Chapter 4 - THE PRICE OF LOVE

Chapter : 4 .

The Unknown Man's Warning (Flashback)

(When the unknown man was leaving the girl on the planet): There is one thing I forgot to tell you. Be careful. The heart you now possess will not tolerate feelings for anyone. If someone falls in love with you, your memories might start returning. BUT, if even one percent of feeling for that person arises in your heart, all the power of this heart will transfer to the one who loves you. And once it reaches him, the power will become even stronger. To regain your power, you must simply create hatred for yourself in that person's heart, and then your power will return to you.

The Girl: Why are you doing this to me? Please don't take my memories. If I never meet someone who loves me, how will my memories return? And I truly do not want to extract human hearts anymore.

The Unknown Man: That is exactly why I am giving you this punishment. You have killed almost all the people on this planet, but the 100 who were protecting it from you did not die. Those 100 people will give you a severe punishment for what you did to the people of this planet, and it's possible they might kill you. But don't worry, because of the power of my heart, you will come back to life. Taking your memories is your punishment, and you will search for, or you will meet someone who loves you. I am taking all your memories. And when those 100 men come and kill you, you won't even know why they are doing it.

The Girl: Please don't do this to me! I beg you!

The Unknown Man: It is too late for that now.

(Then the unknown man places his hand on the helpless girl's head, takes all her memories, and the girl falls unconscious. When the girl opens her eyes, the same 100 men who survived him are surrounding her.)

The Girl (Seeing them all): Where am I? And who are all of you? What are you doing near me?

One of the 100 men (who was very angry) says: You speak as if you haven't done anything!

The Girl: What do you mean? What have I done? Have I done something bad to you all?

The Same Man speaks again: "Bad" is too small a word, and why are you pretending to be ignorant? Do you even know what you've done?

The Girl: I swear, I haven't done anything, and why do all of you look so angry?

Now another man (who was even more enraged than the first) speaks: I will tell you what you have done! You slowly killed all the innocent people of this planet. You showed no mercy, or rather, should I say, you extracted the hearts of the people on our planet! I don't know how you did it, but you look weak now. The time has come for us to take revenge for the lives of the people of this planet. We will all kill you!

The Girl: No, this is all a lie! I didn't do any of that! And how can I even extract hearts?

Then all the men shout: You are lying! We are going to kill you! Get ready!

The Girl screams loudly: NO! DON'T KILL ME!

The Awoken Power

(As the girl screams this, Suha's eyes open, shouting the same words.)

Hong: Doctor Suhon, I'll talk to you later.

(Hong cuts the call and runs to the bed.)

Hong: What happened? It seems you had another bad dream.

Suha: Yes, I had a very bad dream this time. Many people were trying to kill me. Hong, listen to me, if I tell you that I am the worst girl in this world, would you still love me?

Hong (Holding one of Suha's hands, speaks angrily): Who were those 100 men? Tell me, I will take all their lives! And what are you saying? I know you cannot do anything bad! And even if you truly were the worst girl in the world, I am here to love you, and my love will fix everything.

Suha (To herself): So, those dreams were about my past life. In my dream, that unknown man told me that it was my punishment that he was taking my memories. That means he took all my past memories. And just as he said, if someone truly loved me, my memories would return, and if even one percent of feeling for him arose in my heart, the heart's power would transfer to the one who loved me. So, that means Hong loves me, and I also developed feelings for him! This means my memories are returning because of Hong's love, and because I felt a slight feeling for Hong, the power of my heart is now inside Hong. And I have even forgotten how to use those powers, which must now be with Hong. To regain my power, I will have to create hatred for myself in Hong's heart.

Hong: Do you go into such deep thought every time you wake up from a bad dream?

Suha: No, I am just silent because I was scared by the dream.

Hong: I told you, as long as I am alive, you don't need to be afraid. Even if thousands of demons come near you while I am here, they will have to fight me first, and I will kill them all, and I won't let you be sad even for a moment.

Suha (To herself): He is such a good person. I don't think I can create hatred for myself in his heart and take my power back. But I don't remember how to use those powers, which should now be with Hong. How will Hong use that power?

Suha: I am very hungry. I need something to eat.

Hong: Yes, of course! You just command me, and I will do anything. I will bring very good food for you right now.

The Forbidden Power and the Missing Heart (Again)

(As Hong is leaving the house, he encounters his father):

Father Chayon: Didn't I tell you not to leave the house?

Hong: Suha is hungry, and I want to bring food for her from a five-star restaurant myself.

Father Chayon: Then tell a servant to bring it! Is it essential for you to go?

Hong: No, Dad. The person I love, I don't want anyone else to do her work. I will do all of Suha's tasks myself. I must leave now because she is very hungry.

(Saying this, he walks out of the house, opens both his hands, and stretches. One of his hands is pointed towards a bodyguard standing there. As he clenches his hand into a fist, the bodyguard collapses to the ground.)

Hong: Oh dear, what happened to him? I don't have time for all this right now; I must go.

(Saying this, he leaves to get food. When he returns with the food):

Father Chayon (Angrily): Do you even know what happened here?

Hong: Yes, before I left the house, a bodyguard collapsed unconscious.

Father Chayon: He did not collapse unconscious, he is dead! And when he was sent to the hospital, it was discovered that that bodyguard's heart is also missing!

Hong (To himself, with surprise): Now, how did this happen? What is going on? Did that demon really come here for Suha?

Hong: Tell me, is Suha all right?

Father Chayon: I wish that girl had never come to my house! Because of her, our bodyguard died today! I told you, didn't I, that some demon would come to our house looking for her! Get that girl out of this house right now!

Hong: No, Dad. If a demon had come here for Suha, it would have killed everyone. It wouldn't have killed just one bodyguard and kept quiet.

Father Chayon: Fine, then tell me how that bodyguard died, and where his heart went from his body!

Hong: Don't worry. I will send the bodyguard's body to Doctor Suhon, and I am sure he will find some solution. I am sorry, Dad, but I have to go to Suha now. And if Suha leaves this house, I will leave with her. It would be better if you understood that.

.Then, when Hong enters the room with the food, Suha is looking out the window.)

Hong: Suha, are you alright? I was very worried about you.

(Suha turns to Hong and says):

Suha: Nothing, I was just looking at the sunset from this window. It looks so beautiful, doesn't it?

(Hong walks close to Suha, looks out the window, and says):

Hong: Do you know, Suha, why I chose this room out of so many in my house?

Suha: Yes, that's right, why did you choose this room?

Hong: Because the sunset looks so beautiful from here. Before, whenever I was sad about something or feeling very strange, watching this sunset made me forget everything and feel much better. But ever since you came into my life, you have become my sunset.

Suha: What do you mean? How can I be a sunset?

Hong: Hmm, what I mean is, just as watching the sunset gave me peace, now seeing you gives me peace, Suha. It was the 14th of April when I saw you for the first time. After that April 14th, I forgot the sunset I used to see from this room's window. I just thought about you all the time. And it's not that I only saw you while you were going to college... I used to come to the market even outside of college just to see you, and I would keep looking at you.

Suha: Why did you fall in love with only me in this whole world, when I was so poor and you are so rich? You could have gotten a very high-status girl.

Hong: I told you before, I have rejected countless girls. No girl ever appealed to me, except you. I just know that I can do anything for you, and in my eyes, you are not a "low-status" girl. You are my sunset, which gives me peace.

Suha (To herself): I was tired of killing humans in my past days. I didn't know that such good people could exist on this planet, Earth, like this Hong. I will not create hatred for myself in his heart. I will tell Hong everything at the right time. Anyway, my memory has not fully returned yet. The day my memory fully returns, I will tell Hong everything about myself.

Suha: I am happy that you find peace because of me.

(Saying this, Suha hugs Hong tightly.)

Hong (Embarrassed): Oh, what happened, Suha? Are you scared?

Suha: No, I'm not scared, because you said I don't need to be afraid when you are here. I am just hugging you because I won't let you go away from me now. You are mine now.

Hong (To himself): Oh man, what should I do? Her delicate body is giving me such a good feeling. I wish this moment would just stop here, and I could keep hugging her like this.

(Then Hong suddenly remembers today's incident.)

Hong: Oh no, Suha, I just remembered something very important. Can you let go of the hug?

(Hong to himself): I don't want her to stop hugging me, but I also need to call Doctor Suhon.

Suha: What happened? Don't you like hugging me? I'm not letting go of the hug so soon, no matter what you do, because I feel so good right now hugging you.

Hong: If you feel good hugging me, then hug me for as long as you want.

Suha: Okay, then be prepared!

Hong: I am ready for you anytime, Suha.

(Hearing this, Suha's smiling sound reached Hong's ears, and Hong thought to himself): Oh, she smiles so beautifully.

(Then, Suha stood hugging Hong for almost 20 minutes without saying anything.)

Hong: It's been 20 minutes now, and you aren't saying anything.

(Suha did not reply.)

Hong: Hey, Suha, say something!

(Hong gently lifts Suha out of the hug and looks at her.)

Hong: Oh no, she fell asleep without eating anything, and she was so hungry! And now it's night too.

(Then Hong lays Suha on the bed and covers her with a blanket. He begins to wait for her to wake up, and while waiting, he calls Doctor Suhon.)

Hong: Hello Doctor Suhon, I am completely free now. We should talk.

Doctor Suhon: Yes, Sir Hong, I was telling you that when we tested the blood of that demon, we found that this demon is not from Earth. Because its blood cells do not match our Earth's life source at all. Its blood cells are much more powerful than human blood cells. This means no human on this Earth could have destroyed it.

Hong: So, that means this demon was not killed by a human. Should we assume that there is another demon among us? Because today, one of my bodyguards died, and when his body was sent to the hospital, it was found that there was no heart in his body. And there were no marks of injury on his body. How can someone extract a heart without tearing the chest? The same thing happened with the demon; someone removed its heart without tearing its chest. And if we talk about Suha's father, in his case, it is a bit strange. The demon first killed him, then tore his body into pieces, and then stole his heart.

Doctor Suhon: Do you think there is someone among us who can remove a heart without causing damage to the body?

Hong: The chances of that are very high. We must tell the world everything about this tomorrow, that this demon is not from this world. And why hasn't the Japanese government taken necessary steps yet?

Doctor Suhon: The government is waiting for our report. Only when we present our report to the world will the government take necessary steps.

Hong: All right, then. Everything you have found so far in your research on this demon, we will present that report to the world tomorrow.

Doctor Suhon: All right, Sir Hong. I will start preparations right now. So, if you have anything else to discuss, you may do so.

(Hearing this, Hong thinks for a moment and looks at his left hand.)

Hong (To himself): Oh, this handkerchief belonged to that man. Wait, yes, when I went to see the dead demon, I had some blood on my hand before that. Oh yes!

Hong: Doctor Suhon, I need one more blood test done. When I went to see that dead demon, I had raised both my hands towards the sky in anger before that. But at that moment, some blood suddenly appeared on my hand from nowhere, and I had no idea where it came from. So, I safely kept a little bit of that blood with me so I could find out whose blood this is.

Doctor Suhon: Do you still have that blood with you?

Hong: Yes, I do. Should I bring it to you right now for testing?

Doctor Suhon: If it's no trouble for you, you can come.

Hong: All right, I'll be right there.

(Then Hong gives instructions to his servants at home to give Miss Suha food very respectfully if she wakes up from sleep. After a while, Hong reaches Doctor Suhon's science lab.)

Hong: Hello Doctor Suhon, I have brought the blood.

Doctor Suhon: Very good. Now wait a little; I will be back after testing this blood.

(After a while, Doctor Suhon comes to Hong, looking very worried.)

Hong: Oh, what happened, Doctor Suhon? Why do you look so worried?

Doctor Suhon: Sir Hong, the blood test report is such that even you will be worried seeing it.

Hong: Oh, what came in the report?

Doctor Suhon: Take this, here is the report. You see for yourself.

(As Hong reads the report, he says in a state of great worry): This cannot be! The blood on my hand matches the DNA of that demon! But why????

It was midnight. A man completely

wrapped in a sheet was walking on a deserted road. Four men, who were intoxicated and used to rob people, were roaming on the road.)

One of the 4 Men: Hey, look at that guy! Why is he walking alone on the road this late at night? Why don't we rob him?

The Second Man: Yes, besides, this is our area. Let's go and rob him.

(The four intoxicated men then stood in front of the unknown man.)

One of the 4 Men: Listen, you've come to the wrong area. This area belongs to us at night. And whoever comes into our area at night, either he dies, or he leaves all his belongings—all his money—to save his life. So, hand over all your money quietly. Besides, you look very poor.

(The unknown man walks forward without saying anything.)

The Third Man: Hey, are you deaf? Can't you hear?

The Unknown Man: If the four of you value your lives, leave this place.

(The four men laugh and say): Are you going to kill us? You are alone, and we are four! Now you will die by our hands!

(Then the man points one hand toward one of the four, and says): I gave you a warning, but you people didn't clear my path.

(Then the man clenches his hand into a fist, saying): Now you die!

(The man toward whom the unknown man pointed his hand was instantly sliced into small pieces and scattered.)

(The other three men were terrified seeing the fate of their friend, and screaming "Help! Help!" they started running back.)

The Unknown Man (Shouts from behind): Alas, the three of you have seen my power, so all three of you must die. No one who sees my power once survives.

(Then he points his hand at the three men who are running away, and this time he clenches his fist tightly. And those three men were instantly scattered into small pieces, except for their hearts. Not a single body part of the four of them remained intact.)

The Unknown Man (To himself): These three were even weaker than I thought. Why do I have to do the work that girl was supposed to do? And the signal I received was from this planet. I don't understand how these weak humans killed the demon I sent, especially since that demon's power was equal to mine. I had instructed that demon to only search for that girl, not kill any ordinary human, so how did it die? I received the signal that someone loved that girl from this planet, which humans call Earth.

Did that girl kill my demon? As far as I can guess, the heart I gave her, and the power of that heart called Heart Teleport, is a power that allows one to teleport a person's heart without damaging their body by placing a hand in front of them and clenching the fist. And that heart is teleported to our Queen. But this power doesn't work on the demon I created.

When that demon's heart reached our Queen, I understood that the girl had fallen in love with someone and had given all the power of her heart to him. That demon was not killed by the girl, but by the boy whom she loves.

Oh no, this is trouble! My power must have become even stronger after going to that human. And now I feel that this human might be so powerful that he can even teleport my heart! Oh no, this is all my mistake. If I hadn't taken her memories and if the Queen hadn't teleported her to Earth to save her life, none of this would have happened.

Now I cannot sense the girl at all. It is certain that the girl has given all her power to a human. I must first learn about this human's new power, otherwise, that human will kill me too. And now I need to teleport the hearts of these four foolish humans to our Queen.

And now that girl is useless, and I don't think she will be able to regain her power by creating hatred in that human's heart. Therefore, I must kill that girl and extract that human's heart.

Wait a minute, does that human know that the power of my heart is inside him? We needed the hearts of the humans from this universe to make our power even stronger. That girl sent us 50 billion human hearts, which she had teleported before coming to Earth. And our Queen has absorbed all those hearts. And now we have to prepare an army of 200 billion demons made of human hearts.

But now a human has entered our path who possesses our power, which might now be stronger than ours. For now, I must escape from that human and make a plan on how to acquire that powerful heart from him.

I was able to sense the girl to some extent because of the power present in her heart (which was mine), but now I can't even sense that, because my heart is completely powerless now. And the power of my heart is in that human's heart, but the heart is his own, so I can't find out anything about that human—where he is right now. He is in this city, but where?

(On the other side, Hong, who went to the hospital to find out about the blood that suddenly appeared on his hand, was shocked to see the test report that the blood's DNA matched the demon's DNA.)

Hong (In a state of shock and worry): This cannot be! Where did that demon's blood come from on my hand? There was no one around me at that time, so how could the demon's blood have appeared on my hand?

Doctor Suhon: You said that the blood came onto your hand when you raised both your hands toward the sky in anger. What were you thinking at that time?

Hong: At that time, I was thinking about killing the murderer of Suha's father. As soon as I thought that and clenched my fists, blood suddenly appeared on my hands, which scared me, and I stepped back. Then, after 2 minutes, many people ran past me to see the dead demon, and I went too.

Doctor Suhon: So, that means after raising your hands in anger and thinking about the murder of Suha's father, and clenching your fists, that demon died? Because you thought about the murder of Suha's father at that moment, and this demon is Suha's father's killer. But the question is, the demon died quite far from you, so where did that blood come from on your hand?

Hong: Could what you are saying be true? Did that demon die just by me thinking about Suha's father's murder and clenching my fists? But if that really happened, where did that demon's heart go? Oh man, what is going on?

Look, Doctor Suhon, we will not reveal this matter to the world in tomorrow's worldwide live report, because everyone will consider me the killer of that demon. Whatever has come to light through our thinking so far suggests that I killed that demon. But truthfully, I was just thinking about killing that demon; I didn't know that it would die just by my thinking and clenching my fists.

Doctor Suhon: We don't know what is happening in this world right now, but if we want to save the honor of our city, Japan, we have to prevent your report from reaching the public. And now, do one thing: give me your blood for testing. I need to test your blood.

Hong: Yes, why not? You can test my blood, and hiding this report from the world would be better. We will only present the demon's blood test report to the world, and we will not reveal how it died.

(After this, Hong leaves his blood with Doctor Suhon and drives toward home in his car. While driving, he is deep in thought.)

Hong (To himself): The way that demon killed Suha's father suggests it was looking for Suha. And if I think carefully, all these strange things have been happening ever since I met Suha. Ever since I met her, she has been having strange dreams whenever she sleeps. What is going on?

And this evening, when I was going to the five-star restaurant to get food for Suha, I stretched and pointed one hand towards my bodyguard and clenched my fist. After I did that, the bodyguard died, and his heart was also missing. Have I gained some power? Oh, I will go crazy! What is happening?

(Then Hong suddenly sees something lying on the road. He stops his car and goes to look at the thing.)

(As soon as he sees it, it is none other than the four men who were killed by an unknown man just a little while ago.)

Hong (Scared, to himself): Oh no, who did this now????
