Mithra lowered her hands, the glow fading slightly.
Mithra: "There… might be a way. Father, remember the Axis Spire?"
Asura blinked.
Asura: "…The place where all Mantra converges."
Mithra nodded.
Mithra: "The Axis Spire lies between realities. It connects worlds. If Eon is rewriting time, he's channeling energy there. If we reach it… maybe we can cut him off."
Kratos: "Or trap him."
Asura (grinning faintly): "…Then we have no time to waste."
Mithra and Atreus nodded.
A Moment Between Fathers
Kratos glanced at Asura, then at Mithra, then at Atreus.
Kratos (gruffly): "Your daughter… is brave."
Asura met his eyes, voice softening.
Asura: "So is your son."
A pause. The tension between them finally cracked into the smallest hint of mutual respect.
Preparations
Mithra rose.
Mithra: "Then it's decided. We go to the Axis Spire."
Kratos: "Where is it?"
Mithra: "Everywhere. And nowhere. It's hidden in the gaps between timelines. But I can find it… if I have help."
She looked at Atreus.
Mithra: "Your magic, Atreus. You're connected to the World Tree. You can help me navigate the branches."
Atreus swallowed nervously but nodded.
Atreus: "I'll do it."
Kratos placed a heavy hand on his son's shoulder.
Kratos: "We end this. Together."
Asura clenched his fists, Mantra swirling around him.
Asura: "Together."
High above all worlds, amid churning cosmic storms, towered a spire of black stone shot through with radiant Mantra veins. Strange glyphs rotated in rings around its height like planets in orbit.
It was the Axis Spire — a bridge between countless timelines, pulsing in and out of existence like a cosmic heartbeat.
A rip of golden light split open on a platform jutting from the spire's base. Mithra and Atreus stumbled through first, followed by Kratos and Asura.
Kratos grunted, scanning the endless swirling paths.
Kratos: "…I hate magic."
Asura cracked his knuckles, wincing as fresh blood oozed from his wounds.
Asura: "At least your magic doesn't involve monks chanting in your face every time you sneeze."
Mithra pushed between them, fierce and impatient.
Mithra: "Focus. Eon will sense us the moment we get closer to the core."
Atreus stepped forward, trying to peer upward at the impossibly tall tower.
Atreus: "It's like… it goes on forever.
Mithra: "Because it does. The Axis Spire touches every timeline, every realm. Eon's rewriting reality from here."
Eon's Voice Echoes
Suddenly, a ripple of golden light spread across the spire's walls. Eon's voice boomed from nowhere and everywhere, smooth as silk and utterly monstrous.
Eon (echoing): "Ah… my lost children arrive. Even now, you cling to your chains—rage, family, hope. How… small."
Asura snarled, pointing upward.
Asura: "YOU TALK TOO MUCH. SHOW YOURSELF ALREADY!"
Eon: "Soon, Asura. But not yet. First, witness the futility of resistance."
Kratos raised his axe, glaring into the swirling cosmos.
Kratos (growling): "Your fate… is death."
Mantra Guardians Appear
A deafening rumble shook the spire. Plates of black stone slid aside as enormous figures began rising from within the tower.
They were twelve feet tall, sculpted of dark crystal streaked with molten gold. Each had six arms, each hand wielding different weapons of shimmering energy: spears, swords, hammers. These were Mantra Guardians, born of pure cosmic power.
Mithra's eyes widened.
Mithra: "He's channeling the Axis Spire's full power…!"
Atreus pulled out his bow, focused his aiming on them.
Atreus: "…So we're fighting these guys, right?"
Kratos: "Yes."
Asura (grinning): "FINALLY."
Battle Ignites
One Guardian lunged at Kratos, who met it with a roar, driving the Leviathan Axe into its crystal chest. Shards exploded outward in a blast of frost.
Asura shot skyward, spinning, as a cyclone of crimson Mantra erupted around his fists. He slammed down, punching the floor so hard it sent shockwaves ripping through the Guardians' ranks.
Mithra unleashed golden beams, carving into the crystal bodies, while Atreus loosed runic arrows glowing with the branches of Yggdrasil.
As the Fight continue to Escalate, Someone stood firm watching it all from above
