multiverse, the anchor point for all Douluo narratives.
---
Chapter 7: The Final Convergence
Ayush entered timeline Omega—a world where all Douluo stories collided. Here, Huo Yuhao, Tang Wulin, and even Tang San coexisted, their memories overlapping.
Ayush began the ritual. The Nine Elemental Stars circled him, forming a celestial map.
Huo Yuhao approached, offering a wisp of his Spirit Eye divine sense.
Tang Wulin gave a fragment of the Golden Dragon King's will.
Even Tang San, reluctantly, surrendered a thread of his God King authority.
Ayush absorbed them. The Spirit Star ignited, connecting all Douluo timelines into a stable, branching multiverse.
The Black Book floated open, its pages now filled with infinite possibilities—not one fixed story, but many.
---
Epilogue: The Eternal Reader
Ayush returned to his rooftop in India. The sky was clear. The black book lay closed beside him.
He opened his phone. A new app appeared: Multiverse Chronicle. It allowed him to browse timelines, check narrative stability, and even draft new story branches.
He was no longer just a reader. He was the Interval—the guardian of possibilities.
He typed the first words of a new story:
"In a vast galaxy teeming with countless seas of stars, amidst which floated innumerable planets and suns, there was a reader who became the author of worlds…"

THE END… AND THE BEGINNING.
