Chapter 3 - “The Person I Hate Most”

The enraged Claimoor launched an attack with its tentacles—the same attack that had destroyed my apartment.Eleanor dodged it and, almost simultaneously, unleashed her fire spears.Seeing that Eleanor easily avoided its strikes, the Claimoor lunged directly at her, attempting to impale her with its tentacles.

She raised an ice shield with her left arm while holding her fire spear in her right hand—another relic of her family. She stood before the Claimoor, a monster like the one that had taken her parents' lives years ago.I could barely recognize her. Dressed in an ancient combat suit, she looked like a warrior goddess.

Even though it was a battle to the death, she smiled. Her movements were so coordinated and precise that it seemed more like a dance than a fight.

When my mind finally stabilized, I noticed the bracelet lying about five meters away.Crawling as best I could, I picked it up and slipped it onto my right wrist.Immediately, it felt as if my body would explode—my blood raced, my heart pounded, and for a few seconds, my vision went dark.

It was the first time I had felt that power—an ancestral power bestowed upon the first members of the ÓBroin family, one of the earliest lineages descended from the Supreme Beings.

Once I fully assimilated the relic's power, I turned to find Eleanor. She was about twenty meters away. I shouted at her with all my strength to get back.

Hearing me, she combined her fire and ice powers, producing an explosion that pushed the Claimoor back, leaving it sprawling on the ground.

At that moment, I brought my hands together, pointed at the monster, and unleashed a beam of ice with all my might. The Claimoor tried to block it with its tentacles, but the attack was unstoppable.

The impact created a curtain of smoke-like gas. When it cleared, the Claimoor was completely frozen.

Eleanor, who had moved about ten meters away, charged forward and screamed:"Disappear, you cursed monster!"

She struck it, shattering it into hundreds of pieces.

And there we stood—Noah ÓBroin and Eleanor Sevianko. The person who had tormented me for years. The being I hate most in this world.
