Aarav walked over to another chair and sat down.
From his pocket dimension, he took out the diary he had found in the scientist's laboratory.
He opened it.
The first entry that caught his attention was dated:
March 2002
«Today was the worst day of my life.
I was thrown out of my laboratory and branded a failure.
I was only one step away from completing my experiment. Just one final solution, and I would have succeeded.
But they called me crazy.
Fine.
I'll show them.
There is no one in genetics more brilliant than me.»
Yash looked up after hearing that.
"Genetics genius?"
He immediately took out his phone and began searching for information about the scientist.
Meanwhile, Aarav wasn't particularly interested in that part.
He simply turned to the next entry.
April 2002
«Finally! My experiment was successful.
I have successfully created an enhanced serum.
Now I only need human trials.
After that, everyone will finally have to acknowledge that I am the greatest genius in the field.»
Yash was still searching through the information on his phone.
After a moment, he spoke.
"According to the DRDO records, there was a time when they were researching ways to enhance human capabilities."
He scrolled through the information.
"But the experiment was considered a failure."
Aarav glanced at him.
"What happened?"
"Every candidate involved in the experiment died."
Aarav nodded silently.
Then he returned to the diary.
The next entry read:
Later Entry — 2002
«They think that stopping the experiment means nobody will ever find out about it.
But I know the truth.
My experiment didn't fail.
They simply weren't compatible.
But one experiment was successful.
They think they can hide my successful subject from me.
They are wrong.
I will find my creation by whatever means necessary.
And I will complete my experiment with a successful result.»
Aarav's expression became slightly more serious.
He continued turning the pages.
The diary became increasingly strange.
Some pages contained complicated calculations.
Others had formulas, algorithms, and experimental results.
Then, completely out of nowhere, there were shopping lists.
A few pages contained random thoughts.
Others contained rough ideas and incomplete theories.
It felt less like a proper diary and more like a place where the scientist had written down every thought that entered his mind.
Then Aarav reached another important entry.
January 2003
«After one year, I finally found him.
My experiment.
But the discovery was disappointing.
He got married.
And he recently had a daughter.
The serum is no longer inside his body.
I've tested his blood samples three times.
Nothing.
But I have a theory.
Maybe he passed the serum to his child.
I need to find her.
I need to obtain her blood samples.»
Aarav stopped reading for a moment.
His eyes remained fixed on the page.
He was beginning to understand the scientist's mindset.
At first, it had been simple ambition.
Then obsession.
Then desperation.
And slowly...
Madness.
Aarav turned the page.
January 2003
«Fuck.
They found out about my human experiments.
I need to shut everything down.
But perhaps this is just another hurdle I need to cross on my path to greatness and glory.»
Aarav's expression remained calm.
He turned another page.
June 2004
«I found this horror palace.
This place has a strange history.
A cursed being is sealed here, and apparently its purpose is to scare people.
How funny.
The palace is also located deep inside a forest.
Perfect.
This place is ideal for hiding and conducting human experiments.
Even if people disappear, everyone will simply assume the ghost of the palace took them.
Very convenient.»
Yash looked over at Aarav.
"This guy was seriously insane."
Aarav didn't answer.
He continued reading.
The next entry was written on the same month.
June 2004
«Damn.
This place really is haunted.
A cursed entity is actually sealed here.
And this discovery has expanded the horizon of my research.
Supernatural entities are real.
Maybe magic is real too.
Maybe immortality is possible.
I've always dreamed of becoming immortal.
And if that's possible...
Then I can finally complete my experiment successfully.»
Aarav slowly closed the diary.
For a few seconds, he remained silent.
The scientist had started with genetics.
Then he had moved toward human enhancement.
After that came obsession, illegal experiments, and the search for his successful subject.
And finally, after discovering the supernatural...
His ambitions had gone far beyond human biology.
Aarav looked toward the sleeping Leo.
Then toward the dark laboratory around them.
"So this is how it started..."
Yash looked at him.
"What?"
Aarav held up the diary.
"He wasn't just experimenting on humans."
His eyes narrowed.
"After discovering the supernatural, he started believing that he could use it to complete his research."
Yash looked around the abandoned laboratory.
"And judging by what we saw..."
Aarav nodded.
"He got much further than he should have."
From the large chair nearby came another loud snore.
"Grrrr... Zzzzz..."
Aarav slowly turned toward Leo.
His expression went blank.
"Although apparently not everyone in this place was interested in his research."
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Kirti lay unconscious on the bed.
Her body was still, connected to the machines, but deep inside her mind, her consciousness had wandered into a place far beyond ordinary dreams.
There was nothing around her.
Only darkness.
Endless, suffocating darkness.
Kirti slowly looked around.
"Is anyone there?"
Her voice echoed into the darkness.
For a few seconds, there was silence.
Then—
Laughter.
It came from every direction at once.
Kirti frowned and looked around in confusion.
Suddenly, the darkness on one side began to disappear, revealing a figure standing within it.
A girl.
She looked incredibly stylish, wearing a modern black outfit with revealing cuts around her waist, shoulders, and thighs. Half of her hair was dyed violet.
But what shocked Kirti the most was her face.
It was exactly like hers.
This was Vishakha.
Vishakha gave a faint, confident smile.
"I look pretty cool and stylish, don't I?"
Kirti stared at her in disbelief.
"Who are you? And why did you copy my face?"
Vishakha's smile immediately disappeared.
"Excuse me? Copy?"
She pointed at herself, clearly offended.
"I didn't copy anything! I've existed for thousands of years before you were even born. My face has looked like this from the beginning. If anything, you copied my face!"
Kirti blinked.
"What?"
"Apparently, even Brahma Ji couldn't come up with another face, so he gave you mine."
Kirti looked even more confused.
"Brahma? Who?"
Vishakha stared at her.
"Seriously? Aren't you from a Hindu family? You don't know Brahma, the creator god?"
Kirti thought for a moment.
"Oh... the lotus guy with multiple heads and a long beard?"
Vishakha gave her a very strange look.
"Really? That's how you describe him?"
Kirti crossed her arms confidently.
"I'm not a religious person."
Vishakha sighed.
"Anyway…"
She looked at Kirti for a moment before continuing.
"We are basically the same person. So how about we make a deal?"
Kirti raised an eyebrow.
"What kind of deal?"
"You remove this seal and let me control your body. In exchange, I'll make you the most capable and powerful person in this world."
Vishakha smiled.
"You'll rule the world."
Kirti crossed her arms again.
"Ruling the world sounds cool…"
She paused.
"But I'm not stupid enough to fall for that. I know that once the seal is removed, you'll take control of my body. So why would I remove it?"
Vishakha's expression twitched with frustration.
"Fine!"
She threw her hands up.
"Then we'll just stay here in this darkness forever. Meanwhile, your body in the real world will remain unconscious forever."
Kirti fell silent.
That thought clearly bothered her.
But instead of acting impulsively, she calmly asked,
"By the way, why did you say we're basically the same person?"
She looked directly at Vishakha.
"And why does your face look so much like mine?"
Vishakha sighed.
"It's a complicated and very long story."
Kirti shrugged.
"We have plenty of time."
Vishakha stared at her for a moment.
Then she sighed again.
With a wave of her hand, a sofa suddenly appeared in the middle of the darkness.
Vishakha sat down.
"This story begins when I was still in Apsaralok."
Kirti walked over and sat beside her.
"Apsaralok?"
"Yeah. The place where all the fairies live."
Kirti nodded slowly.
"So you're saying you used to be a fairy?"
Vishakha smiled.
"Yeah. Don't believe me?"
Kirti shook her head.
"No, I believe you."
She glanced at Vishakha's face.
"Besides, calling you ugly would basically mean calling myself ugly. So go ahead."
Two veins practically popped on Vishakha's forehead.
She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.
"I was the only daughter of the Queen of Apsaralok…"
Her expression slowly changed.
"And I was considered the most beautiful apsara in all of Apsaralok."
As Vishakha began telling her story, the darkness around them started changing.
The black void disappeared.
A beautiful world emerged around them.
Apsaralok.
A breathtaking forest stretched across the land, filled with colorful flowers, sparkling streams, and magical scenery.
Several apsaras were walking through the forest while talking among themselves.
One of them said,
"Why does Princess Vishakha keep running away from the palace?"
Another smiled.
"Because she loves being around nature. Waterfalls, mountains, butterflies… everything seems to adore her."
She paused.
"And whenever she dances, even nature seems to dance along with her."
A few moments later, a beautiful melody drifted through the forest.
The apsara smiled.
"Look."
Everyone turned toward the sound.
There, beneath a magnificent waterfall, Vishakha was dancing.
The waterfall flowed behind her as butterflies fluttered around her. Birds moved through the air, almost as if following the rhythm of her dance, while the surrounding flowers swayed gently with every movement.
The entire scene felt almost unreal.
Even Kirti, who was watching the memory alongside Vishakha, couldn't help but become mesmerized.
"Beautiful…"
Vishakha simply smiled.
After some time, Vishakha finished her dance and walked toward the other apsaras.
"What happened? Why are you all here today?"
One of the apsaras smiled.
"The Queen has summoned you to the royal court."
Vishakha's expression changed.
"Mother summoned me?"
The apsara nodded.
Vishakha sighed lightly.
"Alright. Let's go."
The group began walking toward the palace.
Kirti and Vishakha watched the memory unfold around them.
But suddenly—
BOOOOM!
A terrifying rumble echoed across the sky.
Dark clouds began spreading across Apsaralok.
The beautiful sky was swallowed by darkness.
Kirti looked upward.
"What is happening?"
Vishakha's expression became serious.
"This is happening because of someone's tapas."
Kirti frowned.
"Tapas?"
Vishakha glanced at her.
"Think of it as meditation."
"Oh."
Kirti nodded.
Vishakha continued staring at the dark sky.
"This was the day everything changed."
Her voice became quieter.
"The day I stopped being an apsara…"
She paused.
"And became a demoness."
Kirti looked at her in confusion.
"This was also my last day in Apsaralok."
Kirti turned toward her.
"Why? What happened?"
September 2016
I have finally found a way to become immortal.
I just need to awaken a demoness from her slumber. In exchange, she will tell me the location of an elixir.
Aarav sighed and looked at Yash.
"Apparently, some demoness baited him with the promise of an elixir and made him do all her work."
Yash and Aarav simultaneously glanced toward the scientist's body.
Aarav then turned back to the diary and continued reading.
October 2016
Finally, I found the heart of this demoness.
According to the scriptures I found, the demoness's heart was located somewhere in Lanka. After extensive research, I finally discovered its location.
Aarav turned the page.
December 2016
Experiment No. 1 failed.
Another page.
December 2017
Experiment No. 100 failed.
There isn't a suitable vessel capable of resurrecting Lady Vishakha.
Aarav's expression became serious as he continued.
Then came another entry.
March 2021
Finally.
For the first time, the heart of Lady Vishakha awakened.
I don't know how it happened, but I can finally communicate with her.
Aarav slowly turned the page.
March 2021
According to the coordinates provided by Lady Vishakha, I have finally found a vessel suitable for her.
But there's something even more interesting.
The girl Lady Vishakha told me about is, coincidentally, the daughter of the successful subject from my previous experiment.
The serum I created may still be present inside her.
I need to confirm it through her blood samples.
Aarav's eyes narrowed.
He turned to the next entry.
April 2021
Lady Vishakha's blood sample and Kirti's blood sample are a 60% compatible with each other.
And my serum is indeed present inside her.
Now I just need to activate it.
Once I do that, my experiment will finally be successful.
And perhaps, after that, I will even be able to control the demoness.
Fate is on my side.
Nothing can stop me from ruling this world now.
Yash stared at the diary for a moment.
Then he looked toward the scientist's body.
"So much for immortality and ruling the world."
Aarav remained silent.
Yash turned toward him.
"Did he write anything about how to stop Vishakha?"
Aarav shook his head.
"No. The rest of this diary is mostly nonsense."
He flipped through a few more pages.
"Maybe we should find the scriptures he used to reach Vishakha in the first place. There might be something in them about how to stop her."
Aarav looked around the laboratory.
"Let's search the entire lab."
Yash nodded.
"Yeah. Let's do it."
