Title: The Writer Turns Evil
Seven Ring First' Stage Vol 2
Chapter 18
Our story begins exactly where it ended before.
A scene inside the Ring is shown—
A Goblin monster, trembling in fear, says:
"You are that legendary wolf, right? The one who is called the Wolf Lord?"
Wolf monster:
"Do you know me?"
Goblin monster:
"Who doesn't know you? In the entire Monster Verse, there is only one wolf who fought alongside our Monster King.
I heard you went to a battle and died, but you are alive."
(Writer explains: Hello, my dear reader.
This is the same wolf monster who was defeated by the MC. This is just to remind you.)
Wolf says:
"Those are old stories. Under which lord do you serve? You don't look like a lord to me."
Goblin monster:
"You're right. I am not a lord. I am just a soldier. I was sent here by my lord.
The Goblin Lord is dead."
Wolf monster:
"I have never heard the name of your Goblin Lord."
(The wolf directly insults him.)
Wolf asks:
"What are you doing here?"
Goblin monster:
"My new lord sent me here and told me to stay until someone calls me from outside… oh, I see…"
Now we are shown a scene outside the novel—
Kartik is seen covered in black aura. Slowly, all the black aura fades away.
Laughing loudly, he says:
"Now it will be fun… I only want to win now."
The system looks at Kartik—
Kartik's eyes turn completely black and his clothes also become fully black.
Now it feels as if Kartik has completely turned evil.
The system window also changes from red to black in front of him.
What happened in the novel after Kartik fainted—
The system window says:
"Kartik, this is what happened…"
Kartik replies to the system window:
"Who is Kartik? Call me Master."
(He says it in a very evil way.)
"If you want that, you will have to obey me."
System window:
"A weak human like you being called master? That will never happen. It seems your mind is not in the right place."
Kartik:
"Hmm, you're right. My mind is not in the right place, that's why I'm speaking politely.
You will regret it later."
System window:
"What can you even do to me?"
Kartik:
"You should remember, I am your host. If I die, you will die too."
System window:
"Why are you saying that? Your life or death makes no difference to me."
Kartik:
"Oh really… fine then."
Kartik starts banging his head against the wall without stopping.
Blood begins to flow from his head as he says:
"So it really doesn't matter?"
The system window begins to panic.
Kartik:
"I can clearly see your fear now.
Now I am completely sure."
(Laughing, he runs toward the wall to hit his head again.)
System window:
"Okay, stop… Master."
Kartik:
"Now it's fine, right? Only Master."
System window:
"Okay."
Kartik asks:
"How powerful are you?"
System window:
"What are you trying to say?"
Kartik:
"Compared to the system of the novel's MC, how much stronger are you?"
System window:
"We are equal.
That system grows stronger by consuming Monster Cores.
My power increases based on the evil deeds my host commits—the more evil the deeds, the more power I gain."
Kartik:
"Okay… what is the percentage chance that you will win in a fight?"
System window:
"Eighty percent."
Kartik:
"How? Our powers are equal, right?"
System window:
"Yes, our powers are equal, but that system has sealed its host's power.
All systems receive fifty percent of their power from their host.
Since that host's power is sealed, our chance of winning is higher."
Kartik:
"Okay… I see."
System window:
"What are you thinking? Tell me."
Kartik:
"We will attack."
(With an evil smile.)
System window:
"We cannot do that. It is against the law."
Kartik:
"I know… we will not attack Navi.
We will attack the system window instead."
(He laughs.)
System window:
"Even then, how will I enter the novel?"
Kartik:
"You are forgetting something… I am the writer now.
I can change the laws of the story."
"Now get ready for the fight."
Kartik says to his system window.
System window:
"Okay, Master."
Our chapter ends here.
