What? Packed? All of them? There were more than thirty everyday clothing sets... jeans with stylish tops, dresses, jumpsuits... and not to mention the countless jewelry, purses, and footwear paired with them. She did not have the space to store them, and more importantly, she could not afford this many, not in her wildest dreams! So she looked at the assistants, wide-eyed, not knowing what to do.
"Based on your reaction, we can guess your lover didn't tell you he had already paid." They giggled.
"He... he is not... my lover!"
Adele was flustered and dumbstruck. Did she give them that impression? What? His lover? Ahh! That could only happen if she were a confident, charming lady... but she was neither, was she?
The ladies continued giggling as if not believing Adele. "Uhm…. Do you have any preferred fashion choices?"
Adele shook her head.
One assistant shrugged. "Don't look at us like that, Miss. We're just following orders. Come closer and see which one you like the most."
